HealthDon’t Panic! 7 Reasons Your Period Might Be Late (besides Pregnancy) by JuicyGee(op): 11:27am On Sep 11, 2013
For the last week or so, I’ve been some what convinced that I’m pregnant. For the most part, this belief was paranoid, but also not entirely outside the realm of possibility. I had sex weeks ago, but de condom didn't break ( so i thought.) So when my period failed to arrive on the day it was supposed to, and the day after, and the day after that, and my breast started feeling sore, well, I began to panic. I started to type “early symptoms of pregnancy” into Google and the search engine, seemingly reading my mind.
Oh God, I thought. It was all but confirmed. My mum was gon' kill me if i was pregnant. so I decided to research all the possible reasons for why my normally prompt period might be late and I (and you, if you’re in a similar situation) shouldn’t be panicking. Here are the seven most likely reasons your period might be late besides pregnancy… and if you make it to the end, you’ll find out whether or not my panicking was all for naught.

* 1. CHANGE IN SCHEDULE:
Changing schedules can really throw off your body clock. This is particularly true if you go from days to nights at work or vice versa. If you frequently change shifts and notice a problems with regular cycles, then see if it is possible to be put on a more permanent shift or at least a shift that only varies after a lengthier time period.

* 2. STRESS: Stress can affect many things in our lives, including our periods. Sometimes we're so stressed out that our body decreases the amount of a hormone (GnRH), which causes us to not ovulate or menstruate. Working with your doctor or midwife can help you figure out what you need to do to relax and get back on schedule. This can sometimes take a few months or more to work itself out.

3. ILLNESS: Being sick at the time you normally would ovulate can delay ovulation — and if you ovulate late, you’ll get your period late. So if your period hasn’t arrived on schedule, think back a few weeks — were you under the weather? Or were you down with fever.

4. PILL POPPING: Taking a new medication or changing the dosage on an existing medication can affect all aspects of your body’s well-being, including your menstrual cycle — that’s why your doctor, including your gynecologist, always wants to know each and every medication that you’re on.

5. WEIGHT ISSUES: A major change in your weight — either by gaining a lot or losing a lot of weight — can throw your ovulation cycle off. People who are underweight or extremely overweight sometimes don’t have a period at all — which is not very healthy. Overall, an incredibly wonky or nonexistent period is a sign of possible health issues.

6. PERI-MENOPAUSE:
Peri-menopause is the period of time where you are transitioning from reproductive age to a non-reproductive age. Your periods may be lighter, heavier, more frequent or less frequent - but mostly just not normal. If you do not wish to get pregnant, be sure to continue to use birth control because you are likely to still be fertile at least some of the time.

7. MISCALCULATION:The average menstrual cycle is 28 days, but many, many women have shorter or longer cycles and don’t chart them correctly — so it may be that your period is not actually late. Additionally, the majority of women have cycles that are irregular and don’t necessarily realize it. If your period is early even by a few days one month, it may arrive late the following month.

And Bamm! I realised i was ill wif fever weeks ago. I also re-call dat my previous period came very early due to a pill i took. Maybe i wasn't pregnant as i thought. I took a pregnancy test nd twas negative, few days later i started my period. Pheww! It was a relive.

BusinessRichest Countries In Africa According To Their GDP by JuicyGee(op): 1:39pm On Aug 18, 2013
Africa is one of the largest continents in the world and the home to 53 nation states. Although regarded as the poorest continent, there are some progressing economies in Africa which are quite wealthy. Here is the list of top ten 10 richest nations or countries in Africa with respect to Gross Domestic Product (Purchasing Power Parity). Interestingly, African Americans spend $960 billion in the US with a projected growth to $1.2 trillion by 2012. If regarded as a nation-state African Americans would represent the 14th largest economy in the world, and the largest nation on the African continent.

1. Egypt: The country has a highly developed economy, and she is the first richest country in Africa having 467,600 dollars GDP (PPP). GDP (Nominal) per capita of Egypt is 187.956 billion dollars in 2009, estimated by IMF. Egypt has a developed energy market based on coal, oil, natural gas, and hydro power. Egypt has huge reserves of gas, estimated at 1,940 cubic kilometers, and LNG is exported to many countries.

2. South Africa is the second richest country of Africa and is ranked 25th in the world in terms of GDP (PPP) as of 2009. GDP (PPP) of South Africa is 403,900 dollars while GDP per capita is 227.379 billion dollars. South Africa is the largest energy producer and consumer on the continent. The country is also a popular tourist destination, and a substantial amount of revenue comes from tourism. Among the main attractions are the diverse and picturesque culture, the game reserves and the highly regarded local wines.

3. Nigeria is the third richest country of Africa continent having $ 294,800 billions GDP compared on purchasing power parity GDP per capita of Nigeria is 165.437 billion dollars with growing population. Nigeria is currently the 50th largest export market for U.S goods and the 14th largest exporter of goods to the U.S. Nigeria used part of its oil profits to pay the residual 40% freeing up at least $ 1.15 billion annually for poverty reduction programs.

4. Algeria is the fourth richest country of Africa having $ 268,900 dollars GDP (PPP) while GDP per capita of Algeria is 134.797 billion dollars estimated by IMF in 2009. The fossil fuels energy sector is the backbone of Algeria’s economy, accounting for roughly 60% of budget revenues, 30% of GDP, and over 95% of export earnings. The country ranks fourteenth in petroleum reserves, containing 11.B billion barrels of proven oil reserves with estimates suggesting that the actual amount is even more.

5. Morocco is the fifth richest country of Africa continent having $ 127,000 GDP (Purchasing Power parity) in her account whereas GDP per capita is 90.775 billion dollars in 2009. Morocco is the world’s third-largest producer of phosphorus and the pricefluctuations of phosphates on the international market greatly influence economy. In the Arab World, Morocco has the second-largest non-oil GDP, behind Egypt.

6. Angola is one of the fastest growing economy in the world. The country is the sixth richest country of Africa having 93,100 dollars GDP compared on purchasing power parity. The GDP per capita of Angola is 69.708billion dollars. Anti-corruption watchdog Transparency international rated Angola one of the 10 most corrupt countries in the world. Oil production from Angola now is china’s biggest supplier of oil.

7. Libya is the seventh richest nation in Africa having 90,600 dollars GDP (purchasing powerparity) while GDP per capita of Libya is 60.609billion dollars. Today, high oil revenues and a small population give Libya one of the highest GDPS per person in Africa. The world Banks defines Libya as an “Upper Middle Economy” along with only seven other African countries.

8. Sudan is the eight richest country in Africa having 80,500 dollars GDP (PPP) whereas GDP per capita of Sudan is 54,294 billion dollars. Currently oil is Sudan’s main export, and the production is increasing dramatically. Agriculture production remains Sudan’s most important sector, employing 80% of the workforce and contributing 39% of GDP.

9. Tunisia: In 2008 Tunisia had a GDP of $ 41 billion (official exchange rates) or $ 82 billion on measured purchasing power parity. It also has one of Africa and the Middle East’s highest per capita GDP (PPP) having 76,900 dollars. Tunisia was the first Mediterranean country to sign an association agreement with the European Union. The Agricultural Sector stands for 11.6% of the GDP, industry 25.7% and services 62.8%.

10. Ethiopia has the biggest economy in east Africa (GDP) as the Ethiopian economy is also one of the fastest growing in the world. GDP (PPP) of Ethiopia is 61,600 dollars and GDP per capita is 33.920 billion Agriculture accounts for almost 41 per cent of the gross domestic product (GDP), 80% of export, and 80% of the labour force. Ethiopia is Africa’s second biggest maize produce.
CelebritiesSinger Chris Brown Sentenced To 1,000 Hours Labor by JuicyGee(op): 9:26am On Aug 17, 2013
LOS ANGELES (AP) — A judge reinstated ChrisBrown's revoked probation Friday and gave the singer a new sentence to perform 1,000 hours of community labor such as cleaning beaches or highways, removing graffiti or performing other chores assigned by the probation department.
Brown's current legal troubles are the latest repercussions of his arrest four years ago for assaulting his former girlfriend, Rihanna.
The popular R&B singer sat in a courtroom for nearly an hour as his lawyer, Mark Geragos, and a prosecutor shuttled in and out of the judge's chambers, with Geragos apparently seeking his client's approval for aplan to keep him from facing more serious consequences.
Superior Court Judge James Brandlin finally emerged and announced that an agreementhad been reached.
Deputy District Attorney Mary Murray withdrew a request to rescind Brown's probation because of a hit-and-run charge
that was dismissed in another court Thursday.
Brandlin then told Brown he must perform 1,000 hours of community labor with one offour public programs: California Department of Transportation highway cleanup, graffiti removal, beach cleanup or Probation Alternative Work Services.
Brown, 24, didn't speak during Friday's hearing, other than to agree to the deal worked out while he waited in the courtroom with his mother and two other people.
The singer has been in and out of court since pleading guilty to the 2009 assault on Rihanna. Besides making reports on fulfilling the requirements of an earlier order for community labor, he has had subsequent run-ins with the law for assault and traffic accidents.
The work that Brown did previously does not apply to the new sentence, said district attorney's spokeswoman Jane Robison. Brown has a year to perform the work and is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 20 for aprogress report.
Brown, who won a Grammy in 2011 for Best R&B Album with "F.A.M.E.," could ask the court to end his probation when he completes the community labor, but the final decision on the length of probation will be up to the judge

FamilyMy Husband Complains Too Much, Says Divorce-seeking Wife by JuicyGee(op): 5:55pm On Jul 19, 2013
ILORIN – A housewife, Folake Femi, on Wednesday urged an Ilorin Area Court to dissolve her two-year-old marriage to her husband, Adeyemi, claiming he was fond of complaining.
The 27-year-old woman, who is a resident of Niger Area of Ilorin, told the court that her husband was fond of complaining about everything she does.
*Court
“My husband always criticises and condemns me in the presence of my friends, not minding the humiliation this has brought to me,” she said.
She said that their marriage was contracted in 2011 and had produced one female child.
“ My Lord, I want an end to this marriage because I cannot endure the humiliation anymore,” she said.
The respondent, however, objected to the prayer of his wife, saying he was still interested in the marriage.
“My wife needs thorough supervision whenever she is cleaning the house because of her lazy nature, and that compels me to always criticise her,” he said.
Adeyemi promised to always encourage her henceforth and prayed the court for an adjournment to enable him make a reconciliatory move.
The presiding Judge, Mr Yusuf Abdulkareem, adjourned the case to Aug. 30 for a report of settlement or continuation of hearing.

PhonesApple Probe: Woman Dies Using A Charging Iphone 5 by JuicyGee(op):
Apple is investigating the death of a Chinese woman who died after being shocked while answering a call with her iPhone 5, which was charging at the time.

Apple said it is investigating the death of a Chinese woman who was fatally shocked while on her iPhone 5,which was charging at the time, according to a Reuters report.
The incident occurred last Thursday when Ma Ailun, a 23-year-old woman who worked as a flight attendant for China Southern Airlines, answered the charging phone after just getting out of the bath., police told the Xinhua news agency on Sunday.
In a statement to Reuters, Apple did not say whether the incident in the western Xinjiang region of China was isolated.

The incident was tweeted by Ma’s sister after blogging the incident. She reported that her sister, who was planning her wedding on August 8, fell to the floor after picking up the call. The tweet was reposted more than 3,000times and prompted arguments over whether Apple’s handsets were safe to use whilst charging
"We are deeply saddened to learn of this tragic incident and offer our condolences to the Ma family," Apple told the news agency. "We will fully investigate and cooperate with authorities in this matter."
According to Apple Insider, the story gained traction after the flight attendant’s sister posted a warning on the microblog Sina Weibo, urging iPhone users to be careful.
In 2008, Apple recalled iPhone 3G power adapters over a shocking risk that affected a small number of adapters, according to Apple Insider.
According to CNET, Reports of malfunctioning smartphones have cropped up from time to time. Occasionally, people will post pictures of a burnt smartphone or burns they got when handling a device. In some cases, however, the reason for the problem is not the device itself.

Say what you will but if someone insistently followed me around everywhr I went just mindlessly snapping photos of me I'd probably flip out eventually too. I know everyone has some negative thing to say about celebs who freak out on paps (I understand that sometimes they DO go too far), but just be honest with yourself for a moment. That would be REALLY irritating. Day after day, year after year? I'm sure my patience wouldn't last either.Yes, I understand it comes with the territory, but I'm just saying I can understand how they lose their cool.
CelebritiesLamar Odom Attacks Photographers, Khloé Kardashian Odom Defends Her Man by JuicyGee(op): 7:50pm On Jul 11, 2013
Even multimillionaire basketball-turned-reality-stars have bad days — as Lamar Odom can surely attest. During a heated rowwith photographers Wednesday afternoon, Mr. Khloé Kardashian snapped, and we're not talking about pictures, people.
According to reports, the notoriously nice guy grew irritated with the paparazzi and asked them, "Put your cameras down and let me talk to you, man to man." To be honest, that doesn't sound like such an unreasonable request to us, but what do weknow?
When they continued taking photos instead of doing as he'd asked, Lamar lost his cool. Naturally, this whole incident was caught on tape.
A videoon TMZ shows him walking over to one of the photographer's cars, opening the (unlocked) door, retrieving a metal rod … and smashing it into the side of the vehicle. Lamar then moves on to another car, apparently also owned by a pap and also not locked.
Lamar then yanks a pile of camera equipment, including a very expensive-looking camera, from the back and chucks itonto the busy street. Stunned tourists and photographers look on as the star has a sudden change of heart and starts picking everything up from the street and putting it in his own Mercedes instead. Guess he decided to take it home.
He seems to be able to compartmentalize hisanger, however, because just moments laterwhen an excited fan requests a photo, he's a total gentleman. He even asks her if he should remove his baseball hat for the shot! (She lets him keep it on — apparently she wanted him to keep that hot head covered.)
Although the whole encounter is less than minutes long, it's quickly become some thing bigger, as Khloé went on a wild Twitter tirade to defend her man despite the latest round of rumors of trouble in their marriage.

"Wow can't believe a paparazzi snuck into our gated area and violated our private property!!!!" she begins before adding,"This is the same pap that did a hit and run but my brother and I caught him and he has the nerve to taunt us!!! Be ashamed of your self."
But she was just getting started.
"F*** the papz!!!!! You f***ing losers!!!!! But shout out to my hubby for posing with the fans! I love my Lam!" she tweeted.
Khloé's rep could not be reached for comment.
Clearly, Lamar's wife is on his side — but will the courts be? One of the photographers involved has already filed a police report for vandalism so we'll find out eventually. In the meantime, maybe the photographers would have more luck with him if they posed as fans.
