I remember in the late '90s and early 2000 traveling that road to Agadez-Arlit then to Algeria/Libya,it was safe and nothing like kidnapping or robbery on the roads.Your fear used to be customs and NDLEA extortionists.

But now,thank God for journey mercy,I won't even try it.
