Foreign Affairs › Re: Saudi Arabia Plans $2 Trillion Megafund For Post-oil Era: Deputy Crown Prince by juman(m): 5:50am On Apr 02, 2016
The yoruba man that was brought in 1999 as president turned out to be a mistake.

The unprecedented money the country got during the oil boom (1999 - 2015) was misused and wasted away.

The money was enough to stabilize the country. If the money was targeted on truly generate power, by now nigeria would have been a mini paradise. Without stable power nothing can work well.

Reference:
It is too obvious. No nation starts its march to industrialization on gas power. It is too complex. The US, Japan, China, all Europe started with coal for power, for steel production, for cement production. It is cheap, abundant, safe and unattractive to theft. Gas is like electricity. It is dangerous, expensive, attractive to steal and its transport is limited. Like electricity, once a pipeline is punctured, even a small hole and the pressure falls, the plant is useless without storage and none of our plants store gas (very expensive - you have to compress it, liquify it and keep it chilled. Where is the power for that). We should abandon gas in the medium term until our economy is founded. We restructure, solve the Delta question, create wealth, lift the poorest and become civilised. Gas is for civilised people not Nigerians that cannot find responsibility in paying utility bills. You can imagine the carnage if NGC was piping gas to homes and Nnamdi wanted to by-pass meters, not connected Wole wanted to tap from gas mains and Kabiru wakes up in the morning to start digging wells.
You are right.

Solar and other sources of power generation is needed.

Power generation from gas is epileptic.
Politics › Re: Ile Kaaro Ojiire (the Yoruba) And Nigeria. by juman(m): 5:00pm On Mar 31, 2016
The kind of unseriousness and mindset of todays "leaders", it appears that one nigeria can never work well. It is just waste of time for common man.
Politics › Re: Ile Kaaro Ojiire (the Yoruba) And Nigeria. by juman(m): 4:55pm On Mar 31, 2016
I agree that awolowo and his group were blessings.

They were able to achieve a lot because they were sincere and committed.

The problem of insincerity and severely unserious "leaders" led to this abysmal state of the nation.

But sadly yorubas have ruled this bad and destroyed country for twenty percent of the life span of the country.

In nigeria the religious clerics (both muslims & christians) are mostly sycophants.

This country became destroyed: there is nobody to say the truth to the useless "leaders" even the so called religious clerics. Those clerics represent only their pockets.

The clueless federal government is not performing well.
