Life became difficult for hardworking ordinary people. |

Hmmmm.
Surprisingly accident within the city can sometimes be fatal.
One time I was in a bus plying from one point to the other within the city and the bus lost control like that. The worse thing was I sat in the front. That day I see that death can come to human being in matter of seconds. |

rummmy: oga if they are what u claim, north should be better than dubai but how com they are the most backward in terms of development, education and have the highest no of disease and illitrates You are right, northern leaders are also very bad leaders. In fact north ruled and ruined this country than the south. From 1979 to 1999, that is 20 years north ruined nigeria. They did not improve electricity generation at all. |
Politics › Re: List Of Northerners And Their Appointments Under Gej's Government! by juman(m): 3:04pm On Aug 28, 2015 |
Jonathan government was dominated by yiibos.
Out of all the governments I have seen, obasanjo government was the most balanced one.
During military rule they did just like how buhari is doing.
But this government of course will consider other parts of the country in the other positions. |

Shymm3x: What country and what authority? You mean the colonial construct and the country named after River Ni.gger?
Well, I'm sorry, Yoruba cultural heritage/tradition is superior to that country and whatever power that comes with it.
Respect the royal stool of the Yoruba ancestors and take ya inconsequential power elsewhere. I understand, one nigeria failed us. Oliri buruku ni awọn "leaders" yẹ. They destroyed the country. They showed that one nigeria is waste of time. |

9jacrip: There are some Kings governors cannot pick or remove at will and an Ooni is one, Oba of Benin is one, Alaafin is one, Oba Eko is one, Sultan of Sokoto is one.
So...
The will of people of Ife prevails. In todays nigeria governors are in charge of their states. |

Respect the throne of those before you and those who fought with their blood in Oshogbo did so for a reason. You make me laugh. Power to be means people in authority across the country. |

9jacrip: That is how you see it on the surface.
The kingmakers each represent a section of how Ife is grouped.
They only act out after holding meetings with those they are governing.
The LG also goes by what these kingmakers recommend.
So... So.... The governor has the final say who becomes the next king. |

9jacrip: Maybe not but I know how things work in Ife and Osun state.
If the emir supports the Aderemi guy and the people of Ife refuse and revolt? It is not the people that choices the king, it is the responsibility of king makers and they work with the local and state governments in doing that. |

Shymm3x: How's it strong in the SW? Is the SW a conquered territory?
I believe almost all the Yoruba crowns are from Ife...so you can't be in a position as supreme and mighty as that, and start acting like a serf. Throwing out common sense and respect for the culture, to jostle for a seat. These folks aren't principled and this clown doesn't deserve the throne. The gods must reject his slimy arse. You make me laugh. nigeria has became interwoven to the extent that powerful people in one section of the country can influence what happen in other part of the country. This kind of visit by princes to power to be is normal. |

9jacrip: Strong in the North, yes.
Strong in the Southwest, no.
The Aderemi dude is only looking to be backed up.
The Emir and the folks he is running all over the place to meet with cannot decide for or hand pick him and then impose him as an Ooni in Ife. You make me laugh. You don't understand how things work in nigeria. The emir was friend to those controlling the affairs of the southwest even before he became king. |

Shymm3x: @9jacrip
I'm not feeling this picture. Why would a Yoruba prince, who might end up as the next king of arguably one of the most important thrones in Yorubaland, go visit a freaking emir of Kano (not even the King of the Sokoto emirate - the northern jihad seat of power)?
It seems those who label modern Yoruba folks as northern slaves aren't lying. This picture is disgusting! The emir is very strong in the north and in the south west. Well anyway giesi family said it's their turn to produce the next ooni. |
