What he did was: (100-100)=10^2 - 10^2 which is wrong. -100 does not have a square root but u can have square of -100 which is equal to +10000. ONLY POSITIVE NUMBERS HAVE SQUARE ROOTS BUT ALL NUMBERS HAVE SQUARES. He failed it when he factorized -100 as 10^2: It is wrong.

I guess, we can prove and disprove mathematics theories as much as we want which shows that maths is not finite.
I admire the guy 's reasoning ability but he flawed when he didn't apply the same mode of expansion to the numerator and the denominator.
1 is a better answer

I'm guessing this was what you did:
(10+10)(10-10) / (10+10)(10-10)= [10(1+1)] [10(1-1)]/ [10(1+1)] [10(1-1)]

There's still a "bracket function" yet to be executed which will reduce your final result to zero when that happens

Lol, the funny thing is, if I interchange how the denominator was expressed with the numerator, I'll get 1/2 which technically will be correct as well (based on the proof)

Nothing wrong with the expansion, it's what happens with the resulting brackets that is the bone of contention.
