Good evening mamas, pls help a ftm. A dietrician told me milk is very important for babies dat is above 6 months, my question is that is formular different from milk? If yes, pls what's the best product you av used? Nov 2017 mamas I throw salute o. Capo @imoge how is princes Zoe?

Mamas,that are having issues with baby refusing to eat it just means the baby is not ready. First of all make sure the baby is 6 months old not 5 months 3 weeks. You will be surprised at how much difference a week can make. Then start with cereal mixed with breastmilk make it a bit watery and get someone else to feed the baby . If the baby refuses continue breastfeeding and wait another week before you try again. Once the baby starts taking that watered down cereal then you gradually start making it thicker and then go on to other foods. Your child still needs milk so continue breastfeeding as well. Eventually the baby will eat but it's a process that takes time

I introduced cereal to her d day she clocks 6 mnts about 7 days ago, there has been no improvement, I ll do what you suggest let's see how it goes. Thanks very plenty mama

Been hearing sudocream but was advised to get this and we never got a bad experience.
My mum is pro ori et al but aftet rashes from bfeeding... milk pouring on her neck i brought this cream out.... n its been wonderful.

I only used on d neck 4 2 days... but i use around nappy area at every diaper change.....

Did you change nappy brands recently? If yes, stop the brand you are using.

Try and air her bum as much as you can and wear nappy only when very necessary until the rash has stopped.

Hello mama, my dd had what my mum referred to as alefo at just 3wks...that's how I rushed her to see her paed who prescribed Mupirocin ointment and it went away without it spreading. Maybe you should attach a pic so I can see if its the same

I think you should post a picture of the rash as this might help. Sometimes it's hard to tell what cream/treatment should be used on a rash without seeing the actual picture.

Hello mamas, pls my princess is having wt yoruba calls 'eela' in her bumbum n am now noticing 'alefo' too n d later is doing as if it wants to b spreading.
Note: am using mixture of shear butter n karinna promade (dats wt we used for my nephew n his body glows very well) then i use sudocream for her bombom wen i change her diaper. I dnt knw wer it came frm. Aldo mil did agbo for her b4 we left her place abt two days ago but am nt a fan of agbo.
Pls anybody dat has xperienced dis shld pls come to my aid. I dnt wnt any crocro on my baby's body. Thanks

The preggy was so easy, no spiting,ms,craving n d likes.
@ 36th week, went for anc n scan shows baby's weight was already 3kg.doc advised me to b more active wc i did.
I went for d nxt anc at 37th week bt i wasnt myself,they almost carried me inside d hospital n ws told baby's head ws trying to engage dats y am feeling d pain at d pelvic bone. My legs swells mildly n i thought its normal preggy thinz. My bp was checked twice but i dnt pay attention cos of d pain. Was sent for urinalysis n everything ws fine.
On friday 5th nov, i went for all night music concert in my church nt knwing wt was wring with me, i just noticed dat my legs started swelling to d xtent dt i became scared dt d skin might tear. It ws so big n everybody was scared. I dnt think of pih cos my bp had been ok since.
Someone frm d hospital started calling dh since sunday bt couldnt reach him cos of church activities bt latter did on monday n says"my bp was high d last time n they minute on my file to come back in 3 days time to know if am ok, so they r calling since they dint c me" i was like nobody told me anything o.......
I woke up wt a terrible headache d fflwing morning wc is Tuesday nov 8, n went for anc, bp was checked n ws 189/130.....i was admited imdiatly n my case ws caled emergency. Baby's heartbeat was ok n d headache wnt stop. Dh went home to bring my stuffs n mistakenly brought baby thinz.
D flwn morning, bp was 169/125 n d md says d best thing is to bring out d baby to avoid story dt touch. I bcame scared dt how ll they operate me wt dt kain high bp n ds serious headache. Dh had left for office bt ws called to come bk imdiately. Mil put facetowel inside cold water n placed it on my head n dat makes d head ache to subside.
We entered d theater @ 10 am. Lines were set n series of injections n drip were given to bring down d bp to a stage at wc d cs can b done. It took dem 2 hrs to d dt.
*12 noon anaesthetics was given n d process started at 12:05, my little princess was brought out @ 12:11 weighing 3kg. She cried for some secs n stopped, chai naso beating starts o. I almost jumped up frm d table bt i cldnt, i prayed n after few minutes she cried out. She was cleaned n dressed yl d other team were busy closing me up. Was taken to d icu yl d baby was taken to our private ward n mil stayed wt her n dh ws wt me.
POST CS
bp refused to come down n i was sedated. They kept on coming to check it every 20mints n diff injections were given to prevent convulsion. It was termed uncontrollable hypertension n pre-eclampsia.
We were at d hospital till Tuesday (a day to d naming ceremony...,chai) cos bp refused to come down. We were later discharged in d evening on a condition dt i wnt stress myself during d naming n dt we ll come bk for chekup in 3 days time wc we did.
My princess OLUWAPAMILERINAYO is doing fine n i cant imagine d joy she's brought into my life n my family.
So sorry for d long story. Just want us all to always notice any slight changes in our body n nt to take anything for granted.
Wanna say tnk u to all d mamas on dis forum, u r all gbaski, i learnt so much here dt u ll think dis is my 4th preggy, dh always luks surprised anytime he noticed how informed i was on all issues of preggy.

I contneu to c my gynae till january dis yr n i missed my feb. appointment Willingly. my period dint come wen it suppose to come in march n i assume it nt being regular again. I have symptoms dat looks as if i ll menstruate any moment so my mind dnt even go to preggy side at all. At a time, i saw blood (nt knowing it ws implantation bleeding) wc comes n goes. (it stains d bed one day n dh asked if i had started my flow i z no but i saw blood.....he was like 'madam u r high on alcohol, wc one is blood if nt ur period' lol)
I decided to do home pt lo n behold i got mt BFP on march 29, wanted yo b sure n i went for blood test wc also confirms it. Waoooooo, did scan n i was abt 6 weeks gone without knwoing.
