PoliticsRe: When It Comes To Leadership/Nigerian Presidents, The New Guy Is Always Worse by jumper524(m): 9:02am On Jul 07, 2022
bn365:
What would be your metric? I am not saying you're wrong, though.
in terms of lame Nigerians analysis.
But in reality, my brother I think the worst president should start from the first president who despite finding things easier, didn't set up a long term visionary prospect that would secure the future of the country.
The country is not where it is today because of current leaders, it is where it is today because of lack of vision from previous leaders.
Lagos, kano, and anambra today are not oweing workers because it's past leaders had set a standard and planned the future of the states properly but same can't be said of other states.
Kogi would always say late prince Audu is there best leader and would have done better than yahaya Bello because he didn't owe salaries during his old term as governor but that can't be said if Audu was still alive and governor cos the truth is that just like yahaya Bello, he too would owe salaries and the reason is simple, growth in population in 2 while growth in productivity in 1.
Now that's the same scenario of Nigeria presidency.

If obj had curb away almajiri system and regulate birth rate base on income at his early stage while he was president and same time set up real standard amongst those northern illetrates.
I'm sure by now those bringing terrorism from west African to Nigeria would find it much difficult to penetrate because there would be little reason to compromise amongst the northerners.

When I say this man just talks like a drunkard una think say I no know.
He talks just for the trend and for the fun of it not because it's the reality or truth, that's why several times he's been caught lying.

Your candidacy trends because people think you have developmental ideas which you yourself have been giving speeches all around trying to display how creative you are.
Your vp should focus on your default which is.
1, unifying
2, security
3, politics.

These three aspect are not there for you and should be your target.

Abuja jail break is FG sponsored to swap BH prisoners with kidnapped train victims. They will all be released in coming days/ or weeks.

How is it possible that ISWAP operated for 3 hours without intervention of our security forces.
think what you want, speculate what you want but fact is, your just speculating and you don't have first hand information on what happened. Which means you could be right but still wrong.
PoliticsRe: Why Did We Applaud Jailbreak In SE And Condemn Kuje's Jailbreak? by jumper524(m): 6:30am On Jul 07, 2022
Allow people to be sentimental about their acts.
I condemn the jail break in Abuja kuje cos it's my home town and I condem in totality the act.
This is extreme failure from the hands of president Buhari if uptil today those responsible for the train attack in Abuja kaduna are yet to be brought to book then it shows the president is not just a failure but a greedy animal who despite acknowledged the fact that he failed has refused to hand over to people more competent.
It would surely get to him and it's a fact.
Retirement is closer than he can think of.

Fund your military
Ask questions on why no results.
Reshuffle your cabinet if the error persist

You ain't doing neither of this.
I'm in kuje and the biggest prison in kuje was attacked by bokoharam, yet the tension in kuje is less. Only twice I saw helicopter patrol.

AlexBells:
That's becuase we led a war, and the coup was made to seem as if it were Igbo coup, Kaduna Nzeogwu still strike fear in the mind of an average Northerner, same as Ojukwu in the mind of an average Southerner, Zik worked with Bello and then media controlled by Yorubas made it seem as it was all Igbo agenda,

Remember that The Niger Delta revolt was quelled by Ojukwu which strained the relationship between the Igbos and Niger Delta tribes, remember that one of the agitation of Adaka borro was that the capital of the East was in Enugu abd that the refinery was built in PH an Igbo area, now tell us the truth, even apart from the fact that the capital of the East was moved from Calabar to Enugu is it just for the Igbos wgich is a veto in Nigeria to have a capital in Calabar.

Is it better to build the Refinery in Bayelsa when PH was more accessible to the Majority Igbos as it served as the shipment place for the Enugu coal since 1912, okay we had a bit of issues again with South South when Zik came back from the West after the Yorubas played a tribal politics that denied NCNC majority in the west, when Zik got back there was a minority as the premier of the East, would it be just for him to remain there when the Igbo would have the popular vote given a free and fair election and why would Zik stay in the west as minority leader when he was the most qualified in the East.

Some of the things that caused these mistrust have been fixed thanks to Zik's exploits, the Ijaws and every other minority in the East have their own states, especially Bayelsa for the Ijaws, I don't think there is any Igbo who would lead a coup so that distrust have been fixed, a country can exist for even a thousand years and the worse part is the more they try to blackmail the Igbos, the more the country fails and the Igbo man keeps succeeding everywhere, the question then is, why not give the Igbo man a chance, eventually it would happen because every distinct change in Nigeria was led by an Igbo man
Nnamdi kanu didn't help the relationship with current northern youths. An average northern youth is compelled not to support an igbo man politically. As a child I had nothing wrong with an igbo presidency even though they made us believe that the Naira means never allow igbo rule again. That mantra was dieng with our generation. But all thanks to kanu who keeps calling us zoo and his massive Eastern supporters who took sides with him because they lost the 2015 elections.
Those insults, degratory words and religious incitement by kanu and his supporters would continue to ring in our ear, the closest they can get is through an ikwere man like amaechi who distanced himself from those words but the rest would have to wait for time to heal those wonds in the heart of an average northernern.
PoliticsRe: I'm Concerned That Our Yoruba Friends Are The Only Ones Not Keying In To Obi by jumper524(m): 9:27am On Jul 03, 2022
AlexBells:
The Igbo is the most acceptable tribe in Nigeria not just in the south, you won't tell me that the Hausas are more acceptable than the Igbos, you wont tell me that Yorubas are more acceptable than the Igbos in the Middle belt, you mistake Yorubas competition with Igbos as non acceptance, the majority of the tribes in the North are in Middle belt and even in Middle belt Igbos are more acceptable,

The core North is mostly Hausa/Fulanis which they are a veto so between Hausa/Fulani and Igbo, middle belt would chose Igbo and between Yoruna and Igbo south south would chose Igbo, did you ever wonder why Zik was so popular?.

The fact is that we as Igbo was in a political recovery phase and those who led Nigeria during our downtime were failures so the rest of minorities would more rally around Igbo than rally around Hausa/Fulani or Yorubas
in school/university politics, a northernern prefers to liase with an igbo man which is true, same with friends, business partners and employee everybody tends to prefer the igbo man but when it comes to international politics, my brother people don't want to liase with your people and it's plain truth.

I don't know nor care to investigate Obis achievements. Unlike you Tinubu supporters my business isn't to bring him or anyone down . Though I respect him as an opponent only.

Truth is Atiku is the best Nigeria needs now z and Obi a close second. Tinubu is not an option and I won't wish my enemy to live in a country ruled by someone as vindictive as Tinubu.

Did you watch the profiling Arise TV did on all candidates prior to the primaries?

They write in the cons that Tinubu Is perceived as a vengeful politician.

Lmao. Y’all are trying so hard to demarket Obi. Awards and Honours are not the same thing as achievements. Ask your self why someone would receive awards if they haven’t achieved anything. Because someone wrote Kwankwaso’s achievements on his Wikipedia page and didn’t write for Obi doesn’t mean Obi didn’t achieve anything.
oga make i see Peter Obi achievements so I can compare too plsss.
About awards, is yahaya bellow now much better than Kwankwaso too? Cos yahaya Bello has won every youth and newspaper award you can think off compared to Peter Obi.
Post pictures of Peter Obi while I post that of Kwankwaso then we can compare who's better and who should deputize who.
PoliticsRe: Peter Obi Wikipedia Page Vs Kwakwaso Wikipedia Page by jumper524(op): 9:08am On Jul 03, 2022
Kingozymandias:
While I don't support either of them I think Atiku will be the best option to rule Nigeria, let me say this.

Wikipedia winwritten by people like you. I can go to Kwakwanso page now and delete all these things you wrote there on Wikipedia about him and replace them with jargon. This is how Wikipedia works. So the fact Obi didn't go the edit or have people write long epistles about him says alot.

I respect Obi as an opponent, I don't respect Kwakwanso.

I am more frightened about facing Obi in the polls than Kwakwanso. Kwakwanso has never delivered once in elections despite his popularity. You need to understand that being popular is different from people trusting you to rule them.

Davido is popular as a musician but he won't win any elections trust me. During his campaign the place wouod be filled only because he davido is very popular.

That's all
with the hype around Peter Obi and the every chance of his supporters to hype him as a leader, bro be honest, if those Wikipedia pages achievements were swapped, would you still say this?
Those stories on Kwankwaso can be verified same with Peter Obi..
Please post his outstanding developmental track records let's see if we can get half of what kano has.
Both cities are commercial cities, kano has lager population and bigger landmass yet could still pull these level of achievement where's Peter Obi anambra achievement that so astonishing for Kwankwaso to play vice to him?

I don't know how people elect their leaders oo but I'll rather work with people who has feasible achievments than those who have awards.
We all know awards can be bough or given based on influence.
Even yahaya Bello has numerous awards but in terms of solving problems and feasible developments, I'll go with who has something to show for it.

Personally, both the OP and yourself are saying the same thing in different terms.

I have seen Yorubas supporting the Obi movement and frankly speaking, the very first person that tried to analyze an Obi or Tinubu presidency in Nigeria and what the outcome would be is a Yoruba whom I respect his views on economy.

Your perception of award as once best governors in Nigeria won't be a yardstick for judgement because of the 4 governors you mentioned, Rochas couldn't have made that list if you were in Imo as at when he was a governor. The basis for such award is best known to them.

Kwankwanso has good leadership qualities and I respect him for that.

Fash believes in structure and development and it earned him whom he is.

Amaechi was an average performing governor owing to the resources Rivers state has and the development he brought.

You won't see key movement in the North for Obi compared to Tinubu for a variety of reasons and one of such is financial sponsor (remember there's also movements in London and USA for same Tinubu).

I think the major problem we have as a people in this country is that we have been so attached to our ethnicity and religious beliefs that we tend to sacrifice good governance.

Personally, I wouldn't mind a Kwankwanso, a Fashola or an Obi as a president provided they have something to offer.
you spoke well.
Rochas at a time was rated the best governor during his first tenure, I know things went sideways during his second. If Rochas first tenure wasn't good, he wouldn't have won under APC during his second tenure.
The case of my support for Tinubu ahead of Obi is one, level of acceptability.
Once a leader is not acceptable, it would take more than a miracle for his achievements to be seen or heard. Besides the opposition would way him down as at the case of Buhari to South East Nigeria.
Other regions are looking for fg to come in and prosecute their corrupt leaders the southeast are accusing Buhari of selective trials.
I'm from the north and please forgive me if I'm being selfish I don't see a Peter Obi presidency solving the insecurity issue in the North. I don't think he's segacious and courageous enough to tackle those northern bigwigs who sponsors to terrorist.
Even if he tries to, he would have to go through the legal way of prosecuting them which we both know is near impossible.
If he goes the illegal way, Hes govt would be largely criticised by northerners, besides hes level of acceptability in the North is very low.
Human rights would become more vocal as is the case of Buhari in the southeast. In the end northerners loose.
Some evil northern politicians might go ahead to liase with those bandits to increase killings so as to tarnish the Peter Obi image.
The senate would frustrate him which we both know cos his party is not just minority but minorest minority in the chamber.
Truth is no matter how genuine a Peter Obi presidency is hell need a miracle to function.
I'm not banking on miracle.
If you follow my post, you'll know I've always been a fan of amaechi cos amongst the influential politicians he's the only one accepted nationwide coupled with the fact that he has good records as governor and as minister. But with him out of the picture, Tinubu is more acceptable except for Southeast.
