rvp2018: Still waiting for evidence that EGH, Volta and Northern one have anything close to even 3 million customers - and you can see your electricity access is BS.
read this again
You can't beat our electricity consumption and production or even our access so it must be BS..
Your logic is crazy as F
10.8 million properties ..... This is like 3 times the number of properties in your country..
Wonder no more why Ghana consumes more than twice of Kenya electricity consumption..
Anyway, when will your country starts numbering properties, so it will know the number of properties in Kenya?
Ghana has 2.2 million new homes under construction, can Kenya compete? This is more than Kenya will build in 10 years.
My govt does not even need to invest in housing, except for a few social housing... My private sector is highly resourceful
GeneralDae: Ghana has resources such as gold. I believe they have more resources than Tanzania so it is not far fetched to believe they have a higher GDP or output than Tanzania. Probably Tanzania is less corrupt than Ghana and many African countries.
Facts states that Tanzania and Kenya are highly corrupt than Ghana
I've never seen a man who has been beaten so badly and still brags about it. What kind of picture test are you talking about, dude? I was about to advise Kazikazi to quit this comparison contest , but instead I'll just encourage him because of you. Accept the facts, dude.East Africans have fantastic cities and infrastructure, and are proud of it. You folks have something...I'm not sure what it is, but it's something to be proud of.
I've never seen a kid so beaten by facts such that he had to run to picture test to debate preference...
Even in that too you lost ...
How come East Africa rakes lower with Central Africa in infrastructure? It's not just magic that those are the two most poorest regions of Africa.
Ghana alone even consumes and generate more electricity than both Tanzania, Kenya and Ethiopia combine.. How do you want to compete with that ?
Combine the tarred roads network of both Tanzania and Kenya, it still won't reach that of Ghana..
That is why West Africa is more developed than East Africa
rvp2018: What are you rambling about. Just provide evidence that your electricity companies have 8.3M - customers - or about - or even better 10M is great - because you would have connected all business (though I see they mostly umbrellas flea market), schools and such.
You fail the picture test already and this unneccessary drama will not make Ghana look any better
you must think everywhere is like Kenyan with flea markets everywhere...
We beat your entire East Africa in the picture test ...
We got to learn a few things about your various countries ... Like the fact that you guys are very poor and can't afford proper homes hence the slum apartment in few areas and the massive slums. We also learnt that you guys don't have preper infrastructure for your massive populations.
1.5 meters cannot service 10.8 million homes kiddo
8.3 million households and 10.8 million homes here.... You should be asking yourself how your country Kenya with almost 60 million people have just 9 million households with just 6 million homes.
I told you, when you cook data, you will be exposed because it wouldn't add up
rvp2018: Infact according to USAID - ECG has merely 1.8M customers. This laughable compared to kenya power with 8m customers.
Established in 1963, ECG supplies electricity to six regions in southern Ghana(link is external). The utility serves over 1.8 million customers and employs over 6,000 people, of which 25 percent are women. Recognizing that diverse teams build better businesses, ECG is partnering with USAID to increase gender equality across the company and encourage more women to enter Ghana’s energy sector.
the customer base of Accra alone is 2.5 million unique customers
rvp2018: South Africa doesnt even have 18 million meters. Ghana total household is 8.3m - total structures 9.5m. ECG customers are about 3M. Total if we include Northern one is less than 4m.
I guess you went to south Africa to count their meters?
So now youve finally learnt that household does not mean houses but families
Dumb kid
ECG has 6 million unique customers ... You can own 10 houses and you will still be 1 customer.
Chew on this Currently as we speak... There are 2.2 million homes under construction in Ghana
rvp2018: IMF do not collect any data. Development should be visible with naked eyes. It cannot be hidden in figures. Figures and data are suppose to explain what the naked eye can see. You can tell when economy is doing great....without being an economist.
Ghana engages in cooking data - as part of it's democratic experiment - it appears every gov comes in cook data - looks good - and exit. Meanwhile Ghana continues to look like a cattle kraal.
I have examined electricity access and water acess - and I found it way below what is stated. The reason is simple. You can ask all your electricity companies to provide you with list of their customers. If it doesnt equal to about 8m - that is 100 percent of Ghana household - based on census of 32 million divided 4 people per household...then you got a problem.
And what is the problem - cooking of data - electricity access in kenya is defined as someone having electricity right in their house - in Ghana it's a community - if you live near electricity pole - you're said to have access - because theoritically you can apply and pay for it - but you havent.
Typical tantrums from a Lunatic
When you can't beat a country like Ghana in any infrastructure, all you claim is data cooking meanwhile it's not even possible to cook data in Ghana unlike communist countries in East Africa.
Electricity access in Ghana is defined as someone having electricity electricity by being directly connected to the grid and that is why ECG has sold over 18 million electricity meters and there are 10.8 million homes in Ghana.
Kazikazi: Surely,no one have managed to hide a nation's wealth. It's far easy to cheat on stats, since most of African gov are corrupted. No one can be rich and owns nothing. Accra can't be richer than Dar while it has nothing literally.
If Accra wasn't richer than both Nairobi and Dar combined .... You will have Accra residents living in cheap filthy apartments and slums like in both of your countries.. but because it is, 90% of Accra residents live in their own self own homes...
That is a proper middle class .... Not your poverty nations Keep your poor country out of the mentions kiddo.....
GeneralDae: Good, but your man should have shown those better developed cities as a retort and not the stuff he posted. You don't see the East Africans posting their shanties here even though they probably have more of it than West Africa.
GeneralDae: Ouch mehn. We West Africans have to improve on our infrastructure and the look of our cities. Dayum, warrisdis? You should have just posted Accra.
West African cities are better developed infrastructurally than any city in East Africa. So I don't know what you are talking about
Accra and almost all West African cities looks like some interior villages in northern Kenya.
Just watch the video below and see how the guy is amazed by small stuff like apartments in Zimmerman estate and mere pavements that we ignore here to an extent of talking in tongues cursing their political leaders .... .and the comments there tell you more about their cities.
They even have very lame excuses that Kenya is developed because is colder than Ghana...that even Europe is developed because of the same reason
If your country is sprawling with slums, ours ain't.
Accra is built up all the way to it extreme ends and any of those extreme end communities of Accra will hand down beat the best of Kenya in development and planning because every part of those communities are filled with beautiful properties.
These places in this poor quality video (Weija, Bortianor, Broadcasting, SCC, Tuba, Kasoa) are far better developed and with proper housing than 90% of places in Kenya like Kitegela, Thika areas, *Githuru, *Ruiru, *Kahawa, *Makongeni, *Zimmerman, *Ongata and the rest.
GeneralDae: I agree with you but custom is primarily influenced by religion. Religion for instance made the Egyptians bury their kings the way they did due to the belief in life after death. It made the ancient jews conduct burials the way they did. Religion have influenced the dressing of many societies. Custom comes first but it is always influenced by the religion of the people. Customs do not exist in a vacuum, religion gives them their life wire in most cases.
How can religion have an influence on something that developed before religion itself could exist?
Kazikazi: Some TZ,and even Caucasian use wigs sometimes. But when u see a poor African nation use a huge amount of cash for wigs, that tell us how much these women are unsatisfied with their hair. This shows what these women believe what a beautiful women hairs should look like
So, Caucasians who use wigs are unsatisfied with their hair?
People get tired of looking the same and wigs change that.
GeneralDae: This is irrelevant to my point. Also read my edited post and tell me what you think.
You have still not made a relevant point because you still dont know what custom are and what religion is. For instance, customs determined how Egyptain kings were buried, and how their kings were chosen.. Customs determined their dressing and the food they ate..... customs is what determined what their religion was as they looked around them to determine what was there and what wasnt.
