Gichwawa254: he is mad n illiterate that just30 dude I think any Ghanian who knows him personally i n this forum should intervene by taking him to a mental institution ,he just talks crap no fact checking ,no proof reading, repeating what someone says n argues non stop with no evidence ,try asking him a question n see how he responds truly a disgrace to the Nkurumah descendants
Tantrums from a slum dweller
You really need to try harder to redeem your country image kiddo... And you need to do it with facts.
Next time you want to quote me, don't make emotions take the best of it.
Gichwawa254: makes sense I have watched Accra videos that place is not a city to be honest no proper urban planning no skyscrapers ,no proper pavements n sidewalks, no cbd just a mishmash of buildings n roadside containers(kiosks) ,Nana addo should to something earlier otherwise the chaos will led to anarchy like Gotham city
did someone just talked about pavement when Ghanaian roads have more pavement on them than you will find on Kenyan roads.. This sounds funny It's only in Kenya that you guys celebrate pavement, here in Ghana, it is nothing because almost all roads have them here.
My CBD cover an area 3times the size of your CBD... Keep making a joke of your country.
Mkenya2019: Kenya is nearing 2B dollars of food imports - most of it from our EAC - Uganda and Tanzania - mostly maize, beans and such. Roughly each export about 600M of food - to kenya - with balance of about 0.5B dollars from shipped in. Ethiopia is starting to also export food to Kenya.
We import about 0.5M tonnes of rice mostly from Pakistani. We also import some wheat from Europe/North America. Few oranges/apples from South Africa/Egypt. End of story.
But remember we export food worth 3-4b dollars.
which food do you export that is worth 3 billion?
Your entire export is less than 6 billion.. Raw tea leaf, raw coffee beans, flowers and minerals make up 90% of it.
popizaino: If you were really bettering the lives of Ghanaians like you always shove down own throats, this people will not be demanding for public toilets up and down when they can actually build it on their own, such that your presidential aspirant won't deem it fit to include it into their campaign manifestor
so the people in Japan and all of Europe are demanding for public toilets and that is why they build it?
Your arguments will always sound infantile
So the Japanese are not rich and that is why they wait for their govt to build public toilets around their country?
I wait for the day you will make a sensible argument or rebuttal as an excuse for why Kenya is infrastructurally undeveloped...
popizaino: What are this facts you're ranting about? Will you even recognise this facts even if it hit you on your face? I have seen a lot to take your stats with a pinch of salt. Suhum that is barely 6ghc from me still has students swimming across the streams to go to school in this 2021, :I now my question is,if this still prevalent here in the south of Ghana which is seen as more developed how much can this be in the north of the country with less development? If you were so developed infrastructurally like you always want to shove down on our throats, your government won't be using providing public toilets for Presidential campaign in 2016. So pls miss with your stats that doesn't really happen on ground. Nairobi, Kenya is far ahead of Accra, Ghana and none of your rant will change this .
I guess you don't know that it is important to provide public toilets ... Let me educated you since you've not travelled wide and far... Public toilets are important for Japanese and European cities and there are many of them... Why not Ghana?
Which suhum students swim in what stream to get to school? Why do you like telling lies ?
I will let you start listing those facts that you think Kenya will even match Ghana in.
popizaino: Accra Ghana's capital is a mess and stop crying on my mention. In fact the whole of Ghana is a complete mess if you like rant, it won't change anything.
will facts support your claim ? Or you just like typing for noise making purposes ?
West African cities (except Abidjan and Dakar) did not get the kind of development these East African countries got in the 90's ( kind courtesy the colonial masters) yet still cities like Accra and Lagos have seen massive transformations since the mid 2000 and are better than any East African city (my respect to Addis).
How do you boast over a city which was built by whites and still owned/run by foreigners?
How do you even compare your cities with Accra or say Lagos? these 2 cities were developed solely by blacks/ indigens not foreigners?
actually , their cities were not really developed .... The Europeans only developed small portions for themselves and exclusive to them. And the rest rot from one slum to another.. And this has remain so to this day.
popizaino: You will never run out of excuses as far as the sun keeps rising from the east to set in the west. Look everywhere in Accra and there is an uncompleted building taking forever to complete. In fact I once described the features of a typical Ghanaaian street to be, a container, kiosk, an uncompleted building, sign posts then viola you have a CBD . The organized chaos you called street is the worse than cities with 22m inhabitants. If I am lieing post any video from any part of Ghana without this features .
When I look all over Accra, all I see is more and more buildings under construction (gentrification everywhere) with workers on site than the entire Kenya has, under construction currently...
That is what a booming economy does.
There are as many videos I've posted without any of those features ... Need I repeat them for you?
You will need to make lots of excuses for Kenya to meet Ghana's might ... Try harder
popizaino: Among all the countries on this thread, maybe you have Tanzania to compete with in remain real estate. Kenya is way above your league, you will die if you accept that .
In real estate, Kenya plays second fiddle to Ghana....
Even our projects under construction is almost the total number of properties in their country , how do you expect them to compete?
Or need I remind you that our retail sector sales is almost 3 times theirs ?
Tz and Kenya can rub shoulders with their fellow undeveloped countries in East Africa .... It will take them years to compete with Ghana especially when it's going to take them 20 years to put up the number of properties under construction in Ghana.
I can tell you for free it's the same here too, Lebanes, indians,Chinese dominate the manufacturing sector yet too so don't let anybody play the race card on Kenya as if his country is any better.
Lebanese in manufacturing sector? You must be joking
The only sector of manufacturing that the indians dominate is the iron and metals recycling sector. Apart from that, Ghanaians dominate everywhere...
popizaino: I'm not here to talk much with you cus you always have every word to defend your excuses. Now watch the video below and see this highrise that has remain stalled forever and tell me if it's under construction or failed project. Two different YouTube bloggers captured it at different time with no sign of continuity yet I should believe your rants and forget about the realities on ground? I can show you thousands of others like that within Accra alone talk more of Kumasi but it makes no difference with you because you will still come and obfuscate things and still claim facts.
This building has failed two safety tests and that is why it has remained so ... It's been marked for demolition for safety reasons. It can't continue unless a sea defense is built in the area
There is another one in Airport City which has been locked up in court battle for years, apart from those two show me what you mean by stalled projects....
That is a far cry from 2.2 million properties under construction
You will need to give a lot of excuses for Nairobi to catch up with that. Keep trying
I don't have to especially when we built an area as huge as East Legon Hills in less than 5 years.
That area alone is larger than 1/4th of Nairobi built up size.
Infact even the number of properties under construction in Ghana currently is almost the number of properties build in your country since the Europeans first landed in your country till date.
popizaino: The bolded is very funny and I can tell you your former Boss wasn't wrong at all. . And In terms of electricity I can tell you they've done absolutely well, nearly every villages and towns have been connected to the National grid, evident of this is seen mostly at night when driving through the country side but pls don't believe any other infrastructural BS coming from them again. I'm in the country and I know the reality on ground.
whether you believe facts or not ... They will remain facts...
And Ghana will keep being more developed than Kenya until they can raise their people out of poverty for them to compete.
As for buildings under construction... 2.2 million units, it will take Kenya 10 plus years to even build about half of it.
Untill they can meet these facts, they will remain uncompetitive in the face of Ghana..
Mkenya2019: Mad cow. Ghanians indeed. You fail the picture test We examine the data you fail. How can Ghana have more meters than South Africa - what are you connecting - cane rats hovels?
Ghana does not have more meters than SA
Lunatic
You lost the pic test and lost the facts and infrastructure test ... So here you are arguing for arguing sake....
Mkenya2019: Again still waiting for customers or meters of EGH, Volta and Northern. Housing - incomplete houses = new houses. They are not equal. My former boss - worked in Ghana - he was ex-peace corps - he told me the first thing USAID did was to take them round Ghana. It was full of incomplete buildings. I have checked Accra few google maps - everywhere is full of half complete buildings. I think we know the problem - BOOM and BUST from mineral economy This is what you dont see in Kenya - because ours is sustainable growth no based on minerals booms and burst cycles. Ghana oscillate from growing at 10 percent - then next going bankrupt under IMF.
Now stop shouting about abandoned half done buildings all over Ghana - and concentrate on getting us number of metered and even unmetered customers of your electricity meters.
For reference RSA has 17.5m. Kenya has 8M.
seems you are making new excuses for why your country remain undeveloped...
The uncompleted buildings are the new homes that amount to 2.2 million in quantity.
To be able to have that number of new homes under construction should tell you about a huge economic boom and huge middle class.
Our growth is based on real economic indications that are sustainable...
New buildings are not abandon buildings kiddo .... and 10.8 million homes ain't abandon buildings kiddo
Good you know that you can't compete with that hence the tantrums..
ECG has 17 million meters sold and there are 10.8 million properties... Now compete with that..
