rvp2018: Let me help. This my hometown Kericho- water and sewage system - a town of less than 30K people. That the sewage systems - and water treatment under construction. My campus roomate was the CEO of it - KEWASCO - but now is County Minister in next county.
Now how can the little thing you have in that video manage 6m people waste water when it look smaller than 30K town system!
Do you know how much wastewater 6m people generate - Nairobi with 4m - generate nearly 100k cubic meters liters of waste water daily (from consumption of 700k cubic litres) - that require a man-made lake to deal with it - there is no technology that can treat wastewater so fast - as it released - what is it using ?
That is why Nairobi city has 4,000 acres of land reserved for treating waste water - in Ruai alone - and many more in other areas. The water is treated and released to the rivers after it is certified as safe.
What you have in Ghana is BABY STEPS - I guess you never had any - like we know it used to cover Accra CBD - but it's broken down - now you dump waste water directly to the underground - and then drill it back as borehole water. No wonder the many diseases.
The average person in Kumasi generate 0.74kg of effluent a day. This measure up to 4500 cubic meters of effluent generated in a day..
The plant treats 1000m3 daily which is more than what the Region 6million inhabitants release daily for treatment.
And like i told you, with the latest technologies You don't need a huge land to put up the largest wastewater treatment plant.. Just a 10 to 20 acres will do.
It handles wastewater for an entire region of 6 million people.
Sorry kiddo, all electronic waste are now sorted out and sent to a separate electronic waste portion of the facility....
Next excuse for why Kenya does not have these kinds of facilities to process it electronic waste, medical waste, solid and liquid waste....
How long is kenya going to be in the planning pipeline that is clogged?
rvp2018: I did watch. Like I said - the solid waste part is good. The wastewater looks like a plant for a really small town. You really need proper sewage system.
As for organic fertilizer - from urban waste in Ghana - with well-known electronic waste dumped worldwide there - nay -you may end up messing with your nascent export agriculture -
Besides all the cancers from the carcinogenic waste there.
If you were using to generate power like Ethiopia is doing and kenya is planning to do - yes that would make more sense.
rvp2018: How does Solid Waste become a waste water treatment. You need proper modern sewage system - right from every household - piped to that waste water plant.
But you're making good progress in Solid Waste.
I am not sure about organic fertilizers with all the heavy metals there. It probably better to generate thermal electricity with it.
Typical Kenyan
As usual, you will type nonsense
Watch the first video, that's the solid waste portion....
The third video is the wastewater treatment section... And it has the capacity to handle the entire region wastewater
The solid waste section already has a waste to energy plant....
what has metals got to do with organic fertilizer which has been processed and all the metal element removed except the important ones??
All regions in Ghana have a similar facility like this...
theenchanter: unfortunately, u're the old man with a kid's mind here if u don't know the difference between "revenue" and "tax-to-gdp".... And there's nothing called "revenue gdp" as called by ur tin god.
obaaderemi: So, it's just projection. So why did you say *it's now more than 100bn*? Your economy is then lower than 100bn. You can only overtake Morocco with your overcooked dodgy figures.
rvp2018: Nonsense 1) Kenya GDP to debt - is 65% - Ghana is now approaching 80%. Kenya is preparing to rebase it gdp next year and the ratio will come down. 2) Kenya debt to revenue - servicing ratio - about 40%. 3) Kenya total revenues - are now 21B dollars- ordinary taxes alone approaching 17b. Total debt repayment about 800B kshs per annum.
As for Ghana - you're IMF poster child - and permanent member of Heavily Indebted Poor Countries.
you are even afraid to admit facts
Something that is there and reported by Bloomberg for everyone to see..you are really disgustingly stupid
Anyway, Ghana debt to GDP has dropped back below 60% because of stronger than expected economic performance last year...
Ghana total debt stock is less than 46 billion while GDP is between 82 and 85 billion dollars....without a review yet.
rvp2018: Check latest gdp to debt ratio; debt to revenue ratio; etc. Kenya macro-economics despite covid are strong; Kenya took advantage of G20 debt relief - that Ghana was first to run to - and asked for debt to be rescheduled. Initially for six months - and we have asked for another six months. Poor China caused covid and have no option. Ghana obviously is so poor it been part of HIPC - as long as it has existed. You cannot tell us nothing about debt or prudent financial mgt
You're a heavily indebted country that is choking with debt and is essentially bankrupt - because face it - using 70 percent of your revenue to service debt is bankruptcy.
Ghana cant be poor when it has a higher GNI per capital than Kenya
Kenya is definitely poor hence it lover GNI per capital and that is why Kenya cant afford to pay debt owed China...
We all know that the monies owe China are collateralized loans and failure to pay will lead to seizure of Kenya.. Even though Ghana qualify for the G20 debt relief, it decided not to take it..... We negotiated that relief for poor countries like Kenya
We can tell kenya everything about debt because we played active role in structuring the current debt market...
Ghana debt servicing to revenue is 45% while while Kenya debt servicing is at 66%
rvp2018: How many kenya students are in Ghana? I think we only know of one who came for a 3 months study - where he had to choose btw west africa backwaters - and indeed Ghana does look better in the forsaken region.
As many as 200 plus
And they all leave the terrible uncompetitive east African standard for better ones in Ghana and other West African countries
rvp2018: 1) Kenya debt to servicing ration or any such macro-economic ratio is way better than Ghana. 2) 10 B chinese debt in one year? Where did you get that. The entire Chinese debt stock in kenya was $6.7 billion as of Sept 2020. Of that 6.7B - 5.5B was borrowed for Mombasa-Nairobi-Naivasha SGR line - in 2014/2016 The rest of about 1.2B invested in small projects here and there.
3) Kenya macro-economics can never be compared to Ghana.
As always I know I am speaking with a goat; you won't understand half of what I wrote.
who removed this dog out of his leash?
he's back to lying out of his lunatic empty skull
Ghana has managed to repay all it Chinese debt and kenya cant even pay what it owe..... now tell me who has a better macro economics?
I told you a year or 2 ago that China will stop giving your country loans because you guys are too dumb to invest the money into productive ventures that will make profit...
rvp2018: Yes GNI - and that probably the only sensible thing you said; GNI/GDP; not major difference really in terms of figures; say GNI per capita and GDP (PPP) per capita. As for Eq Guinea - it has similar problems is Ghana - it has poor HCI - most people are like you - poor, ignorant and sick.
so far, you've said nothing sensible
you are just jumping from one place to the other...
GNI and GDP are not the same so why would there not be major difference?
Your country is just as bad as Zambia sick to the core
rvp2018: You 're more indebted than Kenya despite all the minerals. Last I checked your debt to GDP was 75% or more...the debt to revenue ratio was something crazy like 50-60%. Kenya has is probably at 65% or less debt to GDP....and service ratio still below 40%... You cannot repay china - when you've mortagaged cocoa, bauxite, gold, name it to them.
debt to gdp is nothing compare to debt to revenue which indicate your ability to pay....
There is nothing like mortgage of resources, there is just you and your ability to pay.
Anyway, how did your country acquire 10 billion Chinese debt in just a year?
For 9 years, Ghana only acquire 5 billion of which all have been paid..
rvp2018: Human Development include wealth of nation - and natural resources are important. As for human capital index - strictly looking at HCI - kenya has best in Africa HDI - UNDP index - consider HCI plus wealth and other indicators - marries HCI and GDP essentially HCI - WB index - consider health and education - strongly looking at human resources.
Kenya HCI score is 0.55 - the top in Africa Ghana HCI score is 0.45 - 10 percent difference
If natural resources is important, why is Equatorial Guinea not above kenya? Your dumb self is confusing GNI and GDP (they are not the same)
IF kenya is best in mobilizing human capita, explain why so many kenyans are so poor
rvp2018: Mad cow, index is 0-1; if you turn it into percentage; it simply mean Ghana at 61.1% and Kenya at 60.1% - that is as minimal as the difference can get - despite gazillion of minerals in your country. You should be very ashamed.
Mineral-rich countries with brains - like South Africa, Botswana and Nambia - are 70-80% - now there is a big difference there
Then we have Mauritius at 80% - as it races to become 1st Africa country to become a developed country,
Lunatic
what is the difference between 1 and 0? what is the difference between 0.11 and 0.1?
rvp2018: This kenya girl breaks Ghana down - they are illiterates like we have seen here in this forum. Very insightful video. The girl says...even having basic conversation is so difficult...and I can say their written communication as seen here is equally shocking. Kenya education obviously best in Africa. Ghana - brain drain - everyone cannot wait to leave.
On the infrastructure - Ghana cannot compete please, you just can't
You so badly want to compete with Ghana but it it working because your country is not yet at our level.
The level of infrastructure construction ongoing in all sectors cannot be matched by kenya.....
You dumb kenyans usually get overly excited about small things in your country and you call them massive because stuffs like that hardly happens in kenya...
rvp2018: China caused COVID that has damaged the global economy - and we are not going to pay until economy is back on track. We asked them for further six month debt moratorium. There is nothing they can do except cut new loans.
Ghana should do the same. China has to bear some responsibility - at very least - reschedule their debt.
Sorry, Ghana has successfully paid all debt owe China ....
PetroDolla2020: oh dear oh dear. the chinese are about to repossess their tiny impoverished africa shittty colony for not repaying their debts edi0ts like you will be farm labourers to grow tea for china poor kenya
rvp2018: Kantanka of course is rebadged - chinese crap - the same with Innoson. But madman like to argue like a madman does. Make biycles - modern bicycles - that the developed world are now buying - as they go green.
The fact that kenya is importing Asian crops does not mean everyone is. .
You will always be a Lunatic cause you dont know that automakers outsource some parts of manufacturing.
Yes we make modern bicycles that are exported in the At then tens of thousands...
