rvp2018: You think it's Ghana coffin. The 14 seater cost your 7-10K USD. The minibuses you start talking 20-30k usd or more. These matatus some of them have TV in every seats; sound system alone can cost your 5K USD; the lighting; some have even PS5 games on board;
So you want to compare your ugly paint work metal boxes on your road to Mercedes Sprinter buses on Ghana roads?
rvp2018: Lol Matatus are mostly bought brand new. This not Ghana or Nigeria dafno. Nobody will invest in pimping Matatu - cost upto 30K usd - on old rickety body.
14 seaters are ex-japan - no longer licensed in Nairobi - and that is old one you can see - because they are not licesned - otherwise people would buy new ones.
The mini buses are brand new. They do crazy trips per day! They cannot waste a minute in garage broken down
rvp2018: While Ghana invest in macabre funerals with pimped out coffins; Kenya pimped out matatus stand out worldwide for it's creativity; they have everything young commutter would need; and they burst traffic jams
rvp2018: The resident madman...kenya budget was in Ghana level 10yrs ago! For example - 2012, Kenya set a budget of US$14.59B with a government revenue of .
Nonsense
This is from your treasury
Your 2020 - 2021 budget
The revenue target is 15 billion dollars, 7 months into the financial year and your country raised only 7 billion dollars
rvp2018: Total revenue including grants - is not equivalent to taxes. Kenya collect about 16B dollars in ordinary taxes alone (monthly KRA collect 1.5B dollars plus in PAYE,VAT and Customs) - and another 4B in AIA - so normally kenya has 20-21B dollars of revenues...that is why we can finance a 30B budget.
so you collected more revenue than your budget
You see how stupid you sound.
Your own treasury is listing your govt total revenue to be almost 14 billion for the financial year 2020 - 2021 and you are still here making noise.
rvp2018: Total revenues including grants. That include ordinary taxes, AIA, Oil and minning royalties including GRANTS. It all come to 9B dollars - and your budget is 15-16B dollars - meaning you have to borrow about 5-6B dollars.
Again, our mining royalties goes into special funds and are never added to total revenue and Grant's
Total revenue and Grant's refers to taxes collected by Ghana revenue authority.
All mining royalties goes into the royalty fund and all oil money goes into the petroleum funds.
Let us know kenya is able to collect 16 billion dollars in tax revenue.
Total revenues including grants in 2020 was 54B Ghana- that is 9.3B dollars. If you remove oil, mining and such - your revenues are probably the level of Rwanda (2B dollars)
rvp2018: Gold coast with oil, alumunium and bauxite isn't doing better than Kenya.
care to prove this claim by showing everyone here any part of development where kenya is doing better than Ghana?
I sincerely don't know why you Kenyan like o To lie like that. You guys have been making noise to the Nigerians that your budget is 30 billion dollars, since 2019.
Meanwhile, a quick check shows that Kenya 2020 - 2021 budget is 16.6 billion dollars.
Wuoche: Good luck with the dream. You could barely collect 10B dollars before the pandemic and now you want us to believe that you will collect 16B in the middle of the pandemic.
Revenue projection is not a dream kiddo
During the pandemic, almost 15 billion was collected. Pre pandemic, tax revenue alone was 13 billion dollars
