rvp20182: I know all that - but you have the incentive to cook data - because your president wants to escape IMF demons in an election year. How is CEDIS (currency) inflation fairing on? You cannot cook that one. if Ghana want to cook inflation, we will cap it but we are not dumb like you you have cooked inflation cooked population and cooked GDP what else wont you cooked. all the stats are exposing you |

rvp20182: The skyscrapers are not necessary for Europe - the economy grows by 1% and the population is even declining. The skyscrapers or highrise they build were "huge" during those times. Nobody loves Skyscrapper. There are necessity when land become expensive and there is lots of demand for office and residential spaces. They are a very economical use of space.
The only reason Ghana doesn't have skyscrapers is that either land is so cheap, less populated or there is a lack of office or residential spaces - but certainly NOT because there are zoning laws that would prevent one from building highrises.
Ghana cities are very populated. So it, not the population. It either land is so cheap or there is really no demand for modern offices or hotels or malls or residential apartments because the economy is tiny and informal. people already have modern offices so there is low demand for office space there is high demand for houses and not an apartment so Ghanaian cities are ever expanding |

Zoning is the reason why Hong Kong have a high density of skyscrapers despite a very large part of Hong Kong being a forest. Land prices are very high in Ghana |

NairobiWalker: The problem is someone who can barely solve 1+1 trying to put across a mathematical point.
Let me teach you some Mathematics. Birth rate = 28.7 Death rate = 5.7 Growth rate = BR-DR = 28.7 -5.7 = 23 people per 1000 per year Population in 2009 = 37.4M % growth rate = 2.3% Population in 2019 = 37.4 x 1.023^10 = 46.95
So who's the fool? Learn some Mathematics. there is something wrong with your head i guess you dont know what compounding is or you dont know this 2018 28.7 -1.87 % 2017 29.3 -2.16 % 2016 29.9 -2.43 % 2015 30.7 -2.65 % 2014 31.5 -2.75 % 2013 32.4 -2.75 % 2012 33.3 -2.67 % 2011 34.2 -2.50 % 2010 35.1 -2.26 % 2009 35.9 -2.01 % 2008 36.7 -1.75 % 2007 37.3 |

i once asked you ghanaians did UN conduct census in kenya
if your ghana govt fools you it is okay
the last time i checked kenya has a higher literacy rate than ghana UN does not need to conduct a census to know your population all they need is your birth rate and death rate barring any civil war, they can calculate your population to a 1% plus or minus accuracy |

where did you school and somebody has liked your post you are fools you are the fool here unless you are illiterate, there is no excuse to believe this lie so 10 years ago, the population of Kenya was 38 million people. Birth rate has hover around 5.7% for the largest part of the 10 years There was no civil war 10 the calculation and see whether your population will not almost be 60 million people 2.1 million people every year |

NairobiWalker: Apparently, from 37M to 47M is a decline. I wonder whether you guys are this dumb or you just play dumb to win arguments. you dont have to play your usual dumb In 2017, Kenya population was 49 million there was a birth rate of 28.7 per every 1000 people and a death rate of 5.7 per every 1000 people. so there is no way your population will decline to 47 million people Unless all the people who crossed the Mediterranian over the past 5 years were Kenyans and they left in just one year. |

rvp20182: GDP declining from 63B to 49B - happens only when GDP is over-cooked or a war ravages the country or huge disaster breaks out. Your chief stats are playing politics with numbers. Look at them playing with the inflation rate so it doesn't touch the redline of 10% - that would alert the IMF to start packing their bags for yet another rescue operation in ACCRA. But you cannot cook the CEDIS against the USD It happens when you fall into an energy crisis I know you have seen this before because 70% of Kenya does not have electricity Because you cook GDP figures in Kenya , you think everyone does A country that does not have a productive capacity hence 5 billion export is claiming 99 billion GDP when revenues are even shy of 10 billion dollars this must be the funniest thing ive come across |

rvp20182: Let me school you. Central Bank's job is to worry about what Inflation, Interest rate or etc mean to the economy Prof. Samuel Kobina Anim your Chief Statistician should not care about that. He should calculate inflation as it is. In this case - Inflation drops from 9.4% to 7.6% - not because prices of goods and services in Ghana are not increasing in prices monthly - but because he changed the base year to last year. That ordinarily won't be a problem but when you start re-basing 5yrs after another big re-base and start also changing inflation basket and series....then that is playing with Stats..like Yemi Kale does in Nigeria.
In short the reality in Ghana is inflation is NOT DROPPING..it has increased from 9% to 9.4% this year and if old series is used..it probably heading to double-digit --- and this just underlying inflation. Food inflation is at nearly 15% - how are you Ghanians able to survive...I mean those without families abroad who receive remittance. Ghanaians survive by simply earning more money Sometimes you dont have to lie “The Food and non-alcoholic beverages group recorded a year-on-year inflation rate of 8.5 per cent. |

NairobiWalker: Stop getting emotional. I have no problem with you redenominating your money, but you can't come and boast here how your money is more valuable than ours when you redenominated it. The most interesting thing is, immediately after redenomination, the Cedi exchange at Kshs. 75 per Cedi. Currently it is a mere Kshs. 18 per cedi. Within the next 10 years, the Kenya shilling will already be stronger than the Cedi. it is just fact kiddo that the cedi has more value than the kshs the cedi was highly overvalued in 2011 making Ghana exports very expensive |

NairobiWalker: Does the average Ghanaian live in such houses? Even in Kenya, we have upper Mid-class and rich people living in better houses but claiming the average Kenyan live here is stupid. except those are the rich people in Kenya houses the average Kenyan lives in flats or Kibera liked structure An average Ghanaian lives in 3 bedroom houses like these the rich in Ghana lives in Trasacco or trasacco like mansions in various places

rvp20182: I am glad you've opened your eyes to the Ghana big lie. You can imagine 11,000 cedis to a dollar. The currency had so many zeros. They had to re-dominated and tried to peg 1:1 on the dollar. Now it's heading to 6 a dollar. It like Kenya shs in 2007 was 70shs to a dollar..and now it's 420shs to a dollar.Next year it will drop to 600sh then 1000shs then 2000shs then soon again it will be 11,000 cedis to a dollar. Ghana's second name is HYPERINFLATION. the only currency that will have to deal with hyperinflation very soon is kenya your debt levels are unsustainable such that youre now recycling debt very soon you wont be able to borrow to support your currency |

NairobiWalker: You're an idiot boasting over a currency that was redenominated. Any country can redenominate their currency, otherwise, your currency was one of the weakest in the world. Interestingly, the Cede is already losing value fast. You might want to redenominate it again in the next 20 years. this is i guess your currency is better than all the currencies than have redenominated redenomination is mostly done to make accounting easy when you are strategising for growth . even with the lost of value of the cedi over the past 12 years, the Cedi is still valuable than you kshs A currency that the central government needs to borrow to keep stable at the expense of providing electricity and water |
