samorobo: Modern asf!!!! Nothing in Kenya gives me quater the chill of what I just watched in joburg. And that’s sad for a country that has less than 10 years to topple SA,I expect to get half that chill or at worst quater that chill but that ain’t the case.
I am not surprised shma and gallivant has avoided this video like a plague.
Check out this video,it’s just drop 22 hours ago. Now juxtapose joburg and this rubbish.
obaaderemi: There are days when i just ignore them completely. We've told them the same thing repeatedly but these are specimens that are deaf and shameless. Average things excite them to no ends.
It's not their fault
They are not used to seeing much development in their country so even small thing excite them.
Bloodofthelambo: slow down a little, observe that interchange, only South Africa has something close to that, yet you'd never see a Ghanaian posting it 20 times a day as national achievement.
When we tell you, Kenyans celebrate every little thing, you get over defensive.
Compare this interchange in Ghana to that 'elevated expressway' in Kenya and you'd see how much you shame Africa. Let's post tourism and industries not roads and flowers.
Shma: I can see a flyover on top of slums with Brown asphalt roads all over the place & little to zero development outside that road.
you're just typically dumb
You're looking at a highway passing through a residential area with quality housing everywhere there and guess what, these are just ordinary poor Ghanaians.
What development do you want to see in a residential area apart from houses and roads, electricity and drainages, water , waste collection and etc?
Take a drive through the beautiful neighborhood
You see the mansion poor Ghanaians have built around it?
Saddamochieng00: Didn't take long for him to prove you right. Not a single valid point he's raised but he'll debate me the whole of this week to prove how right he is.
Let's look at his first point. Everyone can clearly see that this is a low/medium rise apartment zone with Convenience Commercial Zone reserved for the lower floors and also Shopping Centre zones. But no he can't see it
it's a nasty slum with no urban planning rules observed ... No descent human being should be relegated to living in such filthy things
Saddamochieng00: And what exactly is wrong in those two videos. I see electricity, piped water, sewerage system, internet connection, street lighting, paved roads, basic social amenities(schools, hospitals),SMEs all over, police and fire coverage.....is there something I left out.
NTSA: Most cities developed organically...as a result of many factors.
in urban planning, you engineer city growth and direct it.
For instance, in 1880s Ghana moved it Capital to Accra.. Accra was a Grassland that received the least rainfall in Ghana. And it had no rivers but a few streams here and there.
NTSA: For you to claim that it's not enough you must back it up with verifiable data showing demand and supply otherwise this is what we call verbal diarrhea.
what demand and supply do you want concerning your mirage take off?
What you'll have in 10 years is a massive socioeconomic disaster because your economy is not ready for them.
Shma: A zoo with Gold and 95% arable land.... Struggling to aim for Kenya with 30% arable land.
With this kind of weather and all the valuable resources, you should be among the top 5 biggest economies in Africa... With advanced infrastructure and cities.
why will we aim for a country below us on all levels?
At 5.5 dollars poverty rate Ghana has 50% and Kenya has 90%
At urbanization rate Ghana has 57% Kenya has 23%
17.5 million people live in urban centers in Ghana and Kenya has 14 million.
At urban planning (slum) Ghana has 23% Kenya has 47%
At electricity access Ghana has almost 90% Kenya has 50%
At electricity consumption Ghana has 4000mw and Kenya 1800mw
At electricity per Capita Ghana has 480kwh and Kenya has 78kwh
At paved roads Ghana has 45,000km and Kenya has less than 20,000km
At health care delivery Every Ghanaian lives within 3km of a health facility and Kenya 10km.
In housing We have 10.7 million housing units and Kenya has less than 7 million
Challenge what I gave you, don't be in every nook and cranny like a village mongrel.
Here is the Kenyan map... The only place where one can live and breed. As you can see, population Is more concentrated in Arable land than the Arid region.
And yes, we can make Arid land habitable. Maybe in 2030 when tech will be at par with our productive population.
Ghana by then will be 1000yrs behind Kenya.
[/s] all these tantrums won't save you ... Come back to reality
It's because you guys are stupid, that is why you allowed accomodations on your most rain fed lands instead of building your cities in the arid regions and use those favorable climatic areas for better agriculture...
Human being can breed on any land except on radiation polluted lands.
NTSA: Kenya also has a building code in every county...slums built are basically illegal structures built on govt reserve lands .Eg according to planning by laws in Nairobi there should be 30 meter reserve land near all riparian bodies like rivers that's why all major slums are along river banks.
So you've not provided a housing solution hence why the slums keep springing up everywhere.
And their social economics is bad because of the monopolies in your country, hence people have no real participation in economic activities to generate income.
Spare your words & engage sense. We're not here for word competition.
Ghana's 57% urbanization rate does not mean it's more developed than Egypt, Pakistan, Indonesia, Bangladesh,, Maldives, Mauritius, Philippines, etc.
You have unplanned urbanization... Despite your zoo being 90% habitable.
Kenya has 35% habitable land, hence why we have a low urbanization rate.
Tantrums of a Kenyan ..
Every land in Kenya is a habitable area if you develop it. You don't have a low urbanization because your land aridity, you have a low urbanization because of your failure to actually spread development to create proper urban centers that engender sustainable economic activity.
You are just on the same level with Rwanda.
Let's talk about planning, Ghana is well planned than your country hence why only 23% of people live in slums in Ghana. Every district in Ghana has it own building code and layout planning hence why slums don't just spring up here.
Shma: You really like jumping into conversations that are beyond your country's capacity. When we talk ghana, Uganda should be on the mix. Cos those are your peers. No country in here is at per with your weeny underdeveloped sh*thole.
Tantrums of an undeveloped country.
Spread your development to achieve a comesurate urbanization rate, else Uganda will forever be a better country than Kenya.
Shitholes are usually associated with below 35 to 40 percent urbanization, it shows uneven development. Most countries are investing at a faster pace to move majority of their population into urban centers where they can best contribute positively to their development.
In order to get to where Ghana is, you need to first aim for Uganda.
