That's where brics comes to play, even rating agencies are west determined that's why calls for new one is needed

I guess you know by now large amount of oil deposits from Namibia across SA coast till Mozambique were discovered.
Also top 10 gas reserves just discovered suddenly The west is pushing opposition(DA) narratives because they pro west to win elections.

By currently status no african country will grow to multiple Trillion GDP unless the west alternative like Brics is executed... The west fears it that's why they been all over african countries, Arab countries, south America trying to foster their influence, with regime change n stuff

After all they wanna punish Ghana n Uganda over lgbtq issue because they not strong countries it will never do it to Saudi, Qatar, UAE... Etc

But some yellow teeth wanna disprove the invisible hand in everything

He wanna blame the hivAIDS issue on ANC, while we know why it ^implemented
They will fail badly

0.4% for an industrial country experiencing 8 hours of power in the previous 3-4 months, for a greylisted country, who's currency lost value due to false claims, country downgraded Ba2, BB-,... Heck year I'm happy smiley wink

However today.. In June no loadsheding, currency is back gaining against the dollar, getting new export markets, US is trying by all means necessary to sway South Africa influence over Russia

That should tell you how underrated south africa is, it's real Economy is understated

I know you wish south africa in hope of Kenya surpacing it... Eventually Kenya will surpass SA due to population
If SA starts involving financial instruments into it GDP like USA does, it economy will be 1.5 Trillion dollars in size

Sounds like biology of electricity. I am in process of setting up my own 110KW mini-hydro. So I know a lot more about this than you will ever know.
Konza - once completed will be 1000MVA - as demand is projected at 700MVA. Now it still under construction. It supplied by 400KV line. Something alien in your country.
Nice dream... You know nothing about electricals
Shut up and learn
There's nowhere in Nairobi where demand has approached even 200MVA
All of Nairobi only consumes 400mw

So Konza 20MVA has not even been completed yet?

Suswa largest substation in Kenya and East Africa is 1400MVA - 3 times bigger than your 435.
Konza City -1050MVA- twice bigger.
Many substations in kenya that run 400KV - your 161KV is small potato.
This is where I know you know nothing about electricity, electrical and electronic.

330kv and 220kv are the arteries of the network

161kv and 131kv are the veins....

Konza is a 20MVA station

You are one who came here with 161KV as best in africa nuclear bla bla. Kenya has 500KV line. And your country is bankrupt.
You're just mad

161kv is the backbone of transmission network and secondly I wasn't even referring to the transition line but the 435MVA substation which is one of a kind in Africa .... Something that has been design to handle load from Nuclear power plants

Bankrupt Kenya does not have such kind of modernization in it transmission system, you guys are left behind in the 20th century.
Your transmission network is less than Ghana and your distribution network is less than half of Ghana's

Know your place and stay there , Bankrupt Kenya is not a match for Ghana in anything

You were doing great if you concentrated on Ghana without mentioning Africa.
Like I told you Kenya has 1,000KM 500KV line to Ethiopia - you best is 200KM - 300KV line.
Biggest substation in kenya sits on 300 acres.
You're small potatoes.
Ghana does not need a 500kv line.

In subsaharan Africa, Ghana only comes second to SA. With good technology, you wouldn't need 300 acres to build a substation and that is what I keep repeating to you that you grid is stuck in the 20th century.
Ghana is busy shinking it substations size to half an acre and even less

I'm sorry if that hurts your feelings but Kenya is not a match, even Ivory Coast is better off than your country.

Imagine comparing 1000km of line to 7,200km here.

Meanwhile there's not even a single substation in Kenya above 300 MVA.

Just imagine comparing Kenya 40,000km distribution line to Ghana's 100, 000km

Or Kenya 3000MVA capacity to Ghana's 9000MVA and being expanded to 17,000MVA.

We didn't spend a billion dollars on our transmission systems for the like of poor Kenya to try to compare

Now try Twi - because I dont understand. Transmission and then what smiley smiley. Your biggest power station is 300KV. Kenya is 400KV.

Stop the delusional about Nuclear and concentrate on getting out of debt default.

Ghana electricity Network is like this. DO NOT CLAIM TO BE AFRICA BIGGEST OR SOME CRAP.

"GRIDCo now owns and operates a countrywide transmission system for the distribution of
bulk electric power in Ghana, consisting of about 218km of 330kV transmission line, About
4,000 circuit-kilometres 161 kilovolts (kV) transmission lines and 50 of 161/34.5kV and/or
11.5kV substations. Six hundred (600) circuit-kilometres of the 161 kV lines are currently
operated at 34.5 kV and are referred to as “161 kV light lines”. The transmission system is a
161 kV loop serving loads in the southern part of the country and two separate radial lines
from Techiman to the north."

Table 1: Fact sheet on transmission network - transmission line lengths
330 kV 219.5 km
161kV 3,888.1 km
225 kV 73.4 km
69 kV 132.8 km
No. of Transformers (including spares) 100
Transformer Capacity 2,915 MVA
No. of Transformer/Switching Substations 53
Largest switching Substation is Volta
substation
Tema
Transformer Substations 330/161kV, 161/69kV, 161/34.5kV,
161/11.5kV
Again your brain is too fried to know the difference between a sub station and a transmission line.
Good you confessed you don't understand 🤣😂

It will take bankrupt Kenya in default another decade before it can lay hands on the kind of technology that gridco has employed on it transmission systems including it substations.

Kenya is now thinking about building the kind of substations we've built with completion years in 2033.

Anyway let me just burst your lies on GRIDco transmission

GRIDCO has a transmission network of 7,200 ckm
Substations of 70
They are currently increasing their transformer capacity to 17,000MVA
ECG has a 100,000km of service lines

Kenya is just a small country and hasn't gotten here yet... It's always crazy to see you compare your dark country to Ghana on electricity

161KV - is hardly anything to shout about. Kenya has 500KV (so does like of South Africa) that stretches almost 1000km from border of Ethiopia to Nairobi

The largest substation in Kenya, 400/220kV Suswa substation is the switching point for the following transmission lines;
1. 1,100km 500kV Eastern Electricity Highway Project,
2. 400kV Suswa - Isinya
3. 220kV Suswa – Nairobi North
4. 400kV 430km Loiyangalani – Suswa
KETRACO

Inter-connector is a 500kV bi-polar (1,045km) HVDC OHL from Sodo through Moyale to Suswa. It is used to import power from Gibe III from Ethiopia

Stop small country syndrome - 161KV and nuclear power?? When will poor bankrupt Ghana get nuclear power?
Sometimes I dont know whether to insult you or just observe because you're quite stupid.

Have you ever stepped a foot in a classroom before? Wow Kenya really poorly educated you.
Transmit 400kv to homes and industry and see if you don't kill your entire country.

Let me educate you a bit
1. I'm referring to a substation (power hub) and not a transmission line

2. The 161-kV and 115-kV system is the workhorse of the transmission system. It is responsible for transmitting power from the larger transmission system and generation facility throughout the entire service area.

3. The Technology employed in Ghana's substations can not be found in your poor bankrupt country Kenya. Those techs are one of a kind
They make it easily possible to join load from Nuclear power plants. We've managed to reduced the size(footprint) of our substations to the size of a lawn tennis court, using technology.

The transmission lines and substation network in Kenya have not been design to accept load from Nuclear power station. Try it and things will start going boom.

Now go and worry about your small irrelevant poor country... You guys don't have money for these techs. Let me know when Kenya build with such l techs

Except the punitive action if students dont repay loans. How will they repay when they arent assured of jobs. Just charge them reasonable interest and penalties. Threatening mostly poor Kids with jail if they dont repay loans is crazy and Zoolike.

Student loans and mix of scholarship is way to go. Student loans should attract low interest - in kenya 4% - and penalties - but you cannot jail unemployed graduates now?
The punitive action is there for those who will make up their minds that they won't pay back and those who don't need it but will still go for it. It is highly likely that after 2 years of graduation, a person will have something gainful doing.

My media is only doing their job which is to report everything, if you're finding a lot about Nigeria in it, then it is really revealing about how much crime comes from that section.

Why not Burkina or Liberia?

The Nigerian media does an excellent job of reporting when a foreigner commits a crime and if you're not finding that many crimes from Ghanaians in your media, it should tell you something.

What is Trokosi?

Trokosi is a traditional system where virgin girls, some as young as six years old, are sent into Troxovi shrines (shrines for gods) as slaves to make amends for wrongs committed by a member of the virgin girl’s family. Until the Trokosi system came to the attention of the general public in the 1990s, girls sent to the shrines stayed for life. After the 90’s some of the priests and elders were willing to let the girls go back home after a few years, for a few months, but had to return whenever they were sent for. When they die, the family must replace her with another virgin girl. This means that the family will pay reparation, of one girl, forever.

The Trokosi system is based on the belief that gods have the power to search for wrongdoers and punish them. People who feel an injustice has been committed against them, go to the shrine and place a curse on the offender so that they will be punished by the gods. These curses take several forms, strange sicknesses, unexplained deaths, incurable diseases or successive deaths within a family.

When the virgin girls are sent to the shrines, they become the “wives of the gods” and are sexually exploited by the priests and shrine elders. The shrine priest is the spiritual head of the shrine and “proxy for the gods” while clansmen can be appointed as elders of the shrine. The girls are forced to work in any capacity that suits these priests and elders – for instance, on their farms.
I don't need you to explain what trokosi is to me, something that used to be practiced by less than 3000 people.

The question is, was it abolished almost 30 years ago…?

Ghanaian ladies are the best and we treat them like queens here 🤣😂 I wonder how Nigerians ladies manage to cope with the stinking behaviors of Nigerian men.. No wonder no Ghanaian woman want to date you.. this kind of toxic behavior won't take you anywhere 🤣😂

If you're taking a Ghanaian woman on a date, the least you'll spend is 500 to 600 cedis and the most you'll spend is between 1000 to 2000 cedis oh high end restaurants.
As we speak, a Nigerian woman is crying on the streets of Lagos because a Nigerian man couldn't afford 12,000 naira on a date and he ran away and Ghanaians are busy wondering how much 12,000 naira is that a Nigerian man is running away. 😂🤣
