Stop telling me things.
I dont listen to mad men.

Ruto knows what he is doing. Concentrate on finding good replacement for that dwarf idiot NANA.

How much is some money that AfriExim sneaked in?
so far, it looks like they've disbursed over a billion to 1.5 billion.....
You guys have already used some of the money to finance food import.

Your country 200 irrigation idea has been lurking around since 2018 but there hasn't been money to finance it. Now you have gotten 800million for it and the total cost of that project is supposed to be 3 billion dollars.

If it was going to be successful, how come Ruto wasn't able to find investors who will sign a PPP agreement for it and he decided to go and borrow 800million Afriexim bank money to finance it.

PPP partners don't put their money into loss making ventures

rvp2018:
See - you should concentrate on Ghana.
Ruto is still financing and executing Uhuru last budget.
The next budget will be read in mid June.
Finance bill approved in July.

Kenya or East Africa budget cycle is not like Ghana and Nigeria - it not calendar year. It starts in July to June.

Unless Exim bank has mad men like you - I dont expect any money to come in until somewhere late this year or early next year.

Unless they handed kenya 800M in silver platter and said do whatever you want.

It doesnt work that way.
So now you know that some have already come in? 🤣😂🤣

Don't worry, there's no hinderance to the rest coming in because your parliament has already given approval for it.

I told you that your 200 irrigation dam wasn't going to be PPP because no business person was going to finance it.... The thing had no profit plan in the margin that PPPs look for.

This is why your govt went to Afriexim bank to borrow 800 million budgetary financing support to build it

rvp2018:
IDIOT - the PPP dams will be built in the next budget circle. That start from July.
Kenya just invited for bids
It a long way before financing is nailed.
AfriExim bank has made comittment to finance them.

There is no money - no dam - no contract - no enviromental assessment - nothing to be disbursed to.
Stupid .... The money for it has already been approved by your govt

Something your parliament has approved and disbursement been made is no longer a commitment 😂🤣

Did your parliament know there was no contracts before approving the loan agreement?

I told you earlier on the it wasn't going to be a PPP since it wasnt going to make profit.

The mad cow said Ruto had been given 15B dollars in 8 months. That genesis of this madness where you cheering a sick man. Obaboon Kenya has not received any money from AfriExim bank.

All the dollars flowin in and out now is almost a matter of national security concern.

I definitely would be happy if AfriExim bank can lend us even 200M dollars - for now - they remain just empty commitment.
Your were happy to post few days ago that your govt will build 200 irrigation facilities..... Where do you think the money was coming from?

Afriexim bank has given them 800 dollars as a budget support for that .... You were jubilating all over the place 🤣😂

My position has not changed. Exim bank 3B remain hot air empty committment until I see the money. You and the mad cow already claimed kenya has got billions smiley. Ruto was out looking for 600M syndicated commercial bank loans - and only got 200M.

Egypt alone where that Exim bank is based would kill to get dollars.

Kenya is begging IMF for few millions.

Bankrupt Ghana is overjoyed to get 600M dollars after having emptied their forex reserves.
you won't see the money because it doesn't come to you, it goes to your treasury who have confirmed that they've gotten the money.

Another lie... Ruto got 500 million dollars of syndicated loans out of the 600 million he was looking for. Do you want confirmation?

Now I understand why Mombasa and Nairobi looks darker than they were 3 years ago

I was surprised when I accessed satellite data today

Kenya Power is taking more than eight hours on average to connect its more than nine million customers back to the grid after a blackout, exposing itself to the risk of renewed compensation claims by businesses for financial losses, a new report by the sector regulator has shown.

Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (Epra) data shows that November 2022 was the worst in nearly two years after outages lasted 10.63 hours on average, prompting households and factories to seek costlier alternatives.

Exim bank facilitate export and imports. I know they have funded KQ acquisition of Boeing Jets and such things - normally export and import related transactions.

They cannot offer kenya 3B dollars as loans. Maybe the Climate financing thing. I remain skeptical of this.
They are financing food supply to Kenya through your govt. Also aiding your govt with funds it can use at it discretion to help uplift your economy especially on the trade front. Those are budget elements

The 1st agreemnt on 800M dollars will be on irrigation & dams under climate change fund for africa. That can only happen in the next budget that start from July. It was disbursed to your government in May 2023.

Exactly this month

A financial commitment is a commitment to an expense at a future date. We may use the term for either a major expense or an ordinary one. Depending on the situation, the term may refer to either a very-long-term commitment or a one-off payment. Financial commitments exist in both the business and non-business world.

You do know the map NASA posted was from 2012, right? when Kenyan access was only 38% hence why its shown mostly dark along with the rest of Africa that had a very low access to electricity at the time? Keep up with the times. Kinda like how you wouldn't trust Google Maps from a couple of years ago that was showing home images of "x" country using ancient images dating back to 2008 ~ 2011.

https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2017/09/these-3-maps-show-whats-powering-the-world

No, census is just inaccurate because like I said, not everyone participates in it. My god.
Sorry it is not a map referring to

It is live satellite observation which also monitors weather patterns. It has a 20 minutes lag.
Then there's Maxar satellite data which takes photos daily of every country their satellite passes over.

Say Kenya census is inaccurate because your official sit in their offices to conjure number. In the rest of the world, census is a serious data collection thing.

Understand role of Exim Bank first. AfriExim bank has not lent to kenya. They made a 3yr commitment. That remain empty commitment until the money arrives in gov coffers.

https://www.afreximbank.com/afreximbank-launches-us3-billion-country-programme-with-the-government-of-kenya-%EF%BF%BC/

Nairobi, Kenya, 03 May 2023 – African Export-Import Bank (“Afreximbank” or the “Bank”) on 2 May 2023 in Nairobi signed a US$3 Billion Country Programme with the Government of Kenya. The official signing ceremony was witnessed by President William Ruto at State House Nairobi.

The memorandum was signed by Kenya’s Honourable Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of National Treasury and Economic Planning, Professor Njuguna Ndungu, and the President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Afreximbank, Professor Benedict Oramah, in the presence of President William Ruto. The memorandum establishes a framework for the implementation of the Country Programme for the Republic of Kenya.

The three-year Country Programme of up to US$3 billion will support viable trade and trade-related investments in Kenya in both the private and public sectors. The financing package will be implemented using several instruments, including loans, guarantee facilities, trade services, investment banking and advisory services.

Kenya will be the first country to access Afreximbank’s recently introduced Climate Change Adaptation Facility to be implemented as a component of the country programme, with an US$800 million Kenya Climate Change Adaptation Facility (KCCAF). This will be directed towards developing 200 irrigation schemes under a public-private partnership framework using structures that are budget and sovereign-debt-neutral.
So it's a loan that your govt will have to pay back ...
