obaaderemi:I pray they don't get there because their region is a messy place already |
Shma2022:you see why you're just dumb.. Since you're focusing on exchange rate.... You still need 12 kshs to get 1 Cedi, unfortunately there's no trade between both countries to have a direct comparison. In value terms it is even worse because you'll need as much as 30 kshs to get the value of a Cedi.. This is part of the reason why there's a higher standard of living in Ghana than Kenya |
rvp2018:madness of a bumb person ![]() Keep wailing like a goat |
rvp2018:There's a reason why the Japanese yen is more valuable than the Cedis and it all comes down to the money supply( inflows and outflows) while the Cedi has a better exchange rate than the yen. Same can't be said for the kshs as it supply(inflows out flows) is lower than the Cedis and worse of all, it trading volume is non-existent.. The strength of a currency is tradability The strength of and economy is trade volume You see why you have no knowledge of economics? ![]() |
rvp2018:Ghana will not default.. as I am speaking, she is busily buying gold and printing money .... Kenya economy is one of the weakest economy on the continent, highly bloated hence has no trickle down effect on it population. I pray that Ghana doesnt end up in the debt cycle that Kenya has found itself where it is now paying wages out of acquiring more debt where you only see a face value growth which has no effect on the real economy. Your country is in a deep shit and if nothing at all, the two IMF programs it has signed into should tell you something. Things are only going to get worse for you guys especially when your govt can't spend anymore. By 2024, your country liabilities to international finance houses will have reached 15 billion dollars per annum. 74% of your revenue is already gone.. imagine how much it will be in 2 years time |
rvp2018:dumb cow tantrums look bad on you Fortunately it is among the 5 most valuable currencies on the continent. It has made the worse loses for this year in trading . The Kenyan shillings is now at hundred and what? Let me jump into your bumb level to taunt you a bit. You see how your cost of living crisis has fallen deeply on your population and made them even more poorer ? That is all happing because of the throwback hyperinflation in the Kenyan economy. What your country is facing is price inflation and it terrible effect on your population is damning Same can't be said for Ghana while Ghana is facing monetary inflation whose effect does not normally translate into pricing as quickly as price inflation |
rvp2018:let me just laugh ![]() You have a debt crisis you can't fix after several restructuring Your are in 2022 and 15% of your budget is still dependent on aid. Someone else is deciding if your hospitals will be running or not, whether you will have an education or not, whether you'll have water or electricity or not. All those aside, you have a humanitarian disaster on your hand as well as a social crisis . That is how funny you country is |
rvp2018:Still valuable than shilling ![]() Next excuse |
Shma2022:repeating won't help you venezuelan zoo man 402 billion cedis debt Your shillings is not trusted hence your central bank management .. they will keep babysitting your currency driving every Kenyan into deeper poverty despite the immense benefit of a floating currency ... I didn't expect life to be that deplorable until I decided to take a look at the living standard of Kenyans. |
Shma2022:how is your venezuela doing zoo man? While Ghana inflation jumped, it had a lesser impact on the average Ghanaian because the everyday need of the ordinary Ghanaian is mostly provided by the Ghanaian economy itself. The power of being an export led economy... The double blow of inflation and depreciation dealth a disaster on your economy which has sent more Kenyans into poverty and starvation. This is all because your economy is import dependent |
Shma2022:That will not happen because my money retains lot of value ... It will even hold greater value with the current central bank gold purchasing scheme. You Kenyans are the ones requiring lots of notes to buy bread. Until you come to under currencies, you won't know how worthless the Kenyan shillings is. You think your central bank made it a managed currency for no reason? ![]() The Nigerian naira seized being a managed currency in 2016 into a floating tradable currency and today it is more valuable than the Kenyan shillings with it current level of trust |
Shma2022:Yeah speculation and reality ![]() Your zoo is busy undergoing a 6.3 billion double IMF package over the last 12 months all because of a 74% debt to GDP ratio. Yet you want to compare yourself to a country that manage to reduced it debt ration from 86% to 68% by mere economic growth without an IMF package? Good luck ![]() Kenya despite all it resources couldn't get itself out of it stupid debt trap because you guys borrowed without thinking hence a 12 billion dollars yearly debt servicing cost... That is a 12 debt disaster looking at your ability to pay back. |
Shma2022:expectations and reality ain't the same Venezuelan man Get over your country desperate debt situation 80 billion dollars is not small money... Anyway, what did you guys do with it? Because it wasn't like the life of Kenyans improved. Your access to electricity is still at 50% Your tarred roads below 20k km Your dependable electricity capacity at 1,800mw With just 17% of homes connected to water in your country With only 700km of SGR, last I checked. So how did you balloon that kind of debt? |
Shma2022:I like the way you deflect ![]() |
Shma2022:Actually I have one of the strongest currencies on the continent... But as usual I don't expect you to know that.... If you understand economics you will no that taking an exchange rate beating allows your to adjust... While it affect your debt, the exchange rate absorbing the shocks permit your economic growth from taking the hit... With an economics growth, your economy is more than capable of paying the debt. This is what the Kenyan economy couldn't do hence in an attempt to keep managing it currency to bring some level of trust to it economy and prevent social collapse, it real growth took a beating and it ended up at IMF last year after so many years of defaulting on debt. |
Shma2022:hellow venezuelan man ![]() As you can see, this is 2022 and it is back down to 68%.... I know the reality hurts you but it still remain the reality ![]() This was publish just this October.... Cry more, it won't reduce your country debt from 74% which has driven you to the IMF
|
Shma2022:You forgot that I was the one who first posted the debt history of both countries before you had to enter your denial mode Typical kenyan |
Shma2022:You're the one dealing with a Zimbabwe economy that makes Kenyans poor every year without any transformation in the living conditions of Kenyans over the last 10 years. You're the ones who need wheelbarrows to go and buy just bread and that is if you're lucky to find bread on the shelf. ![]() When a Ghanaian needs bread, he needs just 5 cedis to get a decent 500g bread |
obaaderemi:They are counting on a new tourism drive called Kenya the real deal to salvage their country...hoping for the same successes Ghana chalked with it year of return. But how will that happen when Kenyan workmanship looks like this? ![]() I now understand why they are easily excited by pavements... It is a miracle to find good pavement there
|
Shma2022:Expectations and reality ain't the same... ![]() It has already dropped from 78% to 68% It will drop even further by next year as the economy has perform far better than expected. Your country debt to GDP currently stand at 74% with foreign debt accounting for 51% of all debt. Your constant default on debt obligation is what took you to the IMF |
Shma2022:Keep crying How is the IMF program going? 68% as at July in the latest October Economic review Ghana total debt of 54.4 billion dollars ![]()
|
Shma2022:I know how you guys blindly deny ![]()
|
Shma2022:I know economic is not your strong suit... First of all, Kenya has drawn more money from IMF than Ghana Kenya has been to the IMF 24 times Kenya has more outstanding iMF debt to the tune of 6.e billion dollars ![]() |
Shma2022:Kenya entered the Zimbabwe mode 4 years ago when it defaulted on it loan obligations and now under 6 billion IMF double package. ![]() Ghana has almost already whethered it storm with debt to GDP at 68% without at default. |
rvp2018:crazy boy... Debt default ain't possible here ..... Don't think every economy is weak like the Kenyan economy that has been defaulting on it debt obligation leading to several restructuring to make it easier for you to pay.. Even after that, you ended up with two IMF program to the tune of almost 6 billion dollars. ![]() How is that working out? We've not even began to talk about it ramifications |
rvp2018:foreign debt constitute less than 45% of our total debt. Fortunately for Ghana, a default like Kenyan has had over the last four years which has led to constant restructuring of your debt is not possible here. The kind that has led you into two IMF bailout in the space of just 12 months without which your peanut economy would have cascaded Into Bater trading. ![]() Over the cause of 6 months, 3 billion dollars has dropped into Ghanaian coffers which just proceeds from oil and cocoa that has not yet been invested .. that alone is enough to pay Ghana's debt interest and amortization.. Your country does not have that so it is currently relying on IMF 2.3 billion dollars as budget support and wage payment while it's forfill it obligation to it debt providers using 74% of revenue. Next year will even be worse for you |
rvp2018:I'm focused on the real living conditions of the citizens since that is what indicates the real power of the economy. What can of life an economy that only connect 50% of it population to electricity in the 21st century provide for it people.? What kind of life does it provide when 45% of it people sleep in dusty shacks? What life does it provide when 25% do open defecation? Ghana debt to GDP is at a lower 68% which is lower than that of Kenya. Ghana Cedi is a free floating currency which makes it better at insulating the economy especially for a going export dependent economy. The Kenyan economy is a heavily import dependent one with a managed currency which can't has failed at protecting your economy hence the 24 IMF bailout without it, there will be a greater starvation disaster on your hand than you currently have because then Kenyan populis are too lazy to be able to weather that base on pure economic engagement. |
rvp2018:fortunately Ghana debt to GDP has now dropped to 68% |
rvp2018:tantrums of a dumb guy whose country is deteriorating right before his own eyes... How do you live in a country where only 9% of houses are connected to pipe water and only 9% are connected to sewage while the rest rely on pit lattrines and dug out as well as open defecation? How do you manage with 45% of your people living in shacks doing hand to mouth ? |
rvp2018:I know what your tantrums look like... Better start facing your realities than screaming your usual madness here. Kenya has been in the dogs for w years now.... Have you wondered why your poverty has increased by 10% and the reason why the number of starving Kenyans has hit 12 million? The Ghanaian economy is far resilient such that even in the face of difficulties, it still provide transformational growth for each and every Ghanaian to rise on the economic ladder as was shown on our latest living standard report. |
rvp2018:Not really so... We are not Kenya Maximum it will take is Two years for us to resolve our current challenges and while at it , we don't have to suspend development like Kenya that have no fiscal space to carry out development for the next 5 years. By the end of your t years freeze on development, more Kenyans would have dropped even further into deeper poverty. |
rvp2018:Thanks that you have little knowledge of economics and how things work.. You had this same Convo with the south Africans and we all educated you here on how things work.. Anyway, by the close of year, Ghana's GDP will be at 90 billion dollars. Kenya is still struggling to pick up it per Capita from the LDC limite of 1800 dollars ... Atleast work hard. |
