I'm not in support of her behavior but let's be objective, this story was told by a third party. The man must have said something nasty to his wife in reply to what she saw, but nobody knows. Point is, if it were the man who saw the nudes on her phone he MIGHT have done worse. People are just angry because it was a man that slapped.

Nope, if a woman does not lactate immediately after birthing, formula is started so the baby does not starve.
I know women who didn't lactate for 2 weeks, so baby had to be started on formula immediately, she was just unlucky her baby reacted to whatever she gave him.

Breastfeeding is the best and undisputed champion for babies. Most formulas are from cow milk with other chemicals added.
