Nigerians believe in shouting while praying,we believe that if we shout God will give immediate reply to our request but how true is this? Have once be challenged by a church mate that why do I always pray gently or in silence but I told him that I don't like shouting when talking to my God. This week Sunday, I invited a Muslim girl to my Church and after the service she asked me why people were shouting during the prayer section. She asked in a disappointed tone, 'won't God answer my prayer if I pray silently.I just told her that it doesn't matter how she raised her voice, she only need her heart to be connected with God and she was relived. But till now, am still confused why Nigerians believe that if they don't shout their prayer won't reach heaven. So I decided know the opinion of the NL. |

The draw for the third round of the FA Cup was held on Tuesday in Cardiff and a number of Premier League sides will meet each other. Defending champions Arsenal were drawn at home against Sunderland – a team the Gunners recently beat 3-1 at the Emirates in the league. The last time Sunderland actually beat Arsenal was in the FA Cup in February 2012. Elsewhere, the Gunners’ north London rivals were drawn against table toppers Leicester City in another mouthwatering clash between two Premier League sides. Spurs are currently fifth in the table and both sides have lost just once in the League so far. Watford and Newcastle United were the first two sides to be drawn and will face each other. Manchester United travel to Sheffield to take on Sheffield United while Chelsea are at home to the winners of the replay between Leyton Orient and Scunthorpe United after the first fixture ended 0-0. Meanwhile, Manchester City will travel to take on Norwich City. The Minister of Information Culture, Alh. Lai Mohammed has showered praises on Nigerian soldiers for their gallant fight and bravery in dislodging the elements of Boko Haram, particularly in Bama and Konduga Local Government Areas of Borno state, saying that the December deadline will be realistic. The Minister gave the commendation, Sunday, during an official visit to Bama and Konduga Local Government Councils of Borno State. Mohammed who led a team of information reporters to the visit said, he was humbled by the high scale of destruction and damages left behind in the areas by the insurgents. He commended the Nigerian army for making impact in rooting out the insurgents and making more efforts in recapturing the remaining areas before the December deadline. ‘‘They are very happy about what we are doing and are very committed to restoring peace in North-East and unity of this country. We went to Bama and Konduga and saw firsthand, the scale of damage and destruction that the Boko Haram terrorists left behind. ‘‘It humbled many of us, and we all came back very sober. I hope that with this visit, my colleagues in the media will show more restraint, more understanding in reporting the efforts being made in the war against terrorism. We are also confident that by today, we are much more informed about the corruption war,’’ he said. On the visit to the IDP camp in Bama, where the team saw the victims of the war, old people, women and kids, the Minister lamented the impact of the war on the victims, and promised that government would do everything possible to rehabilitate them soon. https://www.today.ng/news/national/48156/nigerian-soldiers-are-unsung-heroes-minister?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter |

Real Madrid played Cheryshev who was ineligible for
yesterday game against cardiz. Denis
Cheryshev should have been suspended for that
game after collecting three bookings for Villarreal
in last year's competition when he was on loan.
also Borja Mayoral should not have been on
the bench after he was sent off in last season's
Youth Cup Final - although this has not been
confirmed.
so what's your thoughts guys. |
GOAL - Man City 4-1 Hull
Andrew Robertson
Consolation.
Game over but something for Hull full-back
Andrew Robertson to remember.
It's sublime. He collects the ball in his own half
before scampering up the pitch ala Mo Farah,
exchanging passes with a team-mate, finding
himself in the Man City area and dinking a finish
past Willy Caballero.
All too late though and City were caught
napping. |
GOAL - Man City 4-0 Hull
Kevin de Bruyne
Getting ugly for Steve Bruce's Hull!
Beautiful. Kevin de Bruyne with his second of
the match, this time a free-kick from the edge
of the box, curled into the top corner despite a
Hull defender on the line.
The Belgian really is a joy to watch. |

Finally, the long wait for a second goal is over.
It's smartly home from the home side as two
substitutes combine.
Raheem Sterling whips a cross in from the left
and Kelechi Iheanacho taps in from close range. |

Follow live text updates as Man City host Hull in the Capital One Cup quarter-finals on Tuesday evening. Manchester City boss Pellegrini: "We will see, with the medical staff, the way they [Silva and Hart] recover. Maybe we are going to make some changes but not so many as Pablo Zabaleta, Vincent Kompany, Eliaquim Mangala and Samir Nasri are all out of this game. "So, especially in defending, we cannot make so many changes. We will see in the other positions which is the best team to start. "Maybe for teams that are out of some competitions - the Champions League or the Capital One Cup - it is easier to play in the Premier League. But we always want to continue in all the competitions." Hull boss Steve Bruce: "We have got to have the belief that we can go and take them on. Last year in the Premier League we caused them a few problems. "Up until Friday we hadn't been beaten for four months. We've had a really consistent run - we've only lost three out of 22 games, and so we can feel a bit confident. "Once it gets to this stage everybody takes it seriously, The big clubs traditionally have used it to see if their young players are good enough, but once you get to this stage Manchester City will be looking and thinking 'Arsenal are out, Chelsea are out, Manchester United are out', so there's a path forward for them and we also have to think the same thing." lineup coming up soon www.m.bbc.com/sport/live/football/34706510?live_variant=nonjs MAN CITY TEAM NEWS Team to play Hull: Caballero, Sagna, Otamendi, Mangala, Clichy, Delph, Fernandinho, Navas, Silva, De Bruyne, Bony.
