Quite typical. Give a dog a bad name to hang it.
It's same reason why we pay IHS today. A miniscule number of folks on visiting visa used the NHS for non-urgent care without paying the result after the resulting media fanfare was that a blanket tax was placed on all working (not visiting) migrants. This has since been turned to a revenue stream for the govt.

This driver was driving illegally outside the initial 12 month period. How many times does this happen and what are the percentages compared to the corresponding general populace? This driver may have been behind the wheels even if that ban was in place.
What if a foreign driver who passed commited such error - would the coroner advocate foreign drivers be subjected to stricter rules even after passing their test?

The coroner overstepped the boundary of the case seeking means to unduly infringe on allowances migrants enjoy. Being able to drive has been a life-saver for many families -many of whom limit their ride to short distances. This has existed for a long time and what evidence is there to infer that banning this group would make British roads significantly safer?
These are critical questions that should be asked before the right-wing narrative carries this on.
Exactly! Immigrants are always at the wrong end of everything that is going wrong in the country, very convenient to suggest a policy that will further place more restrictions on immigrants who are already struggling to navigate the system

That is exactly the point, that narrative helped the clown in USA win presidential election and now certain section of the UK establishment wants to replicate the same here.

Wow, this is terrible. Even if one is allowed to drive for a year with a foreign licence, it's advisable to at least study and understand all the rules of the road in the UK asap. If this had been well understood, this accident would have been avoided. The theoretical understanding is as improtant as passing the practical driving test. Not knowing who had the right of way was what led to this disaster.

A bad driver is a bad driver British license holder or foreign one...

Very good let every migrant leave and let’s see where it takes them 😂

Malema once told a story how they chased away some migrants traders selling tomatoes in a particular place and the locals could not replace them and later they started complaining they were not seeing tomatoes to buy again. Foolish idiots

Yea i saw that interview, honestly i wasn't too surprised that some SA displayed that level of ignorant, they are not different from Tommy Robinson followers here who blame immigrants for their lazy backsides. The same way Trump supporters blame immigrants for lack of job opportunities and high crime rate, the clown sent ICE to deport thousands and now farmers and construction company owners are crying their eyes out.

The UK universities are feeling the financial pain as a result Tory and Labour govt drastic immigration policies.

By the end of this year care home agencies will be on their knees begging for workers.

@All

Are we following what is happening in South Africa? I mean recent videos i have been seeing is concerning.

At this point i don't think that the South African govt can stop this moving, they are not after just illegal immigrants even legal ones with papers are being harassed and told straight away to leave South Africa.

The recent protest called March to March was massively attended.

For where ? My cousin's full that country, uncles too, some even went there through school way.

Not even a 3 rooms they have built ever since they migrated to the UK years ago.

Stinginess on their side is on another level entirely. They always complaining, scared of spending money.

Make all the money there, spend all the money there too.

They never had extra to spend on anything else aside UK taxes.

Uchenna who traveled to the USA barely 3 years, working as a security guard in a MALL in California have already finished his Duplex. And UK guys have spent 10-20 years nothing to show for

Just live a good life in UK that's all, fresh skin, eating good foods, nice environment that's all.

Money ❌✖️
Building a house in Nigeria is waste of money unless you are building it for your parents.

They are stingy to you because you are probably a freeloader, you can make your own money and give it away as you wishes.

Guys I am asking this on behalf of an applicant, it will be helpful if you can contribute

The client already got her CAS letter from schools now about to apply for a visa

Her wema bank statement last transaction date was on the 2nd of march and after this day no transaction till date

So she wants to print out another bank statement for visa application on Monday ( 30th of March ) the question is

Can the end date on the bank statement be 30th of march Which will be the same date as printing date of the bank statement

Or

The end date should be the last date of transaction ( 2nd of march) while print out date will be 30th of march

Any contribution will be helpful
You get paid by your client to do the job and you came here for free advice? How much are you going to pay those helping you to do your job?

The general news says: "Only PhD or Research students can bring family." But there is a specific legal loophole that most people are overlooking.

Oga dey calm down . We all know how this thing work, u think it’s easy to cough out 40-50m naira instantly just like that. You are here defending the oyinbo system that are in support of financing as method of payment for good and services.
Even their citizen can’t afford the tuition that’s why they created payment plan for them .
A business or economy without credit or financing procedure would crumble .
You think they don’t know the best way to meet up with tuition fee for majority of international students is to work while schooling ? They know all of these that’s why they even granted u d grace to come with dependent that would work without limit just so u can pay ur tuition balance . They even give u the opportunity to apply for credit card.
At d end of the day it’s a win win scenario bcus the percentage of students that didn’t mess up that grace are higher than those that messed it up. Their economy and education industry keep booming , whereas u as a migrant gets a japa pathway

There is no crime if one wants to travel via study route, work legally as d system permits and pay tuition balance. Stop discouraging us with your mean words please . No be everybody wey dey here be billionaire pikin. Probably u sef japa via same method but u are here condemning others and saying their idea is “m@dness”.
I'm used to gibberish from ignorant individuals like you, i have been here long enough to know that you have zero knowledge of what you are talking about.

UKIV did not allow the main applicant to come with dependant so as to work and pay fees, allowing you to apply for credit card means jack.

This level of ignorant is exactly why immigration rules keep changing for worse every year and genuine prospective students suffer.

That’s so crazy if the school had this bad experience about mostly Nigerian students. Most applicants dream to pay off their tuition balance once in UK
I think universities in the UK are being forced to take a stand, how would a student get a visa with complete amount then get to the UK and default on tuition free payment? Obviously that money never existed and schools have the right to demand for full payment or increase the deposit. They are not running charity organisations, it’s business.

Planning to work and pay remaining tuition fees is just madness because you are not sure of getting that job sooner.
TravelRe: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 9 by justwise(mod): 11:54am On Mar 18
AKAyomide:
Most universities in the UK have started adjusting their tuition deposit payments. If you had paid earlier but it was increased before issuing CAS numbers, you have no option but to pay the full amount. That is so pathetic to me and I feel sorry for the new policy of the university. I was about to make the payment yesterday morning when I noticed the change in the tuition deposit especially at Hull University.
I still don’t understand what the issue is here, if you can not afford the deposit how will be able to afford the tuition fee?

Universities have to do this because of our track record and to avoid what happened last summer. Universities have to chase students to pay up remaining tuition fees and many Nigerians went to social media and television channels to drag universities because of this.

I received an email from the home office that my application is successful (e-visa issued)that vsf global will get to me, a day after, I received an automated email (do not reply) from vfs Global telling me to submit my passport.
Application that was submitted more than a year ago in Lagos and I paid for courier return which I still have my collection slip with me hoping to receive and email telling me my passport is ready for collection and has been picked up by DHL with reference number for tracking.
I could not reply the vfs Global email and could not them on phone too, both vsf global and tlscontact.
Contact UKIV with your application reference number. You can call or email them though this is not free but it’s the easiest way to get in contact with them.

TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by justwise(mod): 4:49pm On Mar 07
Kemo88:
Good day everyone,

I’m here to share my story. I’m grateful that it ended in praise. Let me start by saying that I’m glad I joined this group almost 10 years ago. Back then, everyone here always advised dealing with immigration honestly, and that really helped in my case.

Secondly, if you have given birth in the U.S. before and you don’t have any urgent business there, try to stay away from the U.S. entirely , embassy or otherwise till this era is over. Also, if you know you might flout immigration rules or may not be able to properly inform the embassy of your plans, it may be better to consider another country to give birth to your child.

Here’s my story.

Last year, my mum applied for a visa via Dropbox (she has had several U.S. visas before). She was later called for an interview. My mum is very elderly and has started to forget things lately, so I accompanied her to the embassy. I did not apply for a visa; I simply went with her.

When we got there, the consular officer decided to interview me instead. I respectfully declined to be interviewed, but she refused. I considered walking out, but she already had both my passport and my mum’s passport with her. (I had to bring my passport in order to enter the embassy with my mum.) She told me it was too late to decline the interview.

Anyway, I decided to respond to her questions because I didn’t know what she might put on my record if I refused. She asked if I had any of my children in the U.S. I had no reason to lie, so I said yes. She asked when, and I said 2021. She then said that according to the rules, after 2020 you cannot give birth in the U.S. on a visitor (B1/B2) visa.

I explained that I had sent a letter of intent to the embassy at the time and that they informed me it was okay to proceed because I had medical complications. I had previously lost a pregnancy and was on the verge of losing the one I was carrying.

She said I was lying. She then pulled out a white paper (I used to think white paper was a good sign at the U.S. embassy until that day) and issued me a permanent ban from entering the U.S. I was shocked. It felt like a civilian being hit by a military-grade stray bullet. It wasn’t even my interview ,how on earth did I end up with a ban?

I tried to explain that she should allow me to retrieve evidence of the letter of intent I had sent to the embassy, but she refused. So I simply asked, “Is that all?” and walked away. The entire situation felt very strange.

When I got home, I decided to get a lawyer. I explained everything, and we began the process. We gathered all the documents and even swore an affidavit. The lawyer sent the documents to the embassy via mail and email. We CC’d every U.S. embassy email address in Nigeria and even some outside Nigeria.

They didn’t respond for almost two months. We sent a reminder still no response. So I started sending reminders every other week. At that point, the worst had already happened, so I felt I had nothing to lose.

About three months later, we finally received a response saying they couldn’t do anything because the consular officer had added a “no waiver” clause to my ban. I still didn’t give up.

I composed another email explaining everything that happened that day, attached all the documents from my lawyer again, and sent it.

A month later, they responded saying I should apply for a visa, pay the fee, schedule an appointment, and come to the embassy. They said whichever consular officer I met would determine whether I could receive a waiver.

I wasn’t sure I wanted to go through that process, especially given the uncertainty of the outcome in this era we are in. I had already lost hope, so I stopped emailing them.

About five months later, while I was praying, I felt strongly that I should send another email. In that email, I asked them to please investigate the matter again. I explained once more that I had informed the embassy of my intention to give birth in the U.S. because of my medical complications.

I also told them I had a clean immigration record. I had previously held over 10 U.S. visas. I had studied in the U.S., and I even once had a work permit that I never used because I wanted to return to my own country. I also mentioned that I had several UK and Canadian visas, as well as visas from other countries.

I explained how the ban had affected my career because many of my professional trainings require international travel, and I would have to declare the ban when applying for visas. I told them that my goal was not necessarily to obtain a U.S. visa , i simply wanted the ban removed so I could move forward with my life and career.

A few days later, I received an email saying that the ban had been removed from my record. They explained that the reason they reversed the decision was because they found evidence that I had indeed sent a letter of intent to the embassy. However, the embassy had provided me with incorrect information at the time. They said I should have been told that giving birth in the U.S. on a B1/B2 visa was not permitted. Because of this, they decided to remove the ban.

I was completely shocked.

I’m grateful that I listened to the people on this platform years ago who insisted that I send a letter of intent to the embassy. That single step ended up saving my case.

I don’t know how this story might help someone else, but this was my experience.
It will definitely help a lot of people, credit to you for not giving up.
