NOMENCLATURE OF THE NATURAL KEYS... Again the Natural keys are A B C D E F G. They are represented by the WHITE KEYS of the keyboard. We'll define the landmark keys first, that is the keys of 'special' reference. 1. Key C. This is often erroneously described as the first key on the piano keyboard. As true as it is sometimes, it isn't. A more appropriate description would be, any white key before the group of two blacks is Key C. For some keyboards, C is the first key on the instrument, but this is not a musical convention. So, whenever you see a "white key" before the group of two blacks, then that "white key" that just precedes the two blacks is C... |

The Natural keys. In Pianoforte all white keys are referred to as NATURAL KEYS. Remember there are 12 keys in music, and of these 7 are Natural keys, that is "7 white keys". Nomenclature. The Natural keys(also musical notes) are named after the first seven letters of the English Alphabets: A B C D E F G. Up next: nomenclature of Natural keys. |
LESSON 1.1 ANATOMY OF PIANO KEYS. There are twelve(12) keys in all music, these keys are further classified into two folds(types): 1. The Natural keys. 2. The Sharp/Flat keys. This keys' classification is not the same as the classification into Major & Minor keys(according to Major/Minor keys' classification, there are 15 Major keys & 15 Minor keys, that'll be discussed much later). Now in Pianoforte Natural keys, Sharps/Flat keys, are all defined by their "colours", the Natural keys are the white keys of the keyboard. MCSNUP TEACHES PIANOFORTE "... It's easy to play any musical instruments: all you have to do is touch the right key at the right time and the instrument will play itself..." - J. S Bach. I've decided to extend some of the excerpts from my sessions on whatsapp for those on NL who might find it helpful... I'll be starting from the introduction, the very beginning of learning to play the instrument (piano/keyboard), thereafter every thing will go a step at a time... But first... A sorta orientation... You should have at least a dummy keyboard to get the best of these sessions. A dummy keyboard may be constructed with a sheet of paper, a card board or any suitable platform for drawing the piano keys... From time to time I'll upload images, from dummies to illustrate an exercise(s). Also, you should decide to commit at least 20 minutes daily to practice the lessons and exercises that would be assigned you in this forum... Next... You're permitted to ask questions at any point in time, however as much as possible keep the questions relevant to the topic/lesson in discussion... Of course... I Would Nigerians were one bit half this impatient with the PDP... Or they were? Nah... I don't think so... Unless the 16 years of PDP leadership was a haven for the country, otherwise, this comparism of both political parties wouldn't be in any sense "poetic justice"... Yes, of course with the change in political power comes a natural tendency to expect something magical... Especially when political promises were in any way at all "rumored", however, we shouldn't be taken by any mortals promise, for the best of men are men at their very best.... But right now, the most important persons to consider in Nigeria, isn't those past, nor those present but those to come- our children. And unless everyone, in their various ways and capacities begin to work at building at least an earthly home for our children, a true Nation where our children can live in, without thinking they're of: East, West, North, South... A nation that's truly BOUND IN FREEDOM, unless we labor patiently on behalf of tomorrow (the future), all our short term complaints or solutions would only move the day of trouble to our children's days and make the fighters to become our beloved children... The overall arguments always seem to be with the immediate in view... But I think that those who were hitherto patient with a system that brought us to this unthinkable ebb, have within them, the capacity to endure, especially if the desired change wouldn't just fix today, but would ensure our children, yes the future, finds solace, to make sure our kids would never have to use four years of governance to right the wrongs of their "heroes past" or to fight the corrupt legacies of their fathers... If preparing a true home for our children, a Nation with core virtues as values, if that is what this Government succeeds at believe me, it surely lived up to its potential... Or nay, beyond it.... #God Bless Nigeria (#GBN). |

Islam yes is a religion of strategy and forceful conversion with the sword of violence! But Islam is not the greatest threat to the gospel of Christ, neither is President Buhari, nor Governor El Rufai. Until we understand the key ploy of the god of this world, we'll keep chasing the shadows, the pawns, the sheer distractions. We must preach the gospel, especially to the lost, to the Muslims as well. Unfortunately, a Christianity which is none at all has manufactured a false gospel which is none at all, and any convert to this false gospel is by default ill equipped to wage true "Christian warfare" which is the diametric opposite of the way Islam and other religions of this world wages her war! Yes, we pray and will work towards peace in the land, because that would surely afford greater opportunities to preach the gospel, but foremostly, we must know what the gospel is, preach it and represent it entirely! How much I would we would be stirred up towards True gospel missions projects to the northern parts of Nigeria. We do not need church buildings to have fellowships, we do not need open air preaching to witness effectively, we do not need even so much of television or radio, we need more than anything TRANSFORMED LIVES LIVING IN SECULAR SOCIETY! Nothing, no power of hell, no force of Islam can stop those who have been washed by the blood of the lamb and are true to that testimony in their day to day conduct... I share the sentiments of any other concerned believer in Christ, but dear friends our lives better start becoming the epistle, the Bible that the world reads... 2 Cor 10:3-6 I LOVE THE LORD. |

LTB TODAY. MAXIMIZING TIME 2 practical considerations 1. "...For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? " - Lk. 14:28. Perhaps the most singular reason for extreme lethargy among converts to Christianity lies here, the altar call is answered without the cost of discipleship counted by the convert, the convert, then afterwards, begins to be taught the cost of discipleship. But wait a minute, that sounds fraudulent doesn't it? You get me to answer a call, and afterwards begin to tell me the consequences, the pros and cons of my decision? Isn't that like getting me to buy a product before I knew what the penalty of my decision to buy the product could be? Now, this is a matter of grave consequences! The most important decision in life, is not the decision to get into college or university, it's not the decision of the course to study, it is also not the decision of whom to marry, as important as those could be, the most important decision in life is the decision to follow the Lord Jesus Christ. And how terrible, the way we order our priorities, a student should have to go through a brochure, investigating carefully, whether or not he's got the credentials and resources to pursue a university course of study, couples on the average take a minimum 6 months, for courtship, not taking into account the periods for the so called dating; in the case of a building, even the building plan has to be drawn to specifications with every details treated as extremely important, however the one most important moment of any man's life, the one business that ought to be given the most of thoughtfulness, is encouraged to happen even without one moment of thinking. And the results? So obvious, a Christianity which is non at all!!! It is here that our attitude to maximizing time gets definition. The man who wants to build, even considers how long(time) would be required to complete the building. When I prepared for Jamb, one of the first things I sought was how many years would be required to complete my course of choice, it was extremely important. That is called counting the cost. I remember not wanting to go for any course that would require anything over 4 years, and at times I kinda wish I stuck to that plan. In maximizing the time, it's very important and quite necessary to begin one's walk with the Lord by costing, having known and understood what would be required, then our first maximum use of time would be actually, to sit down and conclude on our readiness to follow hard after the Lord. Such considerations usually births a "plan", a strategy, a foundation on which several other plans emanates from, take Hudson Taylor for instance, his decision to follow hard after the Lord was what led him to studying medicine, because he knew from early enough that in Time the Lord would require that skill for the China Inland Missions Project. This is not necessarily to say that, we ought to perhaps quit what we found ourselves in, since it wasn't part of a "following hard after the Lord's plan", no! Rather it means understanding that even those aspects of our lives now belongs to the Lord, and as such begin to strategize, plan, how to make the most of that even for the "pursuit of God" who allowed us into such venture in the first place. This is said to be "walking circumspectly in wisdom" (cf. Eph. 5:15). Seeking first the kingdom of God, is not spending one's whole times in some assembly meetings, but driving the kingdom of God right into the center of our hearts(making it the goal of every plan/strategy/pursuit) , right into the center of our activities on the clock(every second), so much that even our relaxation and rest, becomes of and for the kingdom of God. Where ALL actions and activities is for one singular goal (God's Kingdom), then what remains of us, is not, the "sacredifying" of any act, but classifying the priority at each moment. However, we must carefully each man, be on guard, lest we loose sight of the goal. The cares of this world and the decietfulness of riches, is a great snare. To be cont'd. LTB. |
ENTREPRENEURS Mcsnup PERFECT On January 1, everyone welcomes the new year with a celebration, we welcome it with the sense of responsibility. The previous year ended with a break for all workers, we knew December was no break at all, just when to get consumed with fine tuning the new year's strategies. We planned at December yet still planning by March, For us work is in season and out of season, cos every moment we meet our newest variables. Entrepreneurs, always shedding a tear, with no one there to wipe their eyes, cos the only thing men see are their smiles. When their work suffers a setback, their only blames are themselves, they act in control, even when their next meal is uncertain, who cares? After all we're business men. Clients see us as greedy, staff see us as stingy, the enterprise thinks we're lethargic, yet our quest is to satisfy all. Friends await our weddings, Family thinks we're getting old, everyone looks forward to a party, nada guessing what sleeplessness we enjoy. The burden of society is 'pon us, we never dare to remorse, our idleness is mind-toil, one minute of pleasure is lament. Entrepreneurs! Our sleep at night is brain storm, our walk on the road is Ad scout, we're mad men playing office on main roads, chatting up clients on sick beds, we escape death by the whiskers. Streeters, we dream of our own board, see our present allies as potential board members, until, until... Until one by one they bow out, and here we are, solo again. Entrepreneurs, never heard of one who begun not in the streets thus I call them Streeters. The only ones to drop out, yet pretend it never hurts them, they attempt Jamb like 7 years, yet train students to pass Jamb. Their depression, is shut in, even when they close 'pon a deal. One day they think it's all coming close, when one, two, three nay four address them as Boss. We climb, the figure climbs, we enjoy the euphoria but for the little while it'll last, Boss, they call but we're shy to Boss! Always planning, always projecting, always strategizing, only to close the planner and fall back to contingencies, nay, to improvisation. Entrepreneurs, got no opening nor closing time for work. We work at night and doze at day, sleep not cos we want to but since we need to. Entrepreneurs! Adapting to varieties, cos there's none to deputize. Just when they're Adapting to office life, a buddy resigns and they adapt to the streets again. Entrepreneurs the least to complain, about government policies and banks surcharges. Their only news is think the way out. Their suit is reserved for business appointments, and their shoes and looks' are just an act. Entrepreneurs, What's more to say... Hmmmmm... PEACE TO ALL IN DA STRUGGLE. |

Greetings from ReHearsal House Nigeria. Benefits of Music & Movement. (Nation building through music) Today we know more about how children learn and grow than ever before. Today we have data to confirm our hunch that "Music is vital to life." Read what experts in their fields think about the benefits of music and movement: "Music brings people together. Through music, children take an inner experience and move it into a shared creative experience. Group music-making releases energy which can be channeled in creative, productive directions. Children learn about themselves and others by playing music together and by listening to each other — tapping into hidden courage that can be played out by singing together or discovering the inner resources to listen quietly to another child's playing." Judi Bosco Board Certified Music Therapist "Resiliency — to bounce back after a disturbing event — is not something we are born with; it must be learned and sometimes that takes many years. There is no vehicle more joyful and playful for providing such training than early childhood music and movement." Dee Joy Coulter, Ed.D. Neuroscience Educator "A rich voice opens the ear and gives energy to the nervous system. Not only does it help children process and memorize the message, but it also increases their desire to listen more, learn more, and know more. A good voice fills the cognitive and emotional brain." Paul Madaule Founder and Director The Listening Centre "Speech and music have a number of shared processing systems. Musical experiences which enhance processing can therefore impact on the perception of language which in turn impacts on learning to read ." Susan Hallam Institute of Education University of London Noted author and neuroscience educator Jane Healy speaks about children whose parents have chosen more "academic" pursuits for their children: "Studies show that 4-, 5-, and 6-year-olds in heavily "academic" classes tend to become less creative and more anxious - without gaining significant advantages over their peers." A 2007 poll found that 88% of all post-graduate students in college and 83% of all people earning $150,000 or more had extensive music training. Poll, November 14, 2007 Reuters, Ltd. Why Music and Movement are Vital for Children: Peanut butter and jelly, socks and shoes, bats and balls, hide and seek, music and children — are all elements of childhood. Children are naturally interested in music, and music is naturally good for children. Why is music so attractive to children and why is music so well suited to children? • Music is a language, and children are oriented toward learning language. • Music evokes movement, and children delight in and require movement for their development and growth. • Music engages the brain while stimulating neural pathways associated with such higher forms of intelligence as abstract thinking, empathy, and mathematics. • Music's melodic and rhythmic patterns provide exercise for the brain and help develop memory. Who among us learned the ABC's without the ABC song? • Music is an aural art and young children are aural learners. Since ears are fully mature before birth, infants begin learning from the sounds of their environment before birth. • Music is perfectly designed for training children's listening skills. Good listening skills and school achievement go hand in hand. • Developmentally appropriate music activities involve the whole child-the child's desire for language, the body's urge to move, the brain's attention to patterns, the ear's lead in initiating communication, the voice's response to sounds, as well as the eye-hand coordination associated with playing musical instruments. • Music is a creative experience which involves expression of feelings. Children often do not have the words to express themselves and need positive ways to release their emotions. • Music transmits culture and is an avenue by which beloved songs, rhymes, and dances can be passed down from one generation to another. • Music is a social activity which involves family and community participation. Children love to sing and dance at home, school, and at church. As published in Early Childhood Connections. "we hold that music is the most sublime arrangements of sounds in a manner that pleases the ears, entertains by MUSE, feeds love, feeds the soul and glorifies God." -ReHearsal House philosophy of music. JUST WORDS WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO THE GOSPEL Perhaps the most tragic occurrence today is the betrayal of the gospel at least that is my perspective as I view the scene. This betrayal started with a gradual but continuous redefinition of the gospel of Christ, into a pseudo-gospel which will prove presentable to the world, someone once counselled, "let us beware lest in our zeal to present the gospel to the world, we manufacture another gospel which is presentable to the world." We do well to heed such caution. This redefinition of the gospel of Christ (which alone is the power of God unto salvation –Rom 1:16) has brought about confusion over whom a Christian is, take for instance the following statistics; about one person in every four throughout the world is Christian…” this certainly includes Catholics, protestants, Jehovah’s witnesses, Mormons, Pentecostals, etc. in fact any person who fills Christianity in the religion column of a form is said to be a Christian. Little wonder some describe the crusades as proof of Christian violence whereas it is actually a proof of the violence in a corrupt Roman Catholic Papacy! The most reliable reference point in defining the life and teaching of Christians is the founder of the Christian faith- Jesus Christ. Christ’s words clearly show that for Christians this world is no home; “my kingdom is not of this world....’’ he told Pilate. (Jn. 18:36); He commands his followers to: ‘’love their enemies (matt 5:44); never pay evil for evil (5: 39) and rebukes peter for daring to fight against his enemies (Jn. 18:11; Matt 26:52). This is the teaching of Christ, doing otherwise in the guise of Christianity is an attempt to scandalize that beautiful way of unconditional love. The confusion today is not only from outside the professing church but also from within it. It is however more disturbing if any bible believing (true) Christian is not sure about the gospel message, or worse still what the bible teaches. When contradictions are viewed as mere ‘’another interpretation of God’s truth,’’ one ponders in sheer horror. Two opposing opinions cannot both be right, one is either right and the other wrong or both wrong! The chances are both cannot be right. Nevertheless, there is a grave pretence that contradictions could be in harmony! The recent Research among united state evangelicals; about Jesus being the only way to God is an example. About fifty seven percent said Jesus is not the only way to God. Now if Jesus is not the only way to God then all who believe he is, are in gross error, but if he is, then the fifty-seven percent are in error- the chances are both cannot be right , it would be a denial of truth to pretend both are right. The Ecumenical movement is another such example. It aims to ‘unite everything called ‘church’ even at the expense of the basic doctrines of Christianity. Christ’s prayer in john 17 must be read in context: ‘’ Sanctify them by the truth your word is truth....that all of them may be one....’’ (17:17, 21). Only those sanctified by the truth can be in true Christian unity; however the advocates of ecumenism probably fail to recognise the obviously irreconcilable differences in their beliefs. How, for instance, do protestants (Evangelicals), whose doctrine on salvation is grace through faith alone (without works), ‘Unite’ with roman catholics whose official church doctrine (as regards to salvation) is: ‘’ if anyone says that the sacraments of the new law (of the roman catholic church) are not necessary for salvation but....without them... men obtain from God through faith alone the grace of justification..... Let him be anathema’’ (eternally condemned)? Simply there seem to be confusion about whom a Christian is! The fact that many professing Christians are front liners in the ecumenical movement and that in the US about fifty-seven percent of evangelicals believe Jesus Christ is not the only way to God, confirms the confusion about whom a Christian is. Although mere profession is not enough, so that even if we assumed many more folks professed Christ as the only way to God, that still would mean quite little. We are told that in the last days, there would be some: ‘’ (holding to) having the form of godliness but denying the power thereof....’’ (2Tim3:5); this means making claims to godliness at best by the lips, not living (in the daily application) a life that is consistent with one’s claims. Thus a mere profession is not enough nor is it so important an issue. Take for example the common expression; ‘’Jesus is lord’’ then try finding evidence for the lordship [total control and ownership] of Christ in the daily lives of the many who make such claims, the reality becomes obvious-mere profession of a life that is scarcely sought. The consequence of redefining the gospel is: no gospel at all. Some would be surprised for instance to hear that the gospel message is not a promise of health and wealth (prosperity)! Paul in the epistle to the Galatians says it is the gospel or no gospel at all, any different gospel other than the one preached is simply: ‘’no gospel at all: regardless of who preached it (Gal. 1;6-9). There was only one sentence to anyone who brought false gospel – ‘’let him be ACCURSED. (Greek –anathema: eternally condemned) [vs.9]; to the Corinthians he said; ‘’for i resolved to know nothing while i was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified’’ [1 cor.2:2 emphases added]. However, in our day there has risen that different gospel which is no gospel at all, it popularizes the message and promises fun: such message lies in the eloquence and superior wisdom’ of men, which Paul in his days would not dare implore as he proclaimed God’s testimony. (Cf. 1cor. 2:1). This different gospel presents Christ as mere Santa clause that is ever ready to distribute unsatisfying gifts to ever chattering kids at their every single demand, even satisfying their lusts (appetites). Sold to that deceptive ‘’speak it and claim it’’ false (prosperity) gospel such group distort scripture reading their’ greed into the creed’, redefining faith to mean not a relationship with God with absolute trust and confidence in his word –will, wisdom and sovereign decision; but a magical wand’ by which God is compelled to act on behalf of man (the user).[in some extremes Christians and non-Christian may use this ‘faith-force’ at worse it is occultism disguised as basic Christian teaching, not to be questioned. On the other hand , suffering and persecution (those glorious partners of the Christian life) which are fundamental Christian teachings are fought against with the armoury of magnificent edifices, programs and promo’s and made to seem like an old- enough deceptive work ( of Satan) whose time is due! Many would think it strange today to see that the bible actually teaches that: ‘’.....no one who has left home or brother or sister or mother or father or children or field for me (Jesus Christ )and the gospel will fail to receive hundred time as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and field-and with PERSECUTION).....’ In fact everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted’...’do not be surprised at the trials you are suffering as though something strange were happening to you........ ‘’ [MK. 10:29, 30; 2Tim.3:12; 1Pt. 4:12], suffering and persecutions are part of the Christian experience, Why would Paul say. ‘..... I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardship are facing me....’’ (Acts 20:23), how come the preaching of the gospel brought him chains and suffering (2 Tim. 2:8-10)? The same things today’s prosperity preachers forbid for saints! What a sharp contrast! Paul preaching was in contrast with the world, thus they could not but persecute him. Today’s prosperity gospel however preaches similarities not contrast, the sinner is not told to forsake the world or self but to ‘claim it’ and he is assured that was why Christ came to die- to make him (the ‘convert’) the ruler of this world. [a position ‘ironically’ occupied by Satan- Jn 12:31; 14:30; 2 Cor. 4:4; Eph. 2:2]. Sadly this Christianity which is none at all is subtle and deceptive! It uses the Bible and it’s language, so much that the unsuspecting church is gladly opening her arms to embrace this so-called new-revelations, as brought by alleged ‘anointed-leaders’ (modern-day prophets and apostles’ so to say ‘God’s spokesmen’). The saint should remember Christ’s warning against religious deception which if possible ‘’could deceive the very elect’’ (Matt. 24:24) we do well to heed his caution (vs. 25). James brother Jude wrote: ‘’... contend (earnestly) for the faith that was once for all (delivered) entrusted to the saint’’ (Jude 3), how can we find and know this faith delivered to the saints? By the Holy Spirit and through the Holy Scriptures. In this faith, (truths of the gospel) is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes (Rom. 1:16) it distinguishes Christianity as the only ‘religion’ that offers salvation freely-by Grace (undeserved favour and strictly Grace through faith alone!). This is in contrast with any other religion where salvation is earned through works (‘good’ works) more appropriately called. ‘’dead works.’’ This works salvation is the fundamental teaching of every false religious groups. When some of these group claim salvation is by grace, it is not without works, it is never faith alone as taught throughout the Bible. (Eph. 2:8,9; Rom. 4:4,5).The Bible declares salvation is by grace through faith not of works! It begins with the conviction of sin, the sinner must first be convicted- he must find himself guilty, i.e. that he is whom he is- a poor unworthy sinner deserving death: ‘’for the wages of sin is death......’’ (Rom6:23). This understanding stirs up a desired solution which cannot come from the observance of the law or good works, for none of his could pay the penalty due man. (Rom. 3:20; Eph. 2:8,9). A million church attendance and sacrament made to whoever will not substitute for: ‘’the wages of sin is death’’; what if one promises to never break the law again? That would only be doing what the law requires, it never makes up for the fact that the law has already been broken: ‘’for through the disobedience and condemnation of one man all men were made sinner and thus condemned’’ (Rom. 5:17, 18). Some folks think, since they are ‘good’ guys having a morally good upbringing then they are not sinners; not so, for sin is not only the violation of God’s law, but also the failure to reach his perfect standard! We not only broke his law, but we also fail to reach his righteous and perfect standards. But who can ever reach his perfect standard? That was why he sent his only begotten son, who lived a perfect and sinless life, thus met God's standard, for he was ‘’tempted in every way just as we are- yet was without sin. ‘’(Heb. 4:15). How does the life live by Christ make up for God's standard which we could not reach (live)? The bible tells us: ‘’ that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ not counting men’s sin against them.. .’’(2Cor. 5:19), how? By making ‘’him (Christ) who had no sin, to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. ‘’ (2Cor. 5:21) Nothing would pay for the death penalty due all men: ‘’for all have sinned.... ‘’ (Rom. 3:23). Man's lost condition prompted the coming, suffering and death of Christ; someone had to live a sinless life then die, and none other would be fit for this sacrifice except God’s only son, born of a virgin. WHY? So that his righteous life can be imputed on anyone and everyone who simply: ‘’believe in his heart.... ‘’(Rom. 10:9). This is justification, and only convicted sinners who believe and trusts in Christ alone for the salvation of their souls, would be justified! For ‘’however, to the man who does not work but trust in God who justifies the wicked [ungodly] his faith is credited as righteousness’’ (Rom. 4:5). How does God look down on unworthy sinners and offer them forgiveness just by believing, why would he do that? He does it because of love! ‘’for God so loved the world’’... (Jn. 3:16) and he does it by his mercy [not giving us what we deserve] and grace [given us what we don’t deserve –pardon and eternal life], that is exactly what happened to us as Christ breathed his last on that rugged cross of Calvary! No other religion offers salvation this way another proof authenticating Christianity and the bible, as any sincere conscience may want to admit The gospel is about Christ and his finished work on the cross, the deliverance from sin, death and judgement. He obtained this for us by his death on the cross. Anyone who would follow Christ simply need to believe in the gospel [the lord jesus Christ] and he would be saved. The saved soul has repented from his old ways: ‘’he is dead to sin, the world and self ‘’(Rom. 6:11; Gal. 2:20 ): this means that he must forsake his old ways (life) and its pursuit- self-interest, desire, ambition and the like [see Gal. 5:19-21]; he does this by the indwelling Holy spirit who lives in him. This blessed-poor in spirit lives to die daily, he has forsaken the world, thus his pursuit and desire is not this world and all it has to offer, he is not earthly- minded neither does he seek to store up treasure on the earth, his one pursuit is his lord and his kingdom. (Matt. 6:33; Col. 3:1), he understands that accepting Christ as lord means losing all things including his life, and this he does willingly, forsaking all things which would have been dearest to him. This unworthy servant understands he has only done his duty as he bears his cross daily! His heart is filled with unquenchable hunger and thirst for his lord, which is birth in him as he gladly submits to his Lord, thus he seeks to be in consistent fellowship with his lord. This life is not an improved old life, but a living sacrifice. (see Rom. 12:1). Yes he is in a fight to do the will of his lord and finds his victory in Christ alone (see Rom. 7); his desire is not to get ‘gifts; take over kingdoms and so on, but to please his Lord, pursuing the will of his father, he willingly and gladly suffers loss for this course. He is one in spirit with other believers and followers of his lord –he is a Christian, a member of the church- Christ’s body, forever united, by the bond of the Holy Spirit. To him bible studying and prayer ought not to be a religious routine but a matter of passion, the Holy Spirit births his twin work of regeneration and sanctification in his life, as evidenced by the blessed fruit of the Holy Spirit [love, joy, patience, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. (Gal. 5:22)], thus he EARNESTLY AWAITS his lord who comes quickly to reward him! Any other gospel which offers an improved old life; that ‘gospel ‘of dead works- sacraments, penance, church rituals of mass and Eucharist is no gospel at all, that ‘gospel’ which turns God’s grace into a license for sin is not only false but it is no gospel at all; that teaching which places God at the disposal of man –which sees God as one who is always at the beck and call of man, giving him whatever he demands, desires or wants, is no gospel at all! When Christ said ‘’in my name would be given to you.....,’’ he said ‘’in my name’’, that is to ask as he would, ‘’for his (Christ’s) goals and glory not our own’’ the Christian seeks his lord not himself- the life he lives is that of his lord, and he lives unto his lord! And his sole concern is his master’s interest! I implore all readers to scrutinize this work carefully, and if it is not in harmony with the teaching and life of Christ and his Apostles, as revealed to us in the holy scriptures (Bible) then let it be totally rejected and discarded, however, if upon your search you find it in concord with the Book of the lord, then i beseech you to take heed to those wonderful words of Christ. |
It'll take quite a lot and this from intelligent and virtues persons, to undo the rot that took so many years to build... Truth is, this is the most unpleasant time to be the president of Nigeria... These things don't just happen, every efforts, will meet their counters and opposition... The change Nigerians crave could only happen speedily if a good number of the populace, begin to redefine virtually everything, or should I say almost everything... Perhaps starting with Education, Education has to be rightly defined and made distinct from schooling, not by the Constitution of Course, by Homes. Success & wealth has to be defined as having the least needs & not as having the most possession for instance. |

LTB TODAY MAXIMIZING TIME 1. "... Make the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil... " - Ephesians 5:16 The worst use of time, is spending it so diligently, doing something very well which has no value soever for and in eternity. This position is not an attempt to support the sacred-secular antithesis, on the contrary, if there ever was a diametric opposition to the sacred-secular antithesis, it would be this. For there is only one way possible to maximize fleeting time, and that is to rather than live a divided life, sum up all aspects of life into one, and live a unified life. By living a unified life, we mean simply "do not divide your life or time into the secular time for "yourself" and the sacred time for "the Lord", rather sum up everything about your life and make it the Lord's. This is the only sure way to maximize time, for then all we do even eating and drinking, would be done as unto the Lord (1 Cor 10:31), for there's nothing that cannot be done as unto the Lord, and whatsoever cannot proudly be done as unto the Lord, is shameful and deserves not to be done at all, for such is sin. However, if eating and drinking, such bodily cares which according to Tozer, we share in common with the beast (animals) that perish, could be done as unto the Lord? Then we see, the only thing that may never be elevated up to the level of sacredness is Sin and whatsoever thing that is sinful. Thus anything that may not be worth doing unto the Lord, is not worth doing at all, in the first place. And everything that is worthy of time is best worthwhile done unto the Lord. How does this work? A couple of ways, again it begins from our hearts, let the Lord God be the motive to any and every thought, idea, desire, pursuit. Immediately, that thought, desire, idea, becomes holy, sacred unto the Lord. For holiness is of the Lord, it is the Lord that makes Holy. There are no holy days, no holy places, no holy individuals, without the Lord. If a man consecrates his home to the Lord, and the Lord sanctifies it, then that house becomes a holy place. It is not were two or three are gathered that defines a church for instance, but where two or three are gathered IN THE LORD'S NAME. That is the only way it works, our entirety can be given to the Lord, for his diverse use and purposes. And at different settings he uses what parts he chooses. Thus,it begins there, with the offering of ourselves unto the Lord, and understanding the entire implications of that transaction. It means he owns everything, our time, our money (all of it, not a sheer tithe of it), he owns everything. Of course he is a loving and caring father, who gladly even enjoins us to use even of what is his for our own pleasure (cf. Deut. 14:22-27), yes, but the beginning of it all is the heart transaction. All must be given to him for they're rightly his, or he would have none at all. So, be it our studies, our associations, our conversations, our rest or sleep, our recreations, and recreations, our jobs, everything, let us bring them up to the level of sacredness and watch the Lord maximize every second of our lives, does not the scriptures say of sleep, that the Lord gives his beloved beautiful sleep? Then why would we view any areas of our life any less. God made time, and he only controls both time and eternity, what better way to maximize time other than to have all activities done in time masterminded by the creator of Time, and that is where we would continue in the consequent parts- Practical considerations and Wisdom for the times. "Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble... " -Job 14:1. LTB. |

Let me quote me: "Tis the smallest sword there is, yet the most effectual of weapons of war, only few know the power thereof, for tis few who are master's at wielding it, I'm talking about the Pen." Anyone could choose not to hear a preacher, anyone could choose not to hear a political speech, we could all choose not to hear even the evening news, but hey, you'll just have to be deaf, not to hear a song! Regardless how junkly bad, how lyrically insane, how perverted in culture, regardless how much it promotes vanity and everything immoral, regardless how much you hate it, you just cannot resist hearing music... Because, you don't need to be the one playing it, your neighbors, the bus driver, the shop attendant, the person sitting next to you, the CD shop just near your Junction, keeps playing it; and though you hate it, you'll have to be deaf to not hear the song... I sure say I nor dey solo, in this expo. Hey, there's something to learn here, just imagine what it'll look like, if the musicals we just can't resist were purely musicals!!! Music is not "amusement" actually, music is "musement" the diametric opposite of amusement. Music, from the word MUSE suggests sublime arrangements of sounds, here I prefer the ReHearsal House Nigeria philosophy of music, I'll quote it: "ReHearsal House Nigeria holds that music is the most sublime arrangements of sounds in a manner that pleases the ears, entertains by MUSE, feeds love, feeds the soul and glorifies God." [ReHearsal House Nigeria is a research Academy of applied music, lyricology, composition and scriptwriting]. From kids at school to youths and adults everyone knows the wordless words of these heavy beat driven "amusic", i beg your pardon; but just imagine that we could just have at least a message driven musical scene... Imagine what mindsets we'll unconsciously pioneer... We could actually build a new Nigeria with music, like Plato said: "let me make the music of a nation, and I care not who makes its laws Credits: ReHearsal House Nigeria: www.rehearsalhouse..com |
