Travel › Re: Cameron: '70 Million Is Too Many. I'll Cut Immigration By 75 Per Cent' (UK) by juzme: 10:46am On Jan 12, 2010
First, I dont want to contribute to this thread because I can understand that NORDICRACE is an slowpoke and lack sensibility. All his point here is baseless. His username shows he is from scandanvian so if he lives in Uk he is an immigrant too if he dont understand the meaning of immigrant. People should ignore him or use Nigerian broken english for him. so that he will be dying if he is truly a white guy. that is by the way.
@ Debosky, you have some points and you are entitled to your opinion about cutting down immigrants in Uk. But I must differ from your points. I think the conservative just like in any other countries mostly have baseless arguments and reasoning. What are the conservatives afraid of in Uk? They cant compete with the challenges in their country? With population of about 62millions and they are frighten. That is shying away from responsibilities and unable to face challenges. USA is the biggest economy with population of about 308 millions and still can manage their country. Also, China and India are the two emerging economy in the world with population of about 1billions each.
Yes, I agree that every country should control illegal immigrants so that they can actually know the number of people in their country and also help in controlling crime rate.
@ Debosky you only mention the cons of increase in number immigrants but you failed to mention the pros. Decrease in wages is not mainly as result of increase in population of immigrant. the fact, is well managed population growth brings about growth in economy. E.g, companies cant sale if there are not people to buy hence lower wages and even unemployment. So the issue here is every countries should manage their population growth well and not only by cutting down population growth.
If population should be the problem in Uk today then, I have to agree that British were the major cause of problem in some countries e.g Nigeria. Nigeria supposes not to be one country but the British unite them together during their colony. By the way you can answer this question, why British bring people of different culture, language and ethnic background together in Nigeria?
The conservatives should wake up from the slumber and face the challenges in their country.

Vicjustice:
Well, i must be honest to say this: last Tuesday (5th January), i boarded a train from Belfast Central to Dublin Connolly, and i found my comfortable seat in the middle coach. Without bothering to look at fellow travellers, i took my seat just two rows before some guys that i paid no attention to. As the journey progressed, i didn't realise that the 2 guys (who were sitting two rows) behind me were speaking an Asian language until i heard "al'lah akbar, alla'h akbar", the guys seemed to be giving praises to Al'lah pertaining something favourable. I turned to look at the guys, they were bearded and traditionally dressed and one was carrying a sort of traditional bag similar to those of hare Krishna. Oh my goodness, I've never been so frightened before by mere thoughts of the unknown possibilities, i thought i had to run away before bomb-blast prevents me from doing so. I wanted to be a little more polite in my action, but the fear was real there and delay could be dangerous; so, i took my mobile phone out of my pocket, and by pretending that i was talking to someone else in the train, i took my hand luggage and dashed out of the endangered couch to another coach at the far rear of the train: You know, in every bomb-blast news, we hear things like 12 people killed and 99 people injured, so, i thought if there would be a bomb-blast and if i must be affected, then let be among the injured howbeit, not severely
I have similar incident in a train and I have to move away from those guys. What is different here is that my intention of moving away was to make sure that my body is recognised if anything happen. grin

What you are asking for is next to impossible.

Will you give an IV to a total stranger you meet on the net

Even friends and family are not so easily trusted not to talk of total stranger.

funny grin grin
I dont think it is impossible. There are people who may help him or her. Depends on the purpose of the trip. You need to gain confidence with the person who might help you. It doesnt necessarily mean the person that will help him will see or know him in person. Although not so easy these days. But with some luck on your side someone can offer to help. I have see in some forums where people ask for invitation and they offer to help. and also in some hospitality website people offer accomodation to people they never met.
You must assure the person that you are going back to Nigeria after your trip or holiday. I know could be very difficult to trust in this regard but yet some people's take risk.
Moreover, Invitation letter is not assurance to visa. Embassies have to investigate if you are qualified for the visa or not.
Good luck!

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: 2 Masters Degrees by juzme: 2:51pm On Mar 05, 2007
i think it is quite difficult to get a white colar job abroad if you posses a good quality. although it is quite easier in US as i have been told. You will either get jobs that you may not like in europe.
If you are seeking for employment in UN. i think you dont have to be in Nigeria to get job there. I guess UN usually post people to various countries. you can apply for their Job in the internet. there are various vacancies on different UN branch websites. so better search for it. But if i will advise you better seek for job in banks or Oil companies in Nigeria. you will stand a better advantage of getting employed in these sectors with your qualification.
Good Luck!

Hi I think the guy tht is guess about Onosen's location is wrong.  there are people who are educated in various location in western world that will like to come back to there country and work. Moreover, the western world is not as we think them to be. there are people there who are jobless and who can afford their living. the diference there is just that there are social securities that is giving to jobless people.
It does necessarily mean only people in Sudan or other poor countries that will like to come back to Nigeria and find job.
Infact, there is nothing like being in your country where you hve every freedom and no discrimination.
So Mr Onosen if you have made up your mind to come back to Nigeria (tht is if you are Nigeian) you should may secure a job in some university like th UN you mention or any other organistion. Even some oil companies in Nigeria are looking for people who studied abroad and will want to come home and work.
