Well, I agree with you that it requires one person to make a change. But in this situation some Nigerians need to change their mentality and be well informed before such changes will be done. And I have to agree with what VicJustice said here. Some people are so ignorant about the rules and regulations that govern entry or exit of a country.  I have seen a situation where an immigration officer was investigating a nigerian passport and the person was so uncooperative and very abusive to the immigration officer. He was saying that the passport belonged to him and that it is a nigerian property with all sort of nosense. He failed to understand that under international law that immigration officer has the right to check your passport and even seize the passport if it find out that the passport is fake or has been tampered with. Of course, the immigration has no choice but to handcuff the guy & sent him back to Nigeria. Also to add, placing a handcuff is never a against any law and never a big deal if officer find any reason to do so.
Also, as Vicjustice said, if the lady thinks that she has a good case then she can contact a lawyer but if not she should just forget it and carry on with her life.
Travel / Re: Her Uk Travel Woes; Any Recourse? by juzme: 3:03pm On Jun 07, 2010
It is a pathic story but the truth is that she require a visa to enter UK. And I guess if she cooperate with immigration officer things may not be that worse.
Sure, these people treat Nigerian passport holder very bad and you may not blame them for that. It still boiled down to our image which is battered. We all one way or the other suffer similar situation abroad in the hands of immigration officers or the local authorities.
So, my advice is that she should bear whatever that have happend to her and take it in good fate. Let her forget the whole issue and carry on with her life. When time comes for her to visit Uk if they didnt ban her from visiting, she will visit.

Travel / Re: Czech/eu Work Permit Required by juzme: 1:06pm On May 27, 2010
it is your employer who will be responsible for your work permit. If they are not interested in processing that for you then dont waste your time over them. there are no short for that. And in most EU countries you can only work for the company who got the work permit from.
In order words nobody can process work permit for you. Again, dont waste your time on that.
the best thing for you is to continue to search for other jobs. who knows you can be lucky to get an offer where the employer will be ready to do the process for you.

How is life in Germany?

With what you wrote here it shows that you are not really serious about your plans in Germany. Things like trade of items such as the cars and other items is something that should be discussed in private. The reason is because if you discuss that in open board it may be misleading as some people will not understand everything in detail and go into it thereby losing their money.
Secondly, business still remain secret and should not be open. This is because of abuse of the business or stealing of stratgies.
Of course, you should be so silly as to give money to anyone just because he told you he can help you buy things from Germany. You only need to do your research very well and since you have British passport, I dont think traveling to the location of the business will be a problem.

if that is the case, the person should ring the embassy again an ask for what clearance he or she need to obtain from home office in India.
there are different kind of clearance. Ndlea, HiV, Police or criminal, tax etc
Is the person an Indian? Is the person transiting to India? What are the connections between the two?

I really need to move out very soon coz the economy is real bad, thanks once again 4 your speedy response

I will suggest that you move to Denmark with your spouse. You and your spouse may have a better opportunity there than Sweden and Finland. Norway could have been better for you but unfortunately they still apply restriction on the movement of Bulgaria citizen. Of course, Finland and Sweden are nice country too but your wife is likely not to find job so soon due to language barrier. And for you to be officialy registered in any of those countries your wife must be exercising her EU treaty Rights.
Travel / Re: Will I Be Refused Entry To Uk by juzme: 11:29pm On Apr 07, 2010
Huh! very bad you submitted fake bank statement. shocked shocked
Well, since you are married to EU national it doesn't count much of what you did in the past. You can only be refuse entry on ground of public policy and/or if you marriage is that of convenience. Even if you were banned from entry you uk. It does count any more.
Also, since you have Eu passport which entitle you free entry to Uk, you can go to Uk anytime you wish. You are not only allowed to work except you posses valid UK work permit. And I think this is only for a temporarily period of time. You can only apply for UK work permit only for once.
But if you are using Nigeria passport, you may face some difficulties in entry UK as your wife need to be exercising her EU treaty right before you can accompany her to UK. I think it is only UK that adopt this kind of measure. Nevertheless, you can still accompany her to UK if she is qualify and have a good chance of getting a job in UK.
So cheers! You don't have any problem here.

Pls educate me I have never heard of home offices approving IV in American? if I'm not mistaking that might be a UK thingy. Besides Its not like I will be filing for him to come here, so where does the home office approval fit in??
While I agree with you that invitations are no guarantee for visa issuance rather applicants must prove their purpose of intent and scale through other requirements of the embassy.
I m sure the poster is aware of this!!!

You didnt read my post very well. What I mean was that since US invitation is not approved from home office it is more likely that he may not know where the iv is coming from. I can explain to you in another way. If US invitation are approved by home office the chances of geting fake Iv is slime.
Travel / Re: Can Anyone Help With An Invitation For USA? by juzme: 12:48pm On Mar 30, 2010
As far as USA & UK are concern invitation letter don't play much roles for visiting visa. What is very important is your ties in your country of origin. That your friends didn't get their visa does not mean you wont get if you are qualified for the visiting visa.
As have been advised, don't waste your time & money on invitation. There is no guarantee that you will get the visa if you obtain invitation. And for your information it is even more risky trying to use invitation you don't know the source and once you are denied visa on that you will be unlikely to obtain US visa in the nearest future. Mind you most invitation from US are not approved by their home office, so you may not know genuine IV
best of luck.

I have to disagree with this reference to google each time someone ask for information on particular subject.
First not everyone that use internet knows how to go about searching for informaton on the web.
Second, There are so many information on the web. Some are accurate while some are not. Some are confusing and contradicting while some are not.
Third, sometimes there are no enough info on the particular subject you are looking for.
fourth, There sometimes update and change in a particular info which are not really updated on the website.
With the aboved reasons someone might what to get a real info from people that has practical experience on that subject.
Therefore, I think it will be good if we do help provide accurate and proper info when we have them, which is what Forums are all about.
As for the OP, I hope people who have the info will supply you with that.
Travel / Re: Please Help Me Find My Nigerian Father 'ken Sijuade' by juzme: 10:22am On Mar 06, 2010
To add from what people have said here. I will suggested you make a trip to Nigeria and contact any credible media. I have seen in the past too how successfully some people located their father from Nigeria through the help of Media e.g NTA.
You should have all the necessarily information that can help. for instance, the name of your mother, mother's sisters and brothers (if any), the city you father met your mother and where they lived. More information about your mother will as well help to locate your father. Since you said he studied in UK, I don't think he should be that primitive not to be listening to News. Of course, the name you have, (Ken= kehinde, kenneth etc) could only be shorten by your father to avoid difficulties in pronoucing his name while in UK. Again, much people in ife may have the same surname. But I believe with much information from your mother's side and also from your father will help .
It is quite unfortunate that most people from the western don't really care about who their partner's families are. It is hard for them to ask you about who your relatives are.
Of course, you need also to be careful as some people mentioned but I believe at this technology age you can't be so ignorant not use the available techniques in finding who your real father is. And of course you cant give out money just because someone say I can help you locate your father. I believe this should be voluntary even when you involve media. they should be able to volunteer in searching of your father.
Good Luck!

Travel / Re: Stop Binning Your Money For Uk Visas If. . . . by juzme: 11:14pm On Feb 22, 2010
Most European countries don't inform applicant that was banned from entry their country in writing. But the different between other european countries and UK is that most of other european countries accept only invitation that is approved from the ministry of Interior and in this case if you are banned from entry their country it will be difficult to get an invitation from their country. But in the case of Uk you may not need invitation that is approved from the ministry of interior or home office. So it will be very difficult to know when you are on a ban.
But as the OP said you can find out if you make inquiry from the embassy as regard to your status before you apply for a visa. It is their responsibility to inform you whether you are banned or not but not in writing.
You can pose this question to them when you call or visit them: That you have been applying for UK visa for a number of x time and your visa is constantly being refused even though you submited all the necessarily documents. that you wish to know your status as whether you are on ban or not. In this case you are entitle to know your status.
You can as well ask what you need to do in order to overturn your ban. There are always provision for that. So you can ask for the procedures.
Meanwhile, Stop using fake documents. if you procure any document from anybody, try to verify the documents before you submit to any embassy.

Travel / Re: Arrangee Marriage by juzme: 10:05am On Feb 18, 2010
Arranged marriage or call it marriage of convenience is not by any means legal. It does not matter where or when. Even in Pakistan that some people practiced arranged marriage you understand that the girl is not happy for the marriage. the Marriage is forced and is being done out of the girl's wish.
If we speak about Marriage to EU citizen, their law is totally against any Marriage of convenience or arranged marriage or forced marriage.
This is where the immigration officers are facing problem even though the law is against marriage of convenience there are no proper way to check this or prevent it from happening. Because once a marriage is done it may be difficult to deny the person visa as the law stated that you only need your marriage certificate and your passport to apply for visa and not more.
However UK and Ireland are adopting some measures to prevent that, such as provision of relationship history by the partners. And I think this is where the two guys that wanted to do the arranged marriage may have problem. Because in most case you need to show that both of you have been together for a durable period of time. the only exception are when both of you have a child together. In this case you can be together for a period of just 1 year and you wont have problem because the evidence will be there.
Of course, I agree that some or should I say most marriages are for a purpose. e.g wealth, immigration purpose, fame, beauty, family relationship etc. But with this you must still show that you are in love.
For the case of the two guys it is a clear case of marriage of convenience. the other guy that have a wife and child back home. Why not just get your degree and search for job then you can be legal in UK or even go back home and find job. Marriage is not the only means of being legal in a country. I am sure there some Nigerians in UK who live legal without being married to UK citizen.
For the girl that her visa has already expired, you have two options, one is to go back home and apply for another visa, explain to the visa officer why you overstay maybe he will understand and issue you visa. the other choice is to seek for asylum either in UK or another EU country but this option is very difficult to achieve any success because some parts Nigeria is believed to be safe to live.
Good Luck!
Travel / Re: How Do I Mend My Five Years Greece Residence In Germany by juzme: 12:17pm On Feb 12, 2010
Ukraine, Croatia and some other eastern Europe that are not a member of EU citizen require visa to visit most western Europe. In the article they are talking about New Joined EU states. e.g Bulgaria and Romania.
why I point about him lossing his residence in Greece is because he can risk going to Germany and will not have permit in Germany because his wife was unable to find job or get an EU work permit in Germany. then he may want to go back Greece which he now need to apply for another residence card. which will be determined if his wife is execercising her EU treaty right.
My Advice again is since you already have 5 years residence in Greece. It will be better for you to apply for UK Visa (EU (family permit) then both of you will move to UK if they grant you visa and search for job and I think it may be easier for her to find job in Uk and as well EU work permit than in Germany that she will require to know German or dutch Language in order t be fully employed.
Good luck!

Freiburger:

Do Eu citizens need a work permit to work in other Eu countries?
It is always a common practice to that new EU member states are subjected to transitional period and under this period they can visit other member states in search of jobs and other things. They are restricted to in some sectors of employment. Therefore, will need EU work permit to enable to work in that member state.
However, not all EU member states apply this rules to the new member state. Most of the good countries in EU states do apply some restriction on Labour market to the new EU member states until after 2 years.  Examples of countries that apply this transitional rules are Germany, Denmark, Ireland and UK.
if you read the link I gave you very well you will understand what I mean. http://ec.europa.eu/eures/main.jsp?acro=free&lang=en&countryId=DE&fromCountryId=BG&accessing=0&content=1&restrictions=1&step=2
As for your 5 years permit. It is only valid in Greece as for residence. In some countries if you become absence in that country for some certain period of time you may loose your residence.  Of course your case as spouse of EU citizen you still have right to go to Greece but they can make you reapply for your residence card if you become absence in their country for a long time.  For instance, in Uk a EU spouse of non eu national will lose his right of residence if his or her spouse lose her right of residence.
Your wife can do some kind of jobs in Germany without work permit but not a documented job. And in this case both of cannot register your right of residence in germany expect she find a job and obtain EU work permit.
Travel / Re: How Do I Mend My Five Years Greece Residence In Germany by juzme: 6:06pm On Feb 11, 2010
It is better you face the reality. In Germany it will not be easy at the moment for you to obtain residence card. This is because your wife will need to obtain a work permit in germany before she can get regisered. She need to get a job first before she cant get registered in Germany.
And you may end up losing your Residence card in Greece if you stay out of the country for a long time. You wife can benefit to EU regulation on freedom of movement only by visiting without visa and can stay up to 90 days in Germany. She can search for job as well and if she find then she can apply for work permit. It only after she has done this that you will have to register as a spouse of EU citizen.
My advise for you is that if your wife should try search for work in Germany if she find then good for both of you. But if she cannot find then, it is better you wait after Bulgaria transitional period expires which I think will be soon.

It is OK to leave your country in search of adventure , even UK citizen and Americans do it , but if your mission collapses be brave enough to accept that and return to wherever you came from else go somewhere else. Don't become the new local nuisance parasite again making  that place your new place of agony , and start another life of groaning and dishonesty because you have no job again.
You make some points here but you still failed to put into consideration some factors. It seems you are generalizing the argument. Going back home when you can't make ends meet in another country will depends on factors like, the country you are living, your home country, your social and economic status in your home country. family background and your financial status at the moment. It is only when you analyse these factors that you can decide whether to go back home or not.
You cant just ask someone to go home when his/her home country is not better and in the case of Nigeria worse.
Again, because someone could not find job for 2 years in UK or even in other countries doesn't necessarily mean he/she cannot find job later. There are some graduates in Nigeria that have no job for a period of 5 years. Infact never even have since they graduated, this people still depends on their family and friends for living.

As a spouse of EU citizen (Bulgaria) you cannot live or work in Germany without the EU citizen obtaining a work permit. Both of you can only visit Germany for a period of 3 months only.
You only ask your spouse to search for job in Germany and obtain a work permit then you can join her in Germany.
for now you can virtually do nothing without your spouse. you right to live in germany depends on her.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Are There Jobs In Uk ? by juzme: 1:40pm On Feb 08, 2010
@ Pafun, Nothing you said in this thread make any sense. there are so many issues you raised in your posts.
Lazy people: You call people lazy because you are able to get  a farm. What about those that don't have access to that.
People in UK don't want to show that things are not well with them. I.e pretend to be doing well: maybe they should say that to you so that you can hire them in your farm.
People washing corpse and whatever: People who don't have job and now eventually have corpse to wash. Wow! good luck to them. there are people who are looking for this job and cant find it.
People queuing up at UK embassy: And what is your business. You were once queued up there to  obtain your visiting visa.
My dear, you don't compare UK and Nigeria. Like Justwise said most of those guys you met that have no Job were once working.
There are no country it is easy at the moment and Nigeria is not any better even in 10 years time.
So please think before you pass judgement or you just trying to know if there are jobs in UK so that you can overstay your visiting visa.

First you have to check if Bulgaria citizens are allowed to work in Germany. If not then she need to get work permit before both of you can live and work in Germany.
Neverthlesss, you have right to visit germany with your Residence card without visa in as much as you are travelling with your spouse.
So the problem will be if she needs work permit to work in Germany then it will be somehow difficult to obtain and therefore difficult for you to settle in Germany with her.
It will be better to either wait for the transitional period of 2 years to be over then you will have right to live with her in any EU country or you can check other countries in EU that Bulgaria citizens are allowed to work.
Good luck!

NO! You cannot renew your visiting visa in France whether it expires or still valid. You can only do it in your home country or your country of residence.
The only available option for that is if you are family member of french citizen or EU citizen.

It is the same guy that said his dad sent invitation to him from France. I think he is contradicting himself and I think he may not be real as par whether it is is dad or mom that is sending invitation to him

If you want to live in France why not your dad process a temporary resident permit for you. As you claim that your dad is a french citizen.
first as Mrprsdent mentioned, if you are under 18, you are qualified to live with your dad in France i.e obtain resident permit through your dad. Which is guarantee if you can prove you are truly the son.
Second, if you are above 18 then you are qualified to obtain resident permit as a dependant family member. This also need to be proved by you and your dad.
You don't need to apply for visiting visa if you are not going to France as a visitor.
Mom is not important here again since your father is a french citizen.

If Uk succeed in cutting down African and Asia immigrants, then what about the immigrants from Eastern Europe that are member of EU. Are they going to ask them to leave too which will go against European Union law?
