I think your argument is baseless.
Can you compare these.
UK:
Area: 243,610 km2
population: 62,041,708
Mumabi:
Area: 437.71 km2
Population: 13,830,884
So your reason should not be because UK is full but rather because UK economy is in a mess at this point in time.

Mumbai is an utter shithole. India has massive problems with its infrastructure and it is currently is facing a massive problem with people defacating in the open due to lack of toilets and sanitary facilities. Do you expect us British to concrete over our landscape and turn it into some third world shitole like India just because you people want to come and live with us, I dont thinkso.

I will also add that you have not taken into consideration the landscape of Britain, England is overcrowded wiht 55 million people, scotland is bigger than england and only have 5 million people, but Scotland is mostly mountain ranges which urban devlopments cannot be built on.

We British do not one a larger population, and it is our countrey and we will do whatever and let in whoever we damn well please. You have no right to criticise or even suggest we should take more people in. Britian is not your country

Also your figures are moronic, Mumbai is a city, Britain is a country.
which means it is all about economy of UK not the population or the Area of the land that Uk occupied. Of course Uk has right to control their immigration so do other countries.

Maybe so but can you understand that their hands are tied because of the European Treaty? Banning EU citizens from coming to the UK will open a different can of worms that the government would probably not have to deal with. Fortunately for them banning non EU is less hassle and a more viable option.

Britain is an Island that cannot allow the whole world to live in its lands and operate functionally. As I said Canada is 1000 times bigger than the UK yet the their population is smaller than the UK. People should consider going there if they want to leave Nigeria. . .after all Canada is part of Queen Elizabeth's territory as well, that's if you are one the ones still stuck on 'They came to our shores and used our resources to build their country' tip. Fair enough. . .go to Canada as that is a country that was also developed by the British. Britain is FULL!

BABABABA:

thanks for your reply, i was not married in the Court, i had a traditional marraige, pls read the message agian,

You will need to provide a document proving that you are free to marry and that you never been married or that you are divorced. And in this case if you are to obtain this document from an embassy or any office back in Nigeria, you still need to prove to them that you are divorced.
Although, I am not fully sure of this but I think Nigeria government recognised traditonal marriage which of course you need to register in your local government. Then you must provide a certficate of divorce to any Nigeria authority before they should issue certificate of no impediment to you.
Also, I must say that if HO is aware that you are married before, they will make sure that you provide all the necessarily documents that prove that you are legally divorced. It does not matter if it was traditional marriage. But I am sure if it is to be them that need the marriage certificate they will not recognise it.
Travel / Re: Please Help Me: Which City In Uk Life Is Easy For A New Comer And Also Job Oppor by juzme: 8:19pm On Dec 27, 2010
Finding job in Uk is smiliar to finding job in other western countries. which are mainly done by searching for job post online and apply for it. Even some registered job agents will still require you to apply for any vacant positiion through their online job bank. Therefore, you dont really need anyone's help in this regard. you may only ask people the best websites to search for job.
The city to move to depends on your current financial condition or the people you know around the city who may be willingly to help you with things like accomodation and others.
Sometimes, it helps by applying for job posts from your current country you are living before you move and the cities you have most response are what you may be considering to be living in. You may as well be lucky to have interview date before you move to the city.
Best of luck!
Travel / Re: Nigerian Citizenship: ? by juzme: 1:03pm On Dec 18, 2010
If you and your Nigerian citizen partner are not residing in Nigeria then, it will not be possible for you to obtain Nigerian citizenship and you have to reside in Nigeria for a number of years before you can get Nigeria citizenship. Also, you have to have intention of residing in Nigeria with your spouse before you may obtain Nigerian residence permit.
It is not that simple as some people stated here, it is almost similar process as to other countries.
Good luck!

Guys are just been funny here, though my purpose of visitation to Iran was cancelled for some official reasons but i have colleagues working there for the past 4 years i mean Nigerian mates, though most times they spend their weekends in Dubai.

If you have intention of visiting western countries in future, it may be advisable you avoid visiting Iran and Yemen. This could count against you in obtaining visa to western countries or being seriously scrutinzed at port entry in any western countries you intend to enter. Even when your company want to send you in those countries you have to weigh the pros and cons before accepting to go there.

This should be your personal decision anyway but I think like many have said here it is a waste of time if you dont intend living in Nigerian for the next 5 - 10years.
And I think even the work experience may not count abroad except you work in a foriegn company.

The initial post was very bad referenced. So you cannot actually blame anyone who do not believe in the story initially. and I think your aim of puting up the story was for people to read and be aware of what happen. You dont expect everyone to continue to research on that.
Therefore, it is better you know how to reference when you post in a public forum. The story was not yours and you failed initially to write a proper reference.
Travel / Re: SOME OF THE REASONS MOST NIGERIAN WOMEN ARE NOT IN EMPLOYMENTS ABROAD. by juzme: 11:43am On Oct 28, 2010
Well, I have to agree with you in most cases but you need to use the word Nigerian girls living in Europe or Nigerians girls abroad and not Nigerian girls. I understand you used the terms in your topic but when one read your article it will seems like it is Nigerian girls that are ugly both home and abroad. Also we should not forget that most girls in europe are mostly victim of human trafficking and some of them are uneducated. When you look at those who truly come for study or visit you will always see the different.
And their problem is that they forget they are in western world and should properly take care of themselves. they allow themselve to be overweight.
I think this is a senstive topic and but I think it is important it is discussed and that Nigerian girls abroad should know how to take care of themselves.
Your colour of skin does make you ugly rather it is how you take care of yourself.
You girls should make us proud! Let everybody see the Africa queen in you whether you are married or single. You girls are not ugly naturally, cut down on those fatty food you eat and watch your weight.
The important point here is that this may be causing problem to other nigerian living in europe in terms of job hunt. If an employer find out that in your CV you are a Nigerian, the employer may drop your Cv if the employer had come encounter with a Nigerian lady before who is overweight.

Honestly, I never wish to contribute to this thread because I dont want to encourage illegal migration. But I just consider it fit at this moment to let you know that Norway is one of the best countries in western europe and you may be making a big mistake by considering moving to other countries. Other countries that you may wish to run to may really be quite difficult to cope with nowdays.
Again, It is very rare to find any country that is very rare to illegal immigrants. You will not only be having problem with immigration officers but as well as some citizen of that country. And this is because some people are fed up with immigrants coming to take up jobs or abuse their social welfare.
Good luck in your endeavour!

False positives.

You guys should move your McAfee to the recycle bin tongue

You may be wrong here. I have run a website which I mistakely uploaded a file that is corrupt. In some computer antivirus dont usually detect it while some do. It stop happening when I removed the file that is causing the problem.
Again, noone is saying it is going to harm your system if the security warning is very low and Of course there are sometimes one may have false positive with some antivirus program.
I dont use McAfee and I am not saying it is not ok.
You may only make that statement if you are working with the Admin and you are sure that no corrupt files are uploaded.
Webmasters / Re: Why The Security Warning From McAfee? by juzme: 12:25pm On Oct 01, 2010
I had similar situation late last month. Each time I try to open travel section my antivirus program would block it. And I could only use it if I disable my firewall or websecurity which is not recommended.
It didnt happen when you open nairaland.com and perhaps other sections.
I think the problem could be either that they update travel section with a corrupt file or someone posted a corrupt file. I hope the should rescan their file before uploading to the site.

If I am not mistaking, I dont think you have anything to do with Vf global services.
Please contact Germany embassy in Nigerian to enquire about the proper procedure for student visa.
Here is the check lists for student visa
http://www.abuja.diplo.de/Vertretung/abuja/en/download/Checklist_20students_2006__10,property=Daten.pdf
Also, I think but not sure about verification of your documents. you need to ask about this, to find out if you need to verify all your documents from German Consulate General in Lagos.
http://www.abuja.diplo.de/Vertretung/abuja/en/download/Urkunden_C3_BCberpr_C3_BCfung_20engl_2007__10,property=Daten.pdf
Perhaps, people who have good knowledge about german student visa may contribute.
Good luck.
Travel / Re: Schengen Student Visa Enquiries by juzme: 12:08pm On Sep 28, 2010
You are on track.
Other things you need to do are:
1. Gather your supporting documents e.g bank statement, your previous school transcrip/results, etc
2. prepare for interview. e.g prepare to convince the consul that you are genuine student and not economic immigrant.
Goodluck

For those who dont understand what he talking about formal request letter, I got to understand it is an appointment form. That is what the german embassy in Nigerian named it.

are bulgarian citizens entitled to work in other eu countries?
I appologize, I didnt see your post earlier.
Bulgaria is regarded as the A2 and therefore are going through transitional period as member of eu. Which means some other eu countries apply some restriction on their freedom of movement. In some countries they are entitled to work immediately without the need of work permit while in some other countries in Eu they need work permit. But of course it is not a big problem for them as they dont go through the same process as those who need visa and work permit. Also, their transitional period i suppose will end by 2012.

segzeybaba:

STANDARD BULLSHIT! read paragraph 320 7B and 7C before coming here to post false statements.
1. If its just an overstay, without any circumstance to significantly frustrate UK immigration law then, that wont affect your application as stated under paragraph 320 7C of the immigration rules. So it is just an ordinary overstay, did u leave on your own accord or removed or more?

2. Spouse visa take to be between 10days to 3months, as you have overstay, it will likely take 1-3mths before your application would be completed as UK embassy will likely defer you application to the Home office for background checks.

Finally that dont mean you shouldnt make your application water-tight, maintenance and accommodation requirements must be met, evidence of communication and marriage, and all other relevant documents.

Goodluck

I disagree with you. Overstaying your visa in a country is an offence and that country can deny you visa based on that. of course depends on circumstances and this OP said for 4 months which he or she did not mention if he was sick or the reason why s/he overstayed.
And you equally contradict yourself when you said "as he have overstay" Which means it may have effect on his application.
Also, the paragraph you are mentioning here, you failed to let us know which regulation or rules is that.
Therefore, s/he should prepare to answer questions as regard to his overstay. It does not necessarily mean s/he will get ban for this but s/he may not be issued visa for the next 2 years execpt he is prepared to satisfy the consular office that his or her overstay was unavoidable.
Goodluck!

This guy has committed a which is obvious and which he personally confessed, then why will it take a long time to process his deportation order. The same goes with failed asylum seekers. It takes along time to finish their process and thereyby getting a bad name for the "good guys."

If I understand your question and comments clearly, Sometimes I felt so bad being a Nigerian. Not because of the way we are being treated but the way and manner some of our people behave abroad. Always claiming to be right even when they dont understand what the law say.
I have been in some countries and I have seen similar thing, the way your friend behaved with the taxi man. It is clearly on the meter reading that her fare is 11.00euro or whatever but she refused to pay and still claiming she was right.
And I must say the truth here, it is because of some our attitude abroad that make other foriengers to treat us in that way they do. Even the good ones has to suffer for it.
Having said this, I am still proud of being a Nigerian and i hope someday we will learn how to be a good ambassador of Nigeria.
Travel / Re: Egyptian Visa Needed Urgently by juzme: 1:15pm On Aug 11, 2010
If you are apply for tourist visa/visit visa you can submit your application in one of the schengen country in Nigeria that represent Lithuania. I don't know which country they use but you can ask for that.
However, if you are applying for study visa(resident permit) that means you must go to Egypt or nearest Lithuanian embassy to submit your application.
The best way to obtain your egypt visa is to go to the embassy in Abuja with your letter of invitation from the insitution and admission letter. Egyptian embassy may issue with visa. But I must say i dont know if the situation is changed with egyptian embassy in Abuja. You need to be patient too as you should know that if you are first time traveller you cant get visa so easily.
Also, it will be important to contact Lithuanian embassy in Cairo and ask if you can submit your application by post and collect visa in person if approve.
Goodluck!

It is not possible to obtain a visa from another country if:
[li]the country's embassy is in your country of origin.
you are not a resident of that country[/li]
[li][/li]
So, if the embassy is not in your country or you are a resident of that country you wish to obtain the visa then you wont have any problem flying from anywhere.

I will advise you to put all your energy in searching for jobs in Belgium. It is summer time and you will surely find something good to do there.
Looking for people to do invitation or people to accomodate cannot give you what you want. It will either get you a bad name because you may disappoint the people you wish to do invitation for or you disappoint people you want to accomodate. There are hotels and hostels.
What you are trying to do are known for people who live in Russia and Belarus because of lack of job opportunities in those places.

It is not yet late for now and you MUST be granted your student residence permit for studies in Sweden.

This is a wrong information. As far as Eu countries are concern No visa apart from spousal visa (under EU directive 2004) is guaranteed. All other visa categories depends on the visa officer's discrection.
All you need to do is to submit all the required documents which also still do not guarantee visa. Be purposefully in your application and even if you are not granted visa try other time execpt they give you chance to appeal. You can only appeal when you think the reason given for the refusal is not cogent and that you can provide all the evidence to prove this. Otherwise go for fresh application.

I think the site is authentic and their business and method of payment are also authentic. BUT the problem here is that he may be disappointed at end of the business with them. Reason, is because whatever visa category you wish to apply through them are not guranteed and which means it is better to do the process yourself and know you are only risking the money you spent with the emabssy. That method is not good for people from west Africa so it is better you dont risk that.
Travel / Re: France Tourist Visa Ideas - Help by juzme: 4:28pm On Jul 23, 2010
@ pikinchild, your last post makes your post more unclear and can be difficult to help you. I do not want to speculate on anything. But I know it is very rare for another country in europe to deport you back to your home country when they already know the country you are coming from and that you previously possessed their residence permit. That EU country will deport her back to france and not to her home country. And as VCjustice rightly said, it is more difficult to deport someone merely because her/his residence permit expired with just a little time interval.
So, it is better to ask your sister to narate her story very well for you so that you can use it to help her.
Travel / Re: France Tourist Visa Ideas - Help by juzme: 5:18pm On Jul 21, 2010
Your story is incomplete. Do your sister's son has french passport? what makes him a french citizen? Is just becausehe was born in france? If the child is a french citizen the french immigration authority will not just deport her because her residence permit expired execpt she committed a crime.
maybe people who live or know much about france can clarify this.
As regard to her short stay visit, she should exercise some patient because as you said her permit expired in 2009 and I guess she was deported late last year or this year. I think with the deportation she would recieve some kind of probation on entry to france. She can only apply for short stay visa only if she thinks that her deportation was not genuinely carried out and then she can appeal for that.
However, some countries in Europe has a provision for cancelling your probation/ban. Some of these provisions are getting married to a citizen, and also as you claimed that her child is french citizen. That can stand as a way of canceling her probation/ban.

And advising him to stop applying is also wrong Mr. Smarty pants Visa agent. He should rather recheck his documents and re apply. You never know when you might just get lucky.

I am of the opinion that this person dont know where Sweden is and neither do he/she knows the meaning of G8. Russia & France is part of G8. Can you compare them with Sweden.
It is better you go and get some knowledge instead of coming to public forum to share your ignorance.
Travel / Re: Swedish Visa by juzme: 2:14pm On Jul 13, 2010
@ IykeD, what is important here is you said earlier that you are not going to Sweden to work. Which I can understand you are mainly going there for your studies and this is a good decision. It could only be bad decision if you main intention is to work in Sweden. I am not trying to say here that there are no jobs in sweden for foriegn students. But it is quite difficult to find when you never understand swedish language.
Kelly whiskey made mistake when he compared cost of living in Sweden and UK. Cost of living should be high in Uk than in Sweden. Cost of medical care in Sweden is very low.
Sweden is a nice country for study but there are lack of job opportunties for foriegn students.
Travel / Re: What Is The Percentage Of Unemployment Rate In Your Country Of Residence? by juzme: 5:59pm On Jul 05, 2010
The statistics you got from world factbook are all correct. You were just making mistake in your judgement. If you are looking for a country to migrate and you wish to depend on Unemployment rate then you will be making a big mistake. Countries like Belarus always has 1% unemployment rate but their wages are very poor and standard of living is low as well.
To assistance you a bit as regard to your quest for country to migrate, at this present time you should be aware that most countries are facing difficulties in terms of their economy. At present and in reality there are little or no country without high unemployment rate. You mentioned that you have permit in Spain and I dont know if you have work permit there also. If that is correct then it will be much better for you to remain in Spain and continue to search for job than to migrate to a country you dont have work permit. You can only move to a country that you are sure to obtain a work permit. Owing to the high rate of unemployment in most countries employers hardly high people without work permit.  I dont know much about Australia, Canada, and USa, perhaps you may have some luck over there.
