Travel / Re: GENERAL Irish (student)visa & Work Permit-New THREAD*** by juzme: 7:39pm On Nov 24, 2018
partnerus:
I read your post and ordinarily I would have chosen turn a blind eye to it but for sake of clarity to those intending to come study here in Ireland, it would be a disservice to them if I remain mute. In as much as I reckon with you on certain constraints you made mention of here, it is not enough to draw to conclusion that there isn't better prospects schooling here in Ireland. For the record, I am not on the pay roll of the Irish government and I am not in anyway holding brief for them. So also, my write up is entirely my own personal opinion based on experience here in Dublin.

The truth is, there is no where on planet earth where you get things on a platter of gold. Even in freetown, Serria Leone, nothing is free there too. While I agree with you that Dublin as a city may have it's down sides, but choose to see the good sides too. You are a product of your thought.

ACCOMMODATION IN DUBLIN.

Its no longer news that Dublin is the most expensive city to live in Europe. Irish times even confirmed that too but the truth is there are other affordable and decent accommodation you can live in which will cost you between 380 and 400 euros monthly here in Dublin. I am saying this cause I witnessed a friend settle for that. It is very tidy, organised and could be likened to private university hostels in Nigeria. I didn't go for that's cause I already got a place in Dublin before then. You made mention in your write up of paying exorbitant rent as high as 700euros or there about. Oga, what happened to the mantra which says 'cut your coat according to your size? Even in Nigeria, America, Ghana or anyway else in the world, there is social strata which everyone falls into.

Before you left Nigeria, I guess you were amongst those who believed that once you get to Europe, you will pick euros on the streets. I am sorry if reality is far different now. The truth is, I work tirelessly round the clock here and blending same with my studies too. I have a part time job and also picked a night based job without tax as a Valetta. No European will do such job so I picked it. I am proud of it cause it pays my bills and gives me something to save as well. Come to think of it brother, where in the world is life seamless? Is it Nigeria, America or UK? I have an uncle who schooled in the US and today is a journalist in Manhattan, NY. He hasn't sent anything back home. He keeps complaining just like you are doing now as well. Complain hasn't helped anyone. Hardwork pays. There are lots of opportunities here in Dublin. Please look round and you will start finding such opportunities. I for myself I already have a clear road map here. I am already thinking of what I will delve into once I graduate since I am not allowed for now to be self employed on a stamp 2 visa.

Is Nigeria any better? Why don't you cut your spending drastically and work real hard. I mean real hard. To me, every Nigerian student here is a brother. I am using this medium to extend my hand of fellowship to you. Come let me introduce you to the world of hardwork which pays. We can together structure your time, plan your expenses and discuss a whole lot. As in brain Storm and share ideas together. I laughed when I read your post about racism in the house you live. Yours is small compared to what I face here. I am the only black guy in my apartment and worst still from Nigeria. I no send them ooo...I use schooling and hustling as tactics to ignore them. Most times I come home in the middle of the night after work and leave quite early to school in the morning. So I hardly have time for them. The truth is, it's not easy here but there are lots of opportunities. I mean it bro. That your friends graduated and returned to Nigeria doesn't mean your story will be same. As our faces differs, so those our destinies.
If you personally want proof, I can show you how much I have been able to remit home barely studying here for less than 3 months. I mean I achieved such feet with hustling and above all God's grace.
Stay strong and positive bro. That's the Nigerian spirit. Our leaders have failed us. You can't afford to fail your own children too.
To other serious and hardworking Nigerians willing to survive legally here in DUBLIN, please feel free to get in touch with me once you get here. Again, it's not easy but with sheer commitment and determination you will make it here. I mean real big. I am using myself as case study. That's why I have no intimate friend here or any thing bothering me. I made it so so that I can face the real purpose why I am here.

Please see the opportunity abound anywhere you are. Opportunities lies everywhere. The time to grab it is now or never!!!

Really good one! Glad to see someone who think in a positive way and face life the way it is.
Tired of lazy people who think life abroad should be much easier. The truth is that it never easy anywhere. Being successful start with your hardworking.
Having visited few countries, I think Ireland is one of the best countries immigrants can thrive and succeed after sometime if they know what they are doing.
There are some immigrant kids especially from Nigeria that after graduating from university here were not able to find job. I think part of the reason is because their parents /themselves were still having this Nigerian mentality where they think with education you can achieve everything and would be easier to find job. While that is partly true, in this part of the world your experience count and your ability to prove that you are able to perform and achieve success is very important. Building work experience is very important regardless of what type of job. It will surely help in finding your dream job.
Yes, Ireland is expensive in terms of accommodation. Get a part time job as a student to help you with your bills. If you are finding it difficult to find a job due to lack of experience consider volunteering and you can get a referee through this way. There are jobs out there. All you need is apply and prove to the employer that you’re willingly to do the job. Sometimes employer are not really looking at your educational qualification they are looking at your experience and willingness. One good tip is when you read job position and its requirements, try and match that requirement in CV. Don’t get yourself over qualified for the job. For instance, mentioning that you hold undergraduate, postgraduate etc. or that you were a director/manager in Nigeria. It may not count or rather they might not take you too serious.
Racism is everywhere in the west and it is not going away soon. So don’t let it discourage from achieving your dreams. Your personality is very important and that is the way people will respect you.
Stop complaining and take challenges and look for opportunities.

Mcowubaba:
Hello my dear nairalanders,

I will try to make this brief as possible, in this political and economic climate in Nigeria, many people are trying to emigrate to almost any other country, I totally understand that and actually support such decision, now let me inform you about Ireland, and probably help you make an informed decision.

Firstly, Ireland (Republic of Ireland) is not in the UK (United kingdom), or Great Britain, it's a country in its own right, might, independence.
As a Nigerian with only a Nigerian international passport, you will require visa to come to Ireland for almost any reason, and your Irish Visa is ONLY for Ireland, if you want to go anywhere near UK/Great Britain including Northern Ireland (Belfast), you will require a UK visa, and also a re-entry visa if you intend to go back to Ireland.

Secondly, Ireland is a relatively expensive country, rents are crazy, to stay in the capital city in Dublin, we are talking about €800-1500 for rent on average, do the math, 1 euro to naira is mostly 400 naira.
Other counties may be cheaper but nothing goes on there, the country is almost concentrated in Dublin (the capital city), the "jobs" "fun activities" and "infrastructure" , Counties like Cork, Galway, Kilkenny can slightly compare to Dublin.
Thousands of "CITIZENS" are Homeless, the sleep on the road side, or some council accommodation

Not just rent, the bus pass is expensive, trains are expensive (unless at a discounted rate with an Irish student ID card or for a minor <16), driving your own personal car is even more expensive, you may need an insurance cover worth over €3000 as a first time driver in Ireland, that is after passing the rigorous driving test process which can cost up to €520, lol

contd

Well, this could be a piece of advice to you or others. first you should get your information correct, stop misinforming others. Do more research and stop 'fake news'
Living in the west is all depend on the way your vision and the way build your career. it is all different from the way life is in 3rd world countries. stop comparing yourself to people living in your home country and start looking at the people in the countries where you reside. There is dignity in every job in the west. the so called menial jobs/unskilled job are not being created in so many third world countries. Hence people are migrating to other countries.
Also, your master/phd degreee is not so much important in build a career in so many profession, it is your career experience that is important and your eager to develop yourself in any field. Professional is not just when you work in a bank/office job. whatever, you do you are professional and you need to respect yourself for that.
You may reach your goals if you know how what you want and go for it.
Stop wanting to get rich quick to be like those who are taking advantage of unstable government.corruption/unstable economy your home country. you may never be rich like them. there is check and balances in the west.
Racism/nepotism/tribalism is everywhere in the world. Dont let it bring down, stay focus and know what you want.
Quality of living is what is important. Be happy in whatever you are doing.

Travel / Re: From Russia To Finland It's Advisable? by juzme: 9:39pm On May 29, 2018
I Wont say I have read all the post of this topic but will like to make a cautionary advice regarding trip to Russia. Dont be deceived that you can move to other European countries from Russia during your stay as a visitor(i.e using your Fan ID). There may be some exceptions like Belarus, Ukraine etc.
It is also going to be harder to obtain visa to any other countries in Europe (with your visitors visa) from Russia. of course, it may possible to apply for visa to countries like Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia but the chance of the visa being granted is small. Few of the reason they deny visa is because they have seen so many applicants that are not genuine
I think some visa agents will make it look possible just to rip you off.
You may travel to Russia to enjoy the world cup and leave the country before your visa expire and this will boost your travel experience.

Travel / Re: Would You Leave A Well Paying Job To Relocate To The U.S Or Canada? by juzme: 12:20pm On Jul 17, 2013
We keep forgetting one thing. You will need to be legal in a country to be lucky to have a good job. We should stop comparing countries based on their economy when you want to migrate. You should look at your current circumstance and a good reason to migrate. Put away all the mentality that everyone living abroad are better off. Of course Canada has a very good economy in the world today. We should look at the person who want to migrate to Canada’s current circumstances. He earns 150,000 Naira, equivalent to 750euro. The average of 2 bedroom flat in Nigeria may be 250,000naira annually. Do he has chances to progress in his current job? For me if I have chances of progressing in that position I will not risky going away from the job except for other conditions.
Considering this person’s current condition, basic wages in Canada is about 10.50c$. He may be allowed to work for 20hours as a student. Although, can’t really say much about how much he will be earning in Canada as I don’t know his professional qualification.
Some of the reasons that I may consider to abandon the job that I am earning 150,000Naira will be: That is if I think I can’t cope with them.
To run away from poor security condition in Nigeria
To run way from epileptic power supply in Nigeria
To escape the bad infrastructure system in Nigeria
To run away from constant malaria and typhoid fever.
If my current condition in Nigeria is bad and I have a sponsor to Canada.
If I have job offer in Canada
If fund to study a good course or programme
However, if I think I can cope with these conditions and that I have a better chance of progressing in my current job position. I will stay put.
One typical example is this. I have a friend that is earning 50,000euro per annum their country and her brother could not find job in their country but got a job offer in Canada is earning 30,000 euro per annum. Reason for moving is because he could not find job in his country.
This is my take on this. Move for a good reason!
Travel / Re: Would You Leave A Well Paying Job To Relocate To The U.S Or Canada? by juzme: 9:16pm On Jul 13, 2013
I think moving abroad to study or migration purpose should be based on personal circumstance and ones vision in life.
With information the OP has given I don’t anyone here can advise him. There will be so many ‘if’ . For instance, if he has better chance to progress in his current position, then why risky that to move abroad.
In the other way, if has the capital to support his/herself while studying abroad why not take the chance. Again, If the course or programme he is going to undertake in Canada has a good prospect, it may be good to take the chance as well.

Mr knowitall.:

What is this? why in the hell would you advice your friend not to leave Nigeria and go to school in Canada? you are the most

wicked friend ever....its like telling someone who lives in Makoko not to leave and relocate to lekki..wicked human being..

Ill suggest you stop giving immigration advice..

@ knowitall, I don’t mean to be rude but you almost sound desperate in your comments about moving abroad and one can assume that you never lived in a developed country with good economy. I said this because in a developed country even most foreigners that has a well-paid job still don’t think it is easy living abroad especially when you have to consider your race.

ogakpatakpata: @ASPchris..................thanks for your comments, l don't have time to engage in verbal/online arguement with the OP, my submission to him was that he shouldn't use his situation to discourage anybody who wants to travel to Qatar or anywhere........the same conditions that applies to UAE is similar ,if not the same as Qatar,l have asked him several questions and he has failed to respond, l now ask him again for the benefit of everybody...
1.......who invited the OP to Qatar?

2.......where you sponsored by a company/organisation to come work in Qatar?

3.......where you sponsored by a Qatari citizen or family to come work in Qatar?

4........was it an agent who took you to Qatar? and what where the conditions attached to your trip by your agent?

5.......The few Nigerians you claim are working as expartriate in Qatar, what kind of jobs are they doing?

6........Did you seek relevant informations/inquiries/job recruitments before your arrival in Qatar

7.......did you go to Qatar based on the bogus 5yrs working visa advertised by agents.

8.........what are your qualifications/experiences/competencies before departure from Nigeria.

9........once you respond sincerely to all this questions, the forumites and those of us in the middle east will be able to guide you well.........goodluck
I think you have not read the OP's post very well. Hence your wrong comments on his main reason of posting. Again, the OP was giving his opinion about moving to Qatar on mere promises by someone to secure a job for you.
Posts like Op's are more likely to save many people than ruining their chances of migrating abroad for a better life.
I have never been in Qatar but having been to some Middle East I wouldnt doubt if there are more people in the same condition with the OP.
Nigerian qualifications like you mentioned are not easily acceptable in many part of the world when you are seeking for an employment. Also, acquiring work permit with Nigerian qualification abroad without an upgrade is not an easy one. It is much easier if your company in Nigeria is sending you to the host country to work.

coogar: •a nigerian woman
•married to a british guy.
•she attempted suicide to evade deportation.

they are not going to deport her again after this incident - she's smart!

Smart! No! In my opinion I don’t think she was smart by wanting or taking her own life just because she was going through difficulties with immigration. She should have even counted herself lucky to be married which may give her more opportunity to be in UK or any other EU state. There are people in worse condition. Even if they have succeeded in deporting her she may still reunite with her spouse if their marriage is genuine.
And I think now that it’s in media, they will try to verify her asylum claims back in Nigeria if she survives her suicide attempt.
Best of luck to her.
Travel / Re: Uk Citizen With Spouse Going To Ireland by juzme: 11:22pm On Jun 13, 2012
noso_2004: Yes you are allowed to travel to Ireland without a Visa by law, however you must be in possession of a valid travel document and your marriage certificate together with your spouse, but in practice it is more difficult to achieve, firstly no Airlines will be willing to accept you on board their plane without a current visa or equivalent to your final destination, secondly you will face serious scrutiny at the border post especially as you will be coming from Nigeria.
It is always advisable to have visa to your final destination despite being a family member of an EU citizen.

By law he/she will require visa to visit any country in EU even if he is accompanying by his/her EU spouse provided he is a visa required national. He/she will not require visa only if he/she posses a residency card from any EU country and is accompanying by his/her EU spouse.
Travel / Re: Puzzling Information by juzme: 8:50am On Apr 24, 2012
I don’t mean to be rude but I will like to let you know that any country’s travelling documents (Passport) are valuable.
Secondly, I don’t think all your stories add up and no offence for that. You should be aware that any well-organized embassy will do anything to prevent people from obtaining passport through fraudulent means and this is to protect the genuine applicants and passport holders.
I can understand sometimes that embassy’s staffs through lack of proper training misbehave or acted in inappropriate manner.
If you have genuine reason to obtain Nigerian passport you should submit all the necessarily documents and some of the documents you said you obtained within those short period of time looked suspicious.
@vicjustice, If I understand your questions correctly, your family member have to fill application online as a visitor (tourism) and pay visa fees online plus embassy charge (postal order).

Sorry guys, she breached the condition of her visa. One of the visa application requirements for most countries is that you provide a valid address. And I believe this address was provided by her during the visa application hence the visa approval.
It really does not matter how much she had at the port of entry in as much as she is a visa required national and that the visa must be obtained from the country’s embassy abroad.
For other some countries in Europe you are not even allowed to change hotel during your time of visit.

Infact she even brough an idea we should go to 9ja, but i dey fear since my vis. don expire, the problem we have now is the divorce issue wih this Pakistan man.
About the pakistan man, what happened was'' The pakistan man travel to pakistan on his own voluntarily for 2 years, so when he won come back, they refused him entry because my girlfriend went to inform the immigi that their marriage is fake and she don find her real love which is me.
And point of correction, the pakistan man did not paid her cash for the contarct iyawo. Their agreement was ''he rented a house for her and paid the whole two years rent. That was the deal, but nothing like cash for the contract iyawo.

So when the pakistan man refused to pay another 1 year left rent, she decided to informt the immigi. so it was the pakistan man thta breach the agreement. But the point now is ''CAN WE GET MARRIED IN ANY EU country or in 9ja, before her divorce with the pakistan, honestly i dont bother about i, but she insist we get married so i can have my own paper too so we can go to Latvia for holiday.
Guys, your ideas will be appreciated.
Thank you everybody.

Unfortunately, her marriage with the Pakistani was that of convenience and the one that she is planning with you of convenience too. I don’t think this forum should be where illegal deals should be promoted.
Kudos to you Dalebutt and others for your posts on this topic. It is really shameful the way Nigerians are among the high ranked in ‘sham marriages’ in Europe. There are a lot I heard going on in Spain and Romania (among the gypsy).
And to be honest with you, you will waste almost all your time chasing shadow on this issue as I believe may not work out and even if it is going to work out, will take ages and your finance

I think getting a sponsor in Ireland and some other european countries may be very hard nowadays because of high unemployment rates. I will suggest you further your education in the same field in Ireland and through that you will be allowed to work up to 20 hours a week. Possibly, you may get a work permit after your study.

@ OP, dont let anyone flaunt to be an Immigration guru to you on this thread, after all Life is all about risk come on take the risk, if it doesnt work out for you then atleast you have tried, there is absolutely no fault in trying. I would not advise you to become and illegal immigrant that could juts turn out to be an utter disaster. Man follow your instinct. you are an adult and no one is responsible for your actions other than you as its always been said we are where we are today because of the decisions we made yesterday. Be prayerful but i tell you to chance it .

you sure dont know what awaits you in Isreal. how could people just conclude your future based on experiences they have had or heard or seen. you are  different from any other human being on this planet you are simply yourself. Most Nigerians and i say this, the  majority of all Nigerians in the western countries that have acquired dual nationality has not done this because they had student/work permit visa before they embarked on the journey but the wise ones and fortunate ones have made good of the risk they took back then. The fear of the unknown is what is affecting most people, we are not God so we cant see beyond just now.

This just strike even more what happens to taking risks? after all its not such a silly risk you are about taking. I know this 1st hand people can chat poo a lot to make themselves feel good. these appaling contributions arent what you need at this time and am sure this isnt what you have hoped to get before posting your message.
I dont see any significance as at yet to help you coming to a decision on your post by these comments I would advise you to just stay off from this thread.

as I have noticed I have always failed when i listen to peoples advise it has never ever do me any good till yet.  and yet i have taken risk thats paying off even now as i write to you.  Just be prayerful and let the Lord lead you on.

As much as you are entitled to your own opinion, it is not good to encourage someone to embark on a journey without a proper planning. Immigration has been changed in different parts of the world due to mass migration and abuse of your visa type.
From what I can see today, it is very difficult to survive as illegal immigrant in many countries and for you to legalize yourself after being illegal is quite harder. @dalebutt, I believe from what you wrote here in this forum you will agree with me on that. Some have to go back to their native countries to apply for the right visa in order to legalize themselves.
Someone suggested he should apply for student visa in any European countries which I think it is a best idea. Also, he can as well apply for student visa to Israel instead of tourist visa except if you can change to student visa while in Israel.
Someone said there a lot jobs in Israel, please don’t be deceived, there is nothing like “lots of jobs in Israel” . There were some Nigerians living in Egypt that crossed to Israel and life has not been easy for them over there.
@OP, you will be better of with a student visa as a starter in anywhere decide to migrate.

I don't think you get it, we are not talking about Visa Agents here, and by what i have in mind am sure honest pple with legitimate travel agency business will benefit enormously. Besides, every visa assistance will be dealt with here on this section black and white. At the same time, i am sure many pple will be happy at the end of the verification process to deal with many Travel Agents on matters regarding the following: flight booking and ticketing, travel consultation, hotel reservation and booking and many more except Visa Issuance which am sure no Travel Agent can guarantee you. Pls check previous posts for clarification.

Gbammmmmmm over and out

Ticketing, hotel booking and tour packages excluding visa are not the main problem of Nigerians who want migrate to other countries and most adverts on this travel section is all about visa.
Again, I don’t think many legitimate travel agencies (i.e. for ticketing, & hotel booking) in Nigeria care more about advertising their services here in this forum. I don’t genuine Travellers may have any problem buying their genuine ticket from either the airline or from the Travel agencies.
Therefore, if this is only meant for “travel agencies” and not “Visa agent” then I still see nothing much important about this.
Travel / Re: All Travel Agents- Your Suggestions are needed here! by juzme: 8:32am On Oct 25, 2011
Siena:

Justwise, this is just a suggestion, please feel free to delete it, if it's inappropriate.

In the Auto section, there was a thread started, whereby all dealers (and regular traders of parts, accessories etc) were invited to email the Moderators with the following information:

01) Their full names.
02) Their business details.
03) Their telephone numbers (if applicable).
04) Their mobile numbers.
05) Their email addresses.
06) Their office / home addresses.
07) Their website (if applicable).

This call for compliance was by no means mandatory, but it allowed for more confidence and transparency in traders. There was a deadline for compliance, those that failed to comply were still allowed to trade, but of course, potential buyers were able to draw their own conclusions for non-compliance.

Those that supply the requested data can be announced at a later date. The Travel section needs this more than the Auto section, seeing as there are more sharks trawling the murky waters. Those that advertise as "Ticket" or "Travel Agents" can also supply their Certificates of Accredition. Travel Agents definitely have to be registered, those self-styled ones are simply con artists looking to ensnare the unwary. "Visa Agents" are con artists, and threads offering such services should be deleted. Unverified persons leaving their details to be contacted off the boards, should be viewed as suspicious. More so, if someone opens a thread, asking for advice, and these unverified persons leave their details, saying "call me," or "email me."

This is my take on things.

I think I have to differ from this suggestion. Auto business is different from travel agency business in the perspective I will be looking at it. Vehicle or the parts are more of physical things you will like to see before you buy them but Visa or even flight ticket is more of abstract when you cannot verify it until you use it or got to your proposed destination.
And the situation Nigeria is today, recommending any travel agent or visa agent may not be the right thing to do. 419ners have physical address and their business registered. There are a lot of people who are desperate to leave Nigeria at all cost.
The Canadian visa agent I heard about here in this forum advertised some media in Nigeria which made some people to believe and trust them.

If am not wrong you are usually referred to adaptation and assessment if you did not meet direct registration requirements. And in that case you will be required to complete the adaptation and assessment programme in an approved hospital which I also believed that you must have received with your decision. So please refer to your decision letter and check the lists of approved hospital that you can register for adaptation. If by any reason you don’t have it then I may try to check on it as regard to Irish nursing system or perhaps people who know about it can lists them here for you.

Embassies could hold your passport for any period of time as long as your application is not yet decided but it is up to you to make a formal request for your passport to be returned. Even Schengen visiting visa that turn out to be lengthy, you can always make a formal request for your passport to be returned.
For those applying for residency in UK through HO, it may sometimes be difficult to get your passport back and this usually when they question your application and to make it easier for removal, they will keep your passport.
Travel / Re: I Need A Serious Advise Concerning Uk Spouse Visa In Nigeria by juzme: 8:10pm On Sep 29, 2011
As far as I know, If application is going to take a long time you may request for your passports back while you application is being processed.
As for your spouse visa application, the important things are the financial situation of both of you (especially your spouse) and the employment status of your spouse. Since your application is going to be considered under UK immigration law and there is no automatic right to the spouse of British citizen in UK, therefore, your spouse need to prove that she/he will need to take care of your without any recourse to public fund.
However, you can always make an application; see what the result will and if refuse may appeal or reapply later. Also, it may be important if you can include any evidence of your chances of gaining employment as soon as you will be in UK.

The person that was enquiring of Romania, there is no way that he/she will not spend upto 2000 euro if he embarks on the adventure. Romania is a member of EU and so what? The person can then enter another eu country and become an illegal immigrant. How many illegal immigrants are genuinely working?
My advice for you OP is that if you don’t have any positive things to do in Romania then invest your money in other things in Nigeria. You can end up spending years in Romania trying to survive.

I believe anyone can be scammed but in this situation I can only blame the educated ones among them. Some Nigerians whether educated or not still have the same mentality.
An university undergraduate or a graduate will decide to have less knowledge about a country and still believe at this age in Nigeria someone can go to embassy an apply for visa on his/her behalf. This person refuses to know anything about the visa regime of that country and don’t care to know what his status in that country will be and what nature of job will I she/he be doing in that country.
In this forum I have seen graduate coming to compare Canada and one Eurasia countries. And someone said in this forum, some of this people will prefer to consult their pastor or their native doctor to know the reality of the country they are migrating.
The educated ones among them chose to be scammed.

I wonder what people like you usually thinking of those going abroad for various purposes best known to them. Listen mehn, after I finished my MS abroad I would be 20 X better compare with you that remain in Nigeria. With my foreign cert they will make me your boss in this same Nigeria. Sure! You talk as if if you have the opportunity you will say you won't move. Stop being hater and face reality, step up your mentality and stop thinking irrational. Next week ASSU starts their 7 days warning strike. Thats one of the problems with Nigeria. So, provide solution to that as a problem solving Nigerian. What opportunities you yourself have in Nigeria as a first class citizen without a paying job? Damn! I have decided not to reply this kind of silly talks from unfortunate poster.

I think your comment here is appalling and I also think this is the same reason why so many people in Nigeria risky all they have to migrate abroad.
Having education abroad or at home sometimes does not guaranteed success. I think it is always important to let people understand the truth about living abroad that all that glitter is not gold.
I agree it is not quite easy in Nigeria and so in some other countries abroad. People should stop taking it as do or die affair when it comes to moving abroad

I don't think at this 21st century with so many technology that people should still be so ignorant of some common things like knowing a little about countries economy. Some Nigerians still believe that abroad is abroad.
From time to time we read people in the forum comparing developing countries and developed countries in terms of their economy, education etc.
Someone would want to compare Belarus to Canada, UK to Russia etc.

No airline would put someone on the plane without the right Visa, but then he has the right to be issued a Visa at the boder.

There are airlines that will carry you if you are accompanying your eu spouse and also in possession of residence card issued by UK or any eu member state.
I believe this webpage links may help.

[b]UK residence card is NOT applicable to travelling within the Shengen zone. If they are both travelling together, he will either need to secure a Shengen visa (free), or in it's absence, they will have to take an authenticated marriage certificate with them.
Well, I have seen people with UK residence card travelled to schengen countries with only their residence card while their spouse accompany them. Meanwhile, having only authenticated marriage certificate without Residence card does not permit you to visit any schengen countries without visa. The prime thing here according to EU directive on freedom of movement is just your RC. However, I understand some Schengen countries will require you to obtain a visa before embarking on your visit which we all know as the breach of EU directive on freedom of movement.
You are not required to have your marriage certificate once you have you RC but it is always advisable to have it in case the immigration officer will question the authenticity of the RC.

He will need a Shengen visa if he is travelling with her using an un-authenticated Nigerian marriage certificate.
Her spouse is possession a residence card issued by UK and both of them are travelling together therefore, he may not need a visa to visit any schengen country.

I think she can authenticate it from her embassy in UK or ministry of foreign affair in her country that is only after you have authenticated the document from Nigeria embassy or high commission. Also, your country may want you to register the marriage in your country before they can authenticate it.
By the way, your husband don't need visa to enter schengen countries if he is travelling with you.
