Come on, this is very very untrue. She can apply apply with her kids as long as she possesses the requirements to be issued a visa. Her job as a federal employee is a good ties, plus she need to have a reasonable amount of money in her account that is twice or thrice bigger than the total cost of her trip, if she have any property that is also a good tie. Please don’t just come here and give people wrong advice. Victor4visahelp: 2 Likes |

Who told you your passport has not been seized? Until you get to immigration office ABJ. It baffles me that you’re on this forum and still allow yourself into such a thing. There’s actually nothing you can do, from your explanation I can see that you committed the offense and I’m really sorry that you have been flagged. You had all the opportunity to contact the good people of this forum for advise prior to your documents submission and biometrics, but you didn’t anyway, so please carry your cross and leave the good people of this forum alone. It is people like you that actually give Nigerians bad name that attracts all the extreme vetting we hear of. Meet your so called agent for solutions not Nairalander’s pls. Dimmy17: 7 Likes |

My brother I don’t understand what people think about visiting abroad, that money will change their whole story in the next 5 years if they diligently plan a business with it, but they rather want to visit U.K. and come back to the same level they have been in. Exactly why VO’s find it hard to believe that they will ever come back to Nigeria. NIGHTLIFE100: 3 Likes |

That’s a kind gesture. However, I don’t think they will be approved for visa, for reasons that as a couple that wants to visit the U.K., they are expected to be financially strong enough to undertake the trip without a sponsor. Lodging an amount that is unusual in his account is a red flag, sponsoring a couple who do not have strong ties (i.e, business, properties, reasonable savings in bank) in their home country is also a red flag. As a married couple at the age of 30 and above, the VO expect you to meet certain criteria, which is being independent at all level. It gives the VO’s reasons to believe that their economic circumstances in Nigeria does not meet the requirements for an entry clearance, hence if giving the opportunity to enter the U.K. they will likely not leave at the end of their intended visit. I think sponsorship works better for young people 25 years and below, and old people 55 and above. frickyjohn: |

Have you considered your decision to take a loan of 1m to visit the U.K. ? So when you come back from the trip you start paying off the loan every month from your salary?? Do you honestly think this is a wise decision? Or you don’t plan to return to Nigeria?? ola1970: 1 Like |

She should please verify that visa, you know agents in Nigeria can do anything to make money , plus the fact that they can take advantage of the fact that there is no more seal on it. Monmarri: 2 Likes 1 Share |

My previous visa issued in Oct 2018 had the seal you’re talking about, but my current visa don’t have it. I submitted my application on 3rd May 2019 and got my passport 31st May and saw that the seal isn’t there. From my investigation, I leant that the seal is no longer on visit visas issued from November 2018. Regarding this the visa date, you should ask the applicant if he stated on his application that he was to travel in July, but I still don’t think that’s enough for the visa validity to start in July. I had just collected my 2 years visa for myself and my wife, and 6 months for our 5 months old daughter on Friday. I submitted at Abuja on the 3rd of May. Now I am saying this base on experience. I choosed a regular appointment with assisted service for every member of the family. Although appointments isn’t as tight In Abj unlike VI and Ikeja. I opened all 3 application in different browsers the same time, mine was on google chrome, my wife’s own was on Mozilla Firefox and my daughters own was on internet explorer, I choosed the same dates and time swiftly and it was around 11pm. When we got there the security personnel at the entrance merged us as a family of 3. That’s it. However, because of the rush and loads of application mostly in VI and Ikeja base on the summer break he will have to choose a much later date to get a regular assisted service because a lot of people are accessing the site at this time. dcutey: |

Sorry 28 business days. Cancelling for refund will take 38 business days for the funds to be returned back to the same account you paid it from. Now regarding the flexi thing, it’s not compulsory that you must choose flexi, it’s only a suggestion on the site. You can choose a normal date and time for each members of the family, note it must be the same date and time for all of you, when you get there you will be merged as a family. So please save yourself 84GBP from each member of your family. nonoski: |

OmoBendel, I haileth thee.. The thing is, if she state that she has other income it has to reflect in her account statement which I believe isn’t the case at this point, and as you know the VO wants to see proof of any financial position you claim to be in., so if she doesn’t have any other regular deposits that’s comes in like an extra income she can’t use that option. And as for the 350k she’s budgeting, that na straight denial, I wouldn’t let her use that micro funds for a trip like that, hence the reason I ask her to use 450k or 500k. OmoBendel24: 1 Like |

It’s not a must that it must be an amount not more than your two months salary, that’s not compulsory. What matters is that you have income that comes in every month and that you have more than enough to cover the trip and still have money in your account to live on when you return home. In my opinion I would advise that you go with 450k or 500k, which is at least 1k pounds. ebose09: |
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Jyyes: 12:34pm On May 27, 2019 |
The issue here is whether you have enough that will cover you on the trip. As for the pay you should put 150k there since that’s what comes in from your employer. Now you’re going with this person and declaring same which is fine. However it would be nice if you have more than the said amount that you intend spend on this trip, that is to say, make the VO see that you still have money to live on when you get back from the trip. ebose09: |
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Jyyes: 7:17am On May 27, 2019 |
It doesn’t have to be a flexi appointment, they should book the earliest regular appointment for same time and date for each of the family members which I believe have available slots earlier than June 19th, they will be merged as a family of 3 when they arrive at the first check section by the security in charge. Secondly the flexi fee is charged per head, so if they’re going for that they will pay the flexi fee x 3. And finally they should use priority service. I assure you if they go with this advise everything will be ready ahead of their planned departure date. dcutey: |
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Jyyes: 7:04am On May 27, 2019 |
You should put 165k since that’s what comes in from your employer monthly., as for question 2, I don’t think 350k will fly, although you didn’t state whether someone invited you and accommodation and feeding is taken care of by them, you need to tell the house what expenditure the 350k is going for, if it’s for ticket alone or everything on the trip. ebose09: |

Hmmm! Rolake1, I’ve read all of your posts and I cannot understand your kind of desperation, it is so obvious that you ignore advise from people that knows everything about UK visa. You’re never coming back to Nigeria if you’re ever issued a visa. Be warned!! That agent is going to get you in a lot of problems with the British Embassy and you will be banned for 10 years. Why not plan uoureadlf with the money you intend paying the agent and apply yourself. What were the reasons for your previous denials?? You could address the issues from those denial letters and get a visa yourself. Rolake1: 1 Like |

Lipsyred. I have to call you out on this for certain reasons, for the most part is that you are educated and works with Zenith bank and should have known better. You are one of Nigerians that actually deserve this visa, giving your personal circumstances but you messed this up, mostly with your spouse misrepresentation and I’m scared that this application might rob your subsequent applications if not properly planned with due deligence and honest representation with clear evidence. No, you didn’t do things rightly at all, and I’m sorry if my words are coming too harsh. Firstly, your husband claimed he is self employed and earns 30m annually, which stands at 2.5m monthly., Question is, does his personal account show a monthly income of 2.5m from his business account for the past 6 months Did he submit CAC documents listing him as the director of the company as he claimed Did he submit a company account that showed maximum trading to the tune of him earning 2.5m monthly He claimed he earns 2.5m monthly and has a balance of 2.5m, so he literally spends the 2.5m he earns every month in the past 6 months This is a whole lot of dishonest representation from him being the lead applicant. And on your part, Why would you be the sole sponsor of your trip with 900k when your husband is rich and earns 2.5m monthly Why would you intend to spend 900k for a 5 days trip, an amount above your 3 months salary Why is your money not in zenith bank where you work which genuinely shows that the money is yours and readily available for use at anytime Why a large sum deposit in your IBTC account ? These are mistakes you made that you will have to carefully work on if you intend to apply again. My advice for you is that you should build your salary account for the next 6 months, don’t transfer money from it to save elsewhere, save it there and spend from there, and use same for your next application. If you have free 1m now put it in there this month and forget it, then by end of November you can apply again, print out 6 months statement, this 1m deposit from this month will not show on the statement because it’s from June to November. The VO are very suspicious of huge deposit, they now know that a lot of ppl are staging this huge deposit to further boost their accounts and that means they are not honest with their true circumstances. And on your next application don’t put 5 days, 2 weeks is okay. How can you spend 900k of your money for only 5 days when you earn 288k monthly?? It makes no sense at all. Again, the first reason why you were denied is because of the false representation that your husband claimed without proof. And like I said on your next application use only your salary account, and make sure it has reasonable balance, if you have to wait until 2020 to get a reasonable balance it’s fine, just make sure no huge deposit that isn’t your monthly salary is shown there. Again I am sorry for the denial, I know how you feel, because you really deserve this visa, I have frnds from zenith bank with same pay as you, they have visas and some are renewing for 5 and 10 years respectively. My brother submitted his on that same date 3rd May 2019, at Abuja and no news from UKVI yet. Giving the current data of applications from April until now I think your cousin submitted his too late giving that he planned attending a wedding 31st this month. He should have gone for the priority service instead. However there’s the possibility that his passport will be ready before then. ibraheemolasupo: |

I will advice that you reapply and address the issue stated on the refusal letter, stating that you are actually going to write an exam there will make it clear that you weren’t honest with your intentions about the trip on your first application, giving the VO a clear reason to note that their decision was the right one and that’s an automatic denial on your next application. |

Ucdavid111: That’s a fraudulent act, please don’t even try soliciting the banks help on that, they never won’t and it will make you look fraudulent. Write a letter on the said deposit, explain how and why that money was deposited. You can as well tell them you sold a property of yours or someone paid you what they owed you, it all depends on the kind of circumstance you are claiming to be in. 1 Like |
Hi Justwise, Thanks for all your help especially on my previous applications which has all been successful. Am in a fixed situation now and need urgent advice. So i applied to join my husband as his dependent (spouse) last year (June 2018) and got the visa, i also did my masters in the UK(2016-2017), however my husbands tier 1 visa was expiring this year so instead of the usual 2 years i was granted visa till the expiration of his which was April 2019 and he has already applied for his Indefinite leave to remain (ILR) since 1st February, i have also applied to renew my spousal visa and we are both waiting for a decision on that, now am 7 months pregnant and was looking at applying for a visit visa from my mum (2 months visit), obviously with my husband as the sponsor, she has been to the UK once in 2005 for my step sisters wedding whom i don't really communicate with, do i also have to mention her in the application cos i was in secondary school when my parents came for her wedding and i didnt know much plus we don't talk now. My mum has'nt travelled out since then but my parents are doing very well in Naija and relocation is definitely the last thing on their mind. i am very confused can we make this application with our pending visa decision, can i use my sister inlaw who is British as the major applicant? my mum works with a federal ministry and runs her own business, plus my dad and kid brother (12 years) are still in Nigeria too is this ties strong enough? the solicitor we just spoke to said recently 9/10 UK visas are denied don't know how true this is and am due to give birth ending of JULY. All and any advice given will be appreciated. The notion that they are denying 9/10 is not true.. It all depends whether the applicant meet the requirements or not. I will advise that your mom apply with her husband and they both be their own sponsor since you said they are doing very well in nigeria. If that is not the case, your sister inlaw can invite your mom, but your mom should be the sponsor of the trip. You should’ involve you and your spouse in this given that your both application is pending waiting for decision. |

wintabotom:Yeah, when you don’t agree with them on something and you can prove it beyond reasonable doubt they give it a pass mark. So I want you to make sure you make everything clear and understanble on your part. Tell them why she liquidated the investment in Nov, and also let them know the interest comes in every 3 6 or 12 months depending on how her investment tenure is. Then inform them in a letter that your access bank has your savings and that you can fund part of her expenses on this trip. And finally, there is a box on the application form that’s says do you have any additional information as part of your application? Please on that box fill in all the documents you adding as support document to her application. One more thing, is she going on tour or visiting family ? |
