Politics / Re: You...as President Of Nigeria by k2039: 3:43pm On Aug 09, 2014
The job of the president is one hell of a job, it's one of the hardest task on earth.

Some times when I read some American's comment on Obama, I'm tempted to think he is the worst president on earth, so really the first thing to brace up for as a president is that there will always be critism (constructive or not) even when you are convinced that you are doing the right thing.

I still feel if Nigeria will change at all, it begins with each one of us as individuals, the presidents input is just relatively small in all this.

The president is not the one who will head government parastatals, agencies, house of assembly, judiciary etc, you can be sure most of this people are corrupt.

It's not just having a good man as president, we need a lot of good men in places of authorities.

So the task of rebuilding Nigeria begins with every single one of us, it's not what I will do when I become a president, it's what I'm doing now.

I don't take bribes, neither do I give bribes.
I believe in meritocracy and not nepotism.
I believe every parent should be responsible for raising their children properly.
I believe in orderliness ( I join a que where necessary)

I can go on and on, the whole issue boils down to this, if we (most) as Nigerians are good citizens then Nigeria will be a better place for all of us, ultimately the president was also part of the masses at some point.

All the president can do is to implement good policies, but if you have a uncle who is a DG that's is corrupt or a dad who is the GMD if NNPC that is corrupt, you can be sure that everything will remain as it was.

If elected president though, the topmost thing on my list will be power generation, invest so much in education (I just hope those in the helm of affairs aren't corrupt, invest also in renewable energy because as it stands oil is just a stop gap measure, I will also go through the federal budget and try to eliminate programs that aren't working and try to implement new ones and ultimately I will listen more as a leader to the citizens, the greatest communicators are the best listeners.

I don't think I will really want to do so much, it's just about getting the essentials, power generation and education will be my utmost priority and both are essential for innovations.

tobillionaire: alllll redeemers were asked to fast 4 100 days earlier dis year, i think dis could b 1 of d reasons buh every tought it was because of BH nd election campaign am sure those who participate in that fasting will never experience dis mumu disease
'you thought', Red Flag, I thought redeemers always fasted 100 days earlier in the year.

Besides why wasn't it explicitly stated?.

It's just like me stating that some people will lose their lives in the coming election (2015). If I really can see the future, I should be explicit to the extent of naming the states with the highest casualties, in fact with figures.

Dreal1247: There was a prophecy that a disease more deadly than aids was to surface.
Ebola has been around before now, so the pastor should have been precise.

If Ebola was new, I would have agreed with you, but since it's been around much earlier, I feel the pastor could have mentioned the name.
Health / Re: Family Of Dead Nigerian Nurse On The Run by k2039: 9:03am On Aug 09, 2014
Yomieluv: Illiteracy is truly a disease,it kills faster than Ebola itself .why are they running? Is it not for their own benefit that they should turn themselves in..imagine,the family of a supposed nurse, who ought to know the benefit of turning themselves in for proper treatment..Education in Nigeria is truly a scam, most people are educated, not enlightened.

Now, they are a threat to everyone of us.
Nairaland / General / Did Any Of Our Pastors Reveal Ebola As One Of The Prophesies For 2014? by k2039: 8:55am On Aug 09, 2014
Just wondering if anyone read it anywhere or was in church when any pastor revealed Ebola as one of the prophesies for 2014?.

I can't remember reading anything like that and that's giving me a lot of concern because if none of them saw/revealed this, we can as well ignore all prophesies henceforth.

This is a big situation that everyone of them should have seen if at all they can tell the future, I'm sure had we all heard this in January before Ebola started in February, we all (government inclusive) would have been proactive about the whole issue.
