PoliticsRe: Henry Okah Sentenced To 24 Years In Prison by kabba7(m): 7:08pm On Mar 26, 2013
Geomac: Johannesburg - Nigerian Henry Okah was jailed for 24 years by the South Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg on Tuesday.

"Effectively, the accused [Okah] is therefore sentenced to 24 years imprisonment," Judge Neels Claassen said as he handed down sentence.

On 21 January, Okah was found guilty on 13 counts of terrorism, including engaging in terrorist activities, conspiracy to engage in terrorist activities, and delivering, placing, and detonating an explosive device.

Car bombs

The charges related to two car bombs in Abuja, Nigeria, in which 12 people were killed and 36 injured on 1 October 2010, the anniversary of the country's independence.

The second bombing took place in Warri on 15 March 2010 at a post amnesty dialogue meeting. One person was killed and 11 seriously injured.

In both bombings, two car bombs went off minutes apart in both places. The cars were parked in close proximity to each other.

Claassen sentenced Okah to 12 years imprisonment for each of the bombings and 13 years for the threats made to the South African government after his arrest in October 2010.

The 13 years would run concurrently with the 24 years.

In January, during judgment Claassen said the State had proved Okah's guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, and his failure to testify meant the evidence against him remained uncontested.
Okah has denied any involvement, claiming the charges against him were politically motivated.

Some dumb guy told Nigerians that mend has no connection with the Abuja bomb hopefully the silly guy will grant state pardon to the Okah bomber man.
Come to think of it in Nigeria Okah is not guilty same as Ibori was an innocent man in Nigeria until he landed in UK prison.

PoliticsRe: OPC Will Defend Yorubaland From Boko-Haram by kabba7(m): 7:14pm On Mar 24, 2013
OsunOriginal: Shut up your ignorant mouth. Those who are opposed to amnesty are the real trouble makers who hope to benefit from the crisis and a divided Nigerian populace.

What is wrong in declaring amnesty if that will bring to the public the faces behind boko haram (or what do they call it)? If this will stop bombing of innocent Nigerians, why should a sane person say no to it especially when the same imbe. has no other solution to the problem.

If federal government will not give amnesty to boko haram because they belief they are ghosts, what other solution do they have? They have to tell us this, otherwise some of us will begin to think the government is benefiting or plans to benefit from this crisis and may even be the one covertly behind it.

Now that is clear that GEJ will lose south west come 2015 no matter what, they want to bring boko haram here to intimidate and divide us. This will not work - evil will not take over south west.
The president and his co_looters are benefiting from the crisis ,they actually are the people instigating the boko haram insurgent GEJ cant deceive anyone.
The day Jona bring the boko people to the south west he will know that 'Khaki no be leather' the enmity between the Igbo and Hausa's will be settled at the end of the world and u don' have to drag anyone into your internal squable.

Does being a chairman or vice chairman of the Arewa youth Development amount to being a member of boko haram ? Maybe every member of the Ndigbo is also an armed robber / kidnapper . NNigerian should work towards ending the boko haram menace and stop this irresponsible name callings .

Human_being1st: CONTINUATION
“Even their embassy was finding it hard getting
information out of them. an embassy official
called Mr Tony was doing his best to help us,
but even he could not get anything out of
them.” When information eventually came, it was too
limited, according to Oyeyode. “They told us they were coming with a 25-man
delegation, but didn't give us any names, so we
could not book the connecting flight to Calabar
early. “When it was getting late, we used our
relationship with the airline to book 25 seats
with no names, only for them to arrive with a
35-man party. “In their letter, they never said they wanted to
train in Lagos. The arrangement was for them
to come in and fly straight to Calabar. But their
flight arrived at noon, and the flight to Calabar
is usually at 11am. “At no time did we discuss anything about a
chartered aircraft. Even our own team, who
are African champions, flew to Calabar on a
regular commercial flight.”
is this a true story or has salt and maggi added to spice it up ?

It seem to me we Nigerians are begining to behave very badly , does it mean our officials don' know the minimum level of treatment we give visiting teams or is it part of the byproduct of the decay we are going through .

braine: This doesn't make sense. I wonder if they considered factors like population and the location of the foriegner in the country. Majority of the top countries have low population density.

Nigeria should be on the top list, but no, all thanks to Boko Haram. angry
if thanks go to Boko Haram the respect is due for the nigerian association of kiddnappers not forgetting the union of nigerian armed robbers too before the treasury looters to cap .
