For me we still need more assets; especially male UAV, long endurance UAV/spy UAV, transport & logistic aircraft both for logistics/transport for fixes wings and rotary aircraft.

Not e need more fighter aircrafts for power projection; probably the JF thunder block lll and in the nearest future su 75s/Su 35s or better still go for a stealthier aircraft.

They should focus more on NCO training, gear and standards. Tbh, a lot of Nigerian personnel still look and act almost like insurgents and that's not good at all. I've seen way to many videos of Nigerian personnel showing both poor training and discipline.

NCO are the workforce, strength and image of a nations military. If the skill and discipline of the average NCO is poor, the military as a whole will be ineffective.

I've noticed most investment in the Nigerian military is limited to officers and select few men. I used to think it was due to resource constraints, but now I see they can actually do much more.

The viper discount deal with Slovakia apparently has broken down due to Slovakia's reluctance to send MIGs to Ukraine. This means that the 12 vipers are most likely going to Nigeria now. I guess that's part of what Blinken will mention in his Nigeria visit.
