jl115:Unfortunately I was also part of this argument. When supporters of political candidates lose in elections in Nigeria, they immediately claim fraud. This election had one of the lowest incidents of violence, ballot box snatching, electoral offences and the lowest case of over voting in the history of Nigerian elections. That is why I find it amusing sometimes when people say Nigeria's population is over 200 million. I'm not saying the election was excellent, but the candidate with the best spread won the election as was earlier predicted. Each of the 3 major candidates won in 12 states each for the first time in the history of elections in Nigeria. It doesn't matter to some Nigerians, they are prepared to hate for the next 8 years as they hated Buhari these past 7.9 years. We have seen it in this thread. |
Odunayaw:Unfortunately this discussion is now closed for me. |
Stormtrooper11:Leave all these election talk for the politics section, I won't be responding to mentions on Nigeria elections any longer. This is not the thread for it. |
Covert1:Sentiments and tears from an election loss, you will be back posting military content from Nigeria in no time. The election that produced President elect Tinubu was not perfect, however claiming flawed in the context you actually mean it is totally false. Again all aggrieved candidates should go to court. This thread is not the courts. P.S - I'm not in this thread to seek validation, respect, friendship, likes or whatever form of relationship. I simply do not care about your feelings or that of any other poster in this thread. Nigeria will succeed!! |
MAN1960:You are a fucking idiot. I never claimed that this election didn't have it's on issues, I completely disagree that the election process was flawed, especially when compared to other past elections including 2015 when the APC claimed dogs and baboons would be soaked in blood. It doesn't matter how some of you cry in this thread, it's comical and I quite enjoy the theatrics actually, but you will be better served going to court. |
Covert1:So you are not interested in going to court any longer. Let the allegations be proven in court, that's what I'm saying. You have your preferred candidate, I have mine, all these crying and tears in this thread would not solve anything. Like I earlier stated and still maintain. We have our problems in Nigeria while there were pockets of violence and voter intimidation this election was largely, very largely peaceful, the best candidate won and losers can got to court to prove their case according to the provisions of the law. |
Stormtrooper11:There are videos online of people in the South East forcefully thumb printing for Labour party candidates. Are we supposed to believe that Labour party scored 98% of the vote on average in the South East. We were told the naira redesign was because of Tinubu, Force deployment also because of Tinubu etc etc All candidates should go to court with the evidence they have. We have not seen the Tinubu presidency yet, we cannot start claiming doom and gloom. I get you don't like Tinubu, but let's not claim he did not win this election when nothing has been proven in court. |
Odunayaw:All 3 major parties participated in some level of voter suppression, let's not claim otherwise. No need for theatrics. INEC chairman has to explain why IREV failed. We had 3 major parties win 12 states, there's no evidence that the two losing candidates would have done better than the eventual winner when they all are guilty of similar electoral offences. |
MAN1960:You must be a monumental idiot address the content, your tears won't give your candidate Presidency. |
Stormtrooper11:Again there were pockets of violence, but it was not widespread as what we have seen in the past. This is a fact that can't be disputed and a positive. Also remember INEC staff and offices were summarily attacked in the South-East prior to this election, but on and after elections we did not see that widespread attack that was predicted. We can argue all we want, but that's a fact. Explaining Rivers state election is a no issue, all aggrieved candidates should go to court and prove their case. On the issue of IREV which failed, I don't disagree that the system worked. Are we going to say there was no voter suppression in the South East for electorates voting APC. Let's be real and factual. However as the election goes the best candidate won, all other aggrieved candidates should go to court. |
Odunayaw:Brother you are a knowledgeable guy, don't tell me you have forgotten 2015 when corpers were massacred following post election violence. Haba, make we no allow our political differences undermine the achievements we don make na. Check am. Post election violence in 2003, 2015, widespread ballot box snatching was the order of the day in Nigerian elections. Are we seriously going to say this was the case in this election too? Let's be factual. I don't need to like any candidate but to wish my country and it's President well. President elect Tinubu will succeed. |
Faithful007:Violence in Nigerian elections have been a regular occurrence. However in this election there was massive deployment of military and police to stem election violence. This deployment means that while there were pockets of violence, we cannot be truthful to ourselves and claim that it was widespread. Do we not remember what happened in 2015? Are we for real? |
Stormtrooper11:Compared to 2019, 2015, 2011, 1999, 2003 and 2005. Yes, I am for real. |
Stormtrooper11:The problem is the individual is transmitting his hate for Nigeria in what is ordinarily good news. There is no vehicle manufacturer in the world that produces there vehicles all from scratch. Everyone uses vendors, it does matter where these vendors are, but they all depend on vendors what these companies do is assemble these parts. The individual who responded to me is not interested in the truth, he is simply expressing his hate because his preferred candidate did not win the Presidential election. |
Odunayaw:I came back home, and I voted. I am still home. |
Odunayaw:I want you to tell me without bias, what was flawed in this election. Remember we are talking about a Nigerian election? I don't dispute that they were problems, but what was flawed in this election compared to 2019, 2015, 2011 etc etc |
ariesbull:Do you know how a vehicle production process goes? Anyway, I can't help you. You are free to discern whatever appeals to you. If your preferred candidate you support has lost an election, go cry somewhere else. You can carry your frustrations anywhere you are, but leave it at the door when you enter this thread. |
ariesbull:Some of you guys should not let hate for Nigeria cloud your judgement. All cars produced on Earth produced by assembly parts from different vendors and suppliers. |
ariesbull:Please can you tell me in a different thread what was flawed in this concluded Presidential election? All 3 major parties won in the zones they were expected to win. Battle ground states where in the North West & North Central. Mention my moniker and I will respond. |

the most rigged election in Nigeria was 2007 and you did not even mention it. Also, we're supposed to be progressing not regressing, this election was nothing to write about. It was purely rigged, I know someone who died even in my hometown. Please, let's be truthful.
