Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike of Rivers state, on Thursday, September 22, urged Nigerians to ask Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Nigeria’s information minister, to stop allegedly peddling utterances that heat up the polity. In reaction, Alhaji Mohammed said Wike was only looking for a way he would react and elevate the governor to a decent human being.

“I cannot join words with Wike because doing so would mean elevating him to a decent human being,”

the minister, who had continuously ensured Nigerians are kept abreast of issues of national development in relation to the administration of Muhammadu Buhari, told Kabsedo.com on the phone.

Wike, who spoke during while declaring open the All Nigeria Editors Conference holding in Port Harcourt, said Nigeria was in crisis because of four major challenges which he said are

“poor governance, nepotism, marginalization and state-sponsored repression continue to do violence to national unity and cohesion.” Wike’s spokesperson, Simeon Nwakaudu, quoted the governor as urging “all well-meaning Nigerians to call on the minister of information, Lai Mohammed, to stop stoking the embers of disharmony and divisions in the polity with his irresponsible utterances and wild allegations against members of opposition political parties.”

The governor said:

“We are only pretending we think that all is well with our country. The country is in crisis as poor governance, nepotism, marginalization and state-sponsored repression continue to do violence to nation unity and cohesion. “At times like this, the country needs forthright leadership and consensus building to steer the ship of state from the wrong direction it is headed to safer grounds. “Nigerians of goodwill must therefore call the minister of information to stop stoking the ambers of disharmony and divisions in the polity with his irresponsible utterances and wild allegations against members of opposition political parties.”

He added:

“For some of us therefore, there is nothing nobler than being counted on this path and as long as God gives us breathe we shall remain in the trenches fighting for our democratic rights and freedoms until victory is ultimately achieved. “But, we also believe that this is a fight that should and must be led by the media for full effect and agenda setting. “This calls for greater vigilance and courage in giving effective voice to the contending issues and taking personal responsibility for factuality.It can’t be otherwise.”

Amid growing tension in the country, the United States Mission to Nigeria on Friday, September 15, called for end to violence in the country. The United States made this known in a tweet on Friday.

The US Mission to Nigeria said that it is joining well-meaning Nigerians to sue for peace, calling for an end to violence in the country.

The tweet read:

“The U.S. Mission to Nigeria joins the calls of Nigerian leaders and citizens across the country for an end to violence. #OutofManyOne”.

The message from the US Mission comes after southeast governors held an emergency meeting in Enugu to address issues of security in the zone. The governors subsequently banned activities of the IPOB group. The Nigerian army is currently carrying out Operation Python Dance in the Southeast with the aim of ridding the region of criminals and other activities threatening the security of the area. The deployment of the troops had led to clashes between members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the army in Abia state. Lives have been reportedly lost in the process.

The governors of of the southeast region, Ohanaeze Ndigbo and other stakeholders on Friday, September 15, after a two-hour meeting arrived at the decision to ban activities of members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), led by Nnamdi Kanu. The meeting was attended by governors Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Dave Umahi, Okezie Ikpeazu, and Willie Obiano. Imo state was represented by Eze Madumere, the state’s deputy governor.

The meeting also had in attendance Chief Nnia Nwodo, president general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Ike Ekweremadu, deputy senate president, and Gen. Adamu Abubakar, the general officer commanding, 82 Division, Enugu.

A statement after the meeting read:

“Communique Arising from the emergency meeting of South East Governors Forum at the Exco Chambers Government House, Enugu, on Friday, 15th September, 2017 “In view of the prevailing security situation in the South East and its attendant consequences, the Southeast governors hereby resolves as follows:

1. All activities of IPOB are hereby proscribed. IPOB and all other aggrieved groups are advised to articulate their position on all national issues and submit to the committee of governors, Ohanaeze Ndigbo and National Assembly members from the Southeast zone, through their chairman, Southeast governors forum.

2. All governors of Southeast zone are to ensure compliance in their respective states.

Everyone thought that it was the fault of the president that he got slapped but we are here to bring you the real incident that occurred.

Giant comrade Evangelist as the incumbent SUG is fondly called explained his ordeal yesterday to several listeners as he went to his favourite place to eat “madam P’s joint behind school”. As he sat down to eat many people started requesting to know what exactly happened of which the admin @ kabsedo.com was amongst the inquiring party. The incumbent SUG president laid down the whole story bit by bit and never missed any part.

He discussed thus:

“My department have their exam that very afternoon as we moved into the exam hall, I noticed some of my mates still outside the exam hall making noise to be allowed to write their exams, at first I couldn’t ascertain the reason for the commotion outside so I wanted to go back and inquire from them the issue and calm them down at the same time, consequently I was intercepted by an invigilator whose identity I wouldn’t disclose. He couldn’t wait till I told him why I was heading out but he suddenly raised his hands to my cheek and slapped me, involuntarily, I retorted the slap before the invigilator could hold his balance and all students who were present turned to my support”

This also gave the SUG president the chance to credit the invigilator who slapped him for his defense after the incident.

It was only yesterday that two female students of federal polytechnic Oko who designated themselves as rund girls went on a dangerous travel to portharcourt to meet their MAGA accidentally fell victims to their maga that they went to visit.

Sharing my findings reading the manual for usage for the phone I bought TECNO W5 LITE.

Mobile phone battery is as far as every literate phone user is concerned the best thing that can make a user happy using his/her phone. Using a mobile phone whose battery is non-functional or weak is a horrible experience which every phone user hates very much, which in this case I have been a victim.

I consistently thought that licking the contact point of a phone battery is a very healthy way of knowing if your battery is still alive and kicking and also to test for the charge in it. This understanding is what I knew almost every phone technician thinks its good for phone batteries but on the contrary, I was amazed to find out just today as I bought a new phone, specifically Tecno W5 lite and I proceeded to read the guide inscribed into the phone so as to make a better user.

I was suprised to find out that the actions we take everyday (licking the point of contact) thinking its designated to detect the battery life was actually wrong. Licking the battery contact point causes short circuit, rusts battery and reduces the battery efficiency.
