@kadorzy I think used the junior brother of outback before, maybe he can chime in here... really I do think it's absurd and strange for such a CC to behave that way.

I never experienced such after over 5years before I retired it for a hybrid system.
Well you can try your luck with the voltage setting calliberate to match with actual readings from an accurate multimeter.
You just need to tweak it to get it right.

I still maintain my claim, the seller cannot know everything in his/her cart.
As well as you have outright dubious guys in Alaba, so are others who fall victim either out of ignorance or grid for quick profit.
I worked in an electronics retail firm some years ago where we fell for this backdoor substandard appliances. What attracted my boss was the cheaper offer as against major distributors of Samsung and LG. The Alaba sources claimed all the brands are mass produced from same factory in China but the major distributors like fouani & Sims were ripping Nigerians off with their high prices to maintain their business profiles. The imitation was close to legit until you power the TV units here the difference is clear.
Fast forward to 6 months, we started to have returns........ Alaba guys don chop and clean mouth already. we were on our own.

However, the boss didn't stop buying, instead he sold at a lower price with a caveat of 3months warranty.

Though, this group being what it is, @justcallmenuel has to throw more light as to what happened in this case & ensure this is settled amicably. I don't subscribe to simply disregarding the complainant.

cheers you'll

I will not lay the blame at the feet of the buyer, I too almost fell for that huge price discrepancy, but because of my familiarity with trading with Alaba sources I had to caution myself.
Last night when I read the bitter experience from the buyer I felt very bad, if he'd made his intentions known maybe someone here would offer a free review for him.

For sellers, we know it is not easy to have a first hand experience with every item in your cart, but please put yourself in your potential clients shoes, how would you feel if you found out you were offered less on the value you paid for?

Please Guys, I need your inputs on this.

I installed a MUST 3KW/24V hybrid inverter yesterday but both utility and Gen can't charge the batteries except solar.

The inverter output is off with utility available which is supposed to be charging only but the icons for supplying loads from battery is what is displaying instead of Grid to battery. Tried using the generator and it was same.

Charge priority settings is : SnU ( Solar and Utility)
Input Voltage is set to: APP (Appliance 90-280V)

Anyone be it MUST/Not of Hybrid experienced this at first and how it was resolved ?

what was the displayed/actual AC input voltage when on either grid or generator?

Techfine batteries is a very good option on the budget. I have used them in several of my installations. Simply follow the general do's and don't for SMF batteries and you will just be fine with them.

For the prices you can still get much better deals that quoted above.

cheesy

Earthrealm said his works just fine.

This one we are getting different reviews. Na wa o.

Simply install your inverter AC in an enclosed space you will sure achieve the balance between optimal cooling & lower power consumption.

If you need more cooling, you have the remote to switch to full power mode.

(From Thermocool 1hp user perspective).

I currently have 9 (250W) panels in a 3S3P config mated to a Fangpusan 150V-70A charge controller on a 48V battery bank. I am thinking of adding 3 additional panels to this. Which is it safer for the CC - to have the panels in 4S3P OR 3S4P configuration?

Would have preferred the 4S3P as the cables I have already run can take the additional panels and I wouldn't want to be running additional cables to my cc.

cc Niyiomolade, earthrealm, ceasar, ojesky, spartacus11

Stick with 3s4p setup.
The FP 150|70A has a max VOC of 145V. Doing 4x250 in series will exceed this limit.

For the first time I have a need to charge my batteries via generator but for some strange reason my 3024GK is not accepting the input from generator.

It recognises the voltage and frequency by displaying the icon of current on the inverter screen but there is no charging icon and bypass icon. Has anyone experienced this on their inverter before?

Yes I have come across this this often.
What is the input frequency & voltage from the generator?

Try solar water heater.
It's not advisable to put your water heater on inverter whether they charge fast or not. Just my 2 kobo.

I really would want to try this out.
If not on my existing Inverter, how do I go about this?Would it require added infrastructure or with the existing one?

Thanks

My battery was showing 22.5V on the charge controller

I thought the scale was from 0-29

Didn’t know it was 23V-29V

So if 22.5V is very low

Then how about 24v, 25v, 26v and 27v

I need to understand the scale properly

Which one is low and which one is average

This image could guide
(This is for a rested battery)

Option 1 is not a bad idea so long as your neighbor will see value in it and ofcourse your fence light for security is good but won't be useful during the day.
Other options is to add to your battery bank and Run your cooling systems

I concur with you on the security lights, as it will be on the batteries at night.
As regards the option 1, my wife has hinted them & they agree to the terms but can't execute yet due to the lock down.

Do you have tips on waterheating option also?

Thanks for your input

Run those heavy equipment at that time: washing machine, freezers, a/c (if your system can handle that) etc during that period or get larger battery bank to keep those solar panels really busy grin

Walahi all the heavy and light loads in my house are already on - 1x1hpAC, Refrigerator, Upright freezer, 2xFans, TVs*2 et al all run from 7am ~ 6pm before we switch to conservation mode again.

Option 1 is okay. You don't need fence lights during the day.
Or
You can pump and make water available for your neighborhood.
You can run ac with the excess power.
You can boil water for later use.
You can increase your storage capacity.

*The option to pump won't be achievable without major overheads on plumbing & all.
*I literally run AC throughout the day already.
*Will really appreciate tips on this option to hear water.

Thanks for your inputs.

Hey friends...
I have a peculiar situation at hand. My system goes into float as early as 10/11 AM these days.
I'm thinking what can I do with this excess output.?

My thoughts:
1. Extend power to my neighbour's flat
2. Fence lights
.
.
.…any other ideas is welcomed.

Gracias

I've used in 6 installations with various performance and feedbacks. In my opinion they're over priced El cheapo (in Niyi's words).

Okay it seem shading is the problem; there is an electric pole beside my panels that seem to cause the problem. Can any of the gurus advice on how I can get to fix this? is there anything like shading reflector or something?
I can't even think of relocating the panels and I don't think relocating the like will help much either.
I really need to find a workaround to this as I have been under-utilizing my array.

Relocate the pole. Maybe it's a sign you should go offgrid wink

GenPal secured will hopefully get through with installation this week but will only be able to provide some useful info next week. That said I checked my log today and was at 2.7kwh by 11am and the system did 5.2kwh on Friday, which is the highest have done so far. Will see how far it goes with at least 3hrs constant GenPal load from next week.

Cheers!

GenPal for 3hrs will be in the range of 1~1.5 kWhr or even less if your preset temperature is above 28°
