Wadup nairalanders. I'm currently watching the ongoing convention at the comfort of my house in kaduna, and it has not been easy with my dad around. I'll be writing about my funny experiences, enjoy.

Lemme give you a little bit of intro.

My dad is an elder in Living Faith Foundation (different from living faith). My mom is a deaconess, and I attend Redeem....

My dad and I have always been at loggerheads about my spiritual life. He believes I'm spiritually cold unlike him a fire brand man, coupled with the fact that I'm not in any department in church (chairman Bench Warmers Association) and only attend Sunday service has not made things easier..

We talk about anything (politics sha) but when it comes to spiritual matters, k leg go dey.

I'm a simple Christian,I try to avoid any wrong doings (lying,stealing etc),my policy is 'witches don't disturb me nd I'll leave u alone' so we can both sleep at midnight, a win-win situation..nd I only av one girlfriend....I don't fast much,I pray few mins a week...just low-key stuff.....
Now that holy ghost convention az started,tinz az bin quite funny..lets go.

ON TUESDAY DAY ONE
The program started on Tuesday, at 8pm the TV was already on, we have this strong decoder we were watching from (the most useless decoder in the world) it has 95% of Christian channels. I was seated beside my dad on the couch in the living room. He wants to be pinching me should in case I start to doze off. But by master Jesus Grace I didn't.

I was doing okay (standing up doing prayers, jumping during worship,we even paid offering at home, mmm my papa shaa) my dad was quite impressed, for my mind I just want make time go make daddy adeboye start his sermon...

Finally daddy adeboye was on the pulpit. After his usual intro of prayers and worship, he asked to open our bibles to Joel (I can't really remember the chapter and verse). I totally screwed up when I said Joel is not in the bible na maybe daddy made a mistake. My daddy first looked at me, shook his head and told me to stand up and find the book of Joel. I started sweating. I didn't even know where to start from. I started opening my bible one by one from Genesis. Not until my dad flung sofa pillow on my face with succinct accuracy,I was stunned. He sha preached about how an elders son does not know his way around the bible. That he was ashamed, I just nodded, me that my mind was elsewhere...

He asked me to recite the books in the old and new testament. I started at genesis and stopped at Ruth then jumped to the new testament, started at Matthew and stopped at John. He was just shaking his head. Hmm..he told me to learn all the books in three days, and I must recite it to him..

Finally Daddy Adeboye was through, he started listing the 3 prayer points to seriously pray on (blood sucking demons, leakage, can't remember the 3rd one). So I used it as an avenue to win over my terrible night. So when the prayers started, I was jumping up and down.

Scabbashing, walking around, casting out evil spirit. I even prayed that a cat disturbing us at night should die. I looked at him with the corner of my eye and I saw him staring squarely at me. I just bone face and continued. When we rounded up I ran into my room immediately to avoid any other story. Did Airtel 25 naira for 500 naira sub to download the series scream queen......phew Wat a day....

One of the ponzi schemes in Nigeria, Ultimate Cycler has crashed, sending panic waves across many of its Nigerian members who have invested their money in it as well as those who have equally invested in others such as MMM.

The ponzi website, Ultimate Cycler went down early Thursday morning, specifically around 10:30am(Nigerian time), shutting out every member who owns an account with it.

When accessed, the site initially displayed an error line of code, before displaying ”Error 500” in bold letters, then it proceeded to display another message: “ Be right back. We are currently updating the site to give you a more pleasurable experience and will be back online shortly. Our update estimation is to be complete over the next 6 – 12 hours. Thank you, Peter Wolfing.”

Ultimate Cycler is a new ponzi scheme that followed MMM . This new money doubling scheme claims a promise of better returns on invested money than MMM.

The hook for Ultimate Cycler is members get a return of N50,000 after paying N12,500 to a fellow member he or she registered under.
As at the time of filing this report, the ponzi website has still not come to life.

Dangers for members who have invested in it or others like MMM is that when such websites go down, chances are that it never comes up again and hence, “investors'” money goes with it.

A bullion van driver has confessed to conveying the N1.219bn, which the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission alleged was delivered to the Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, in the build-up to the June 2014 governorship election in the state, which Fayose won.

Fayose is being investigated by the EFCC for allegedly receiving the N1.219bn through the Office of the National Security Adviser for his campaign in 2014, an amount said to be part of the N4.7bn allegedly diverted from the ONSA under Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.).

EFCC investigations had revealed that the N4.7bn was paid into a bank account of Sylvan McNamara, a company in which the sons of a former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, are said to be directors.

About N1.219bn was allegedly flown to Akure on a private plane during the build-up to the Ekiti State governorship election.

Fayose was alleged to have received the N1.219bn through his bosom friend, Abiodun Agbele.

The bullion van driver, Mr. Olaoluwa Omotoso, reportedly drove the bullion van to the Akure airport tarmac on June 17, 2014, to transport the N1.219bn allegedly flown from Lagos by Obanikoro.

Omotoso told EFCC detectives that he made two separate trips to the airport because of the large volume of cash.

The driver told the anti-graft agency that part of the money was taken to a bank in Alagbaka, Akure, on the instruction of Fayose’s friend, Agbele, while the remaining money was taken to Spotless Hotel, Ado Ekiti, which is owned by Fayose and his wife, Feyisetan.

A detective in the commission, who spoke to our correspondent on Thursday, said, “Omotoso explained that on June 17, 2014, he was given a directive to go to the Akure airport to convey some funds. He said he went to the airport twice to move the money. He said some of the money was taken to a bank while he, along with Agbele, moved the remaining cash to Spotless Hotel, Ado Ekiti.

“He said the money was moved in three vehicles, including one bullion van and two Toyota Hilux vans. The two Toyota Hilux vans had some soldiers inside for security while Agbele was with him in the Hilux van.

“He said he did not know exactly how much was conveyed. He explained that Agbele held the keys to the vault in the bullion van. On getting to Spotless Hotel at night, they offloaded the cash and Agbele entered the vehicle to search and ensure that no money was left behind. Agbele then returned the keys and Omotoso drove off.”

Meanwhile, the Managing Director of Zenith Bank, Mr. Peter Amangbo, has denied that the bank sponsored the governorship campaign of Fayose in 2014, contrary to the governor’s claim.

Amangbo told the EFCC that the bank had only one branch in Ekiti State, wondering why the bank would invest in Fayose when the state government had no account with the bank.

Fayose had claimed that his campaign was funded by the bank and a few private individuals.

The bank MD said at no time did he hold a meeting with Fayose and his friend, Agbele.

A source at the EFCC stated that Amangbo said at no time did he meet with Abiodun Agbele or any representative of Fayose. He said the allegation that the bank funded the Ekiti State governorship election was false.

“He further stated that at no time did Fayose and the chairman of the bank, Mr. Jim Ovia, and himself hold a meeting.

“He said the bank, as a matter of policy, did not sponsor political groups or elections.”
