gidgiddy: This is why people who speak the same language should not be subdivided into different states with those who have a completely different language
During the creation of Edo State in the 90's, the Igbanke people were carved into Edo State when they should have been left in Delta State with their fellow Ika's
This has now caused a situation where the Oba of Bini feels these people are his subjects when they are not.
Most unfortunate.
My brother the injustice in NIGERIA ddstinkss to the heavens.. Igbaanka is aan Aniomas land and for the fact that it is caved into Edo dies not give the Oba the right of claiming the territory cos that is clearly what he is doing.. Thee Igbankad never migrated to the place but it's their ancestral and ancient home which they carved into Edo.. If anyone sssuplortss this abnormally then we can rightly say thee Ijaws living in Edo should be subject to the Oba
helinues: I have been reading from some of Peter Obi's supporters bragging about how Peter Obi won some states in the 2023 election without having any governors at his side
That begs the question, apart from states in South East, which states can Peter Obi win in 2027?
Remember, the euphoria about Peter Obi being a saint/Messiah have been bursted, dismantled after the 2023 election plus how his supporters have been attacking others even when it's not necessary
Which states can Peter Obi win in 2027 outside South East?
No tantrums please
Oga why are you shitting your paints BECOS of Obi?
iwaeda: At least seven people have been killed in a fresh attack on Agbo Vengav Udam community in Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue State by suspected armed herders.
Residents told PUNCH Online that the assailants stormed the village around 7 pm on Thursday and opened fire indiscriminately, killing seven on the spot and abducting three others.
A local source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the attackers entered the community through a border village in Otukpo LGA.
“They passed through the border village of Otukpo and, entering into Agbo, they shot their guns sporadically, killing the seven people on the spot. They took away three people with them,” a resident of the affected community who did not want to state his name said.

It was gathered that an infant was among those killed and that the mother was abducted by the assailants.
The witness added that five of the bodies have been deposited in a morgue in Naka, while the families of the remaining two deceased opted to bury their dead without delay.
The incident, according to residents, has caused them to desert their homes for fear of further attacks.
Chairman of Gwer West LGA, Victor Ormin, confirmed the incident to our correspondent on the phone on Friday.
Omin, who lamented that the killing was coming after commercial vehicles were hijacked and passengers taken away, decried the activities of suspected armed herders in the local government.
The council boss said, “It’s true that scores of people were killed at Vengav Udam village within the local government Thursday night.
“Two people who are critically injured during the attack are receiving treatment in Naka hospital, and the situation is becoming unbearable, the way these armed herders are wreaking havoc in the local government and the state as a whole.”
However, calls and messages put through to the Police Public Relations Officer for Benue command, Catherine Anene, were not answered.
Recall that some gunmen intercepted two commercial vehicles about three kilometres from Naka, headquarters of Gwer West LGA, on Thursday and abducted 14 passengers.
Tiv people in una next life if una hear Fula una no go wait for the ni before una pick race. My sympathy for you people seized the moment I realized how foolish you people are cos it's only a fool that will sit and watch the systematic genocide carried out on your people without organizing yourselves for defence. It's only an idiot that will still have faith in a system that watches the daily slaughter of your people without doing a thing or lifting a finger. All the Native doctors wey dey Tiv land wetin be their work, all the ancestors of Tiv land what are they waiting for? Akume is their talking about 2027, Suswan saying the same, Paul Onongo has lost his voice Tor Tiv is confused, all the retired Generals are their mopping but if na other tribe now una go pounce on them , I no longer pity you cowards
Hate him or love him, Obi has really set a standard in Nigerian politics🥰😄 he has proved it that anyone and anybody can make an impact politically without the so called structure . Just get your acts right and tell Nigerans what they want to hear
Coder2Client: When will Christians create a terrorist group like muslims of islam do?
The Fulanis are advancing in all fronts uninterrupted and the Army Is looking other way From Niger state the south west in not safe, a Coward operation base is situated at Benue to march into the East and another at Kogi to march into the SS via Edo and all we do I is to sit and larment.
Obaaderemi2: As a Yoruba man I find it awkward to prostrate before someone who is not Yoruba no matter how old or what he has done. A respectful bow is enough. This is just eye service
That is why I call you people hypocrites cos your respect is not real but FAKE AS IT SOUNDS
sheetred: Have you noticed how often the term rare earth is being mentioned lately? These are not your typical minerals, they are a special class of elements extracted from the soil and are critical in the production of advanced technology, including airplane components, electric vehicles, smartphones, and even military systems.
Recently, due to escalating trade tensions and tariffs, China announced that it would be suspending the export of rare earth materials to the United States. This move is highly strategic and China knows just how vital these elements are to the U.S. tech and defense industries. The impact was immediate, sparking concerns and aggressive moves from the U.S., including renewed interest in Greenland for its untapped rare earth deposits. Even discussions about Ukraine’s debt repayment to the U.S. have reportedly included rare earth materials as a form of settlement.
This brings me to a crucial observation that hits closer to home right here in Nigeria.
For years, I've noticed something peculiar: China has been actively involved in extracting and exporting what we often refer to as red sand from southeastern Nigeria. From my own investigation, I’ve found that Chinese companies pay top dollar for this material. Want proof? Visit Apapa port and see for yourself how many trucks of this so-called “worthless” red sand are shipped out daily.
But here’s the million-dollar question: Why is China so interested in our red sand?
What exactly are they extracting and why are we, as a country, not taking it seriously?
It's high time we connect the dots. That "red sand" could very well contain rare earth elements. If that’s the case, Nigeria could be sitting on a multi-billion dollar resource one that could potentially fund our national budget several times over, reduce our reliance on oil, and position us as a key global player in tech-related raw materials.
Sadly, many Nigerians are unaware of the potential wealth under our feet, while foreign powers, like China, quietly make moves under the radar. And let’s not forget: the Chinese are famously secretive in their operations. We know about the U.S. Secret Service, the UK's MI6, and Russia’s KGB but how many people can name China’s intelligence agency? That alone should raise red flags.
We must demand transparency, invest in geological research, and regulate the export of our soil and minerals. If we continue to ignore this issue, we risk giving away our future quite literally by the truckload.
Final Thought: Nigeria may not need to borrow heavily or rely solely on oil revenue. The solution might already be in our soil quite literally. Let’s wake up before it's too late.

Op please change the name of the location where the Chineses are extracting the sand from south east to south west so that this thread can get the desired attention it deserves cos many only comment about bad news coming from the east but news like this give many here running stomach so that explains the few comments.. so pls edit
ruggedtimi: Read my last statement "However, the prevailing culture in Bonny/Opobo is Ijaw. Their customs, attire, titles, and names originate from the Ijaw tribe. Additionally, they have their own Ijaw language, Ibani"..Even the Opobo man go tell you say him be Ijaw man. And what is so special for an opobo man or Bonny man to be an ijaw man or igbo man. Does it come with any special benefit Do you know the lineage of the English man..From your Assertion above, An Englishman or british man is actually a German, Norwegian and celt etc.
Well I understand you just that most times some kids come to nairaland to spawn thrash thereby distorting history just to promote some ethnic sentiment.
ruggedtimi: In Opobo/Bonny, Igbo is commonly spoken, a tradition that dates back to the era of the transatlantic slave trade. The Igbo people were frequently sold as slaves through the Bonny route, and many chose to remain in Bonny, leading to the dominance of the Igbo language in the area. King Pepple of Bonny was a prominent figure in the slave trade.
However, the prevailing culture in Bonny/Opobo is Ijaw. Their customs, attire, titles, and names originate from the Ijaw tribe. Additionally, they have their own Ijaw language, Ibani
Oga please say things the way they are and damm the consequences. Opobo was bought from the King of Ndoki by the famiuse Jaja and he moved his entire family and his IJAW slaves to settle there, imany years after the death of Jaja, the IJAW clan there started laying claim to the throne of Jaja, claiming the land belongs to IJAW but after many years of protracted legal battle, the supreme court declared that the Opobo Island is the personal Estate of King Jaja and his offspring is the sole heir to his kingdom, that's the reason why Jaja children has been the king of that Island ever since.. The famiuse Mike Ahamba was one of the SANs that stood for the Jajas family. So, if Jaja is from Amaigbo in Imo state and never forgot his root which he passed down to his children who still visit their dads clan till date are not Igbos just because the land they migrated to has converted them, then every IJAW man outside Bayelsa are not Ijaws cos every settlement they claim was first esterblished by one man who paddled his canoe like Jack Sparrow to one presumed empty Island.
You guys will just be behaving as if this your Igbo tribe is the superior tribe in the world. But know it that you are most hated people in Nigeria because of this your attitudes of feeling superior to others.
See inferiority complex and engraved Jealousy in full gear oo. Wetin bring feeling superior for this matter biko nu, ha! na WA oo
So the Igbo is the most hated tribe for feeling superior but does not wish you dead or tamper with your well being but the Fulani that kills you like a house fly and does not even see you as a fellow human is the most loved according to you... My brother, you and the likes of you that reason the way you do are notting short of brainless maggots.. useless Omo ale
British-Nigerian boxing champion Anthony Joshua turned a routine haircut into a viral moment during his visit to Ogun State, Nigeria
Joshua is back on the social media trends just days after being spotted celebrating the birthday of billionaire Aliko Dangote in Lagos. Joshua spotted in his hometown, where he opted for a street-side haircut
Joshua traveled to Ogun State, his hometown, where he opted for a street-side haircut, further endearing himself to fans.
Joshua appeared at ease as the barber worked on his signature high skin fade with textured Afro top—a hairstyle he typically gets from his trusted London barber, Mark Maciver of SliderCuts.
The post, which garnered significant attention online, came with a humorous caption from Joshua himself: “Shout out to my Barba in Naija, this trim cost me 50p, but obviously we niced uncle.
Hope his SKULL IS IN TACT AFTER THE BARNING COS I DONT TRUST YORUBAS WITH SKULLS

MightySparrow: What will split Nigeria has finally come.
My own is that, all those crretens on this forum that will sit in Abuja and Lagos from Jan to Dec without travelling to their villages, supporting this terrorist directly or indirectly BECOS of politics they will surely fall victims of this terrorist one day and by then, no matter the amount they pay as Ransome they will not leave their alive. Call mee what ever name you choose to call me I don't care but watch and see what will happen to you all.. As long as you support or talk down on this attricites or insult anyone that has been vocal about this crime against humanity from the onset, may you all be victims of this wickedness. As for the Fulanis, their cup is gradually getting full and the day we will raise against them in this country, not even their disables will be spared.
whatmoreng: Must you drag ibos into everything? I am not ibo but am tired of this rubbish
Don't mind the hopes fool.. I use to tell people that the snake that deciefved Eve in the garden of Eden is a Yoruba snake no doubt about that. Very slimmy and trickish demons in human form, all the while Edo was Yoruba and upon a sudden, Edo has faces some difficult situation all of a sudden they started denying the same Edo out of cowardice and they are now Igbos.. Useless set of humans.
Sharpsharp00123: Igbos fueled the crisis on twitter n were even mocking them that they should run them with pig oil before burning them to go n meet their 72 virgins
That's d reason y the north attacked d Igbos in return cos na Igbos carry d matter for head pass
That's what happens when u can't keep quiet
You people's obsession with the Igbos are worst than that of any abokis threatening to attack the Igbos outside. You in the social media are worst of and God will surely judge you all in the same way you intentionally propagate hate against the Igbos. For your info cos I know you don't travel, Igbos are not the only southern folks in Kano infact I one witnessed a riot in the north were the Yorubas were not also spared, the only place we're the Yorubas are safe was in Sabon gari controlled by Igbos. If you like they mumu yourself as a Yoruba goat wey you be as for Igbos we go defend ourselves Wella, make them enter sbon gari make we see the outcome.
mrvitalis: One thing I have always said is if I ever decide to be governor or president Economics would be made compulsory in all schools from SS1 to university 200 level...
Volume of debt or size of debt is not an issue Ability to repay is the issue
Someone can owe 2 million and be worse than someone who owe 10 billion
In nigeria the issue we talk about is our revenue to debt servicing is too high..
We need to increase revenue, sadly the only way to do that is to borrow more but use it for what would generate revenue or ability to pay back the loan
So borrowing and using it to build road, bridge, rails, and the reat feel good projects is foolishness... Very big foolishness
