Play store opens with or without 3G. D5 and D3 have no 3G yet play store opens on both.

The phone comes with du battery saver, use it. it's the one i'm using now or downlod dx battery.

GODVILLA, OLIVERSAMUEL and other gurus, is it safe to delete the pre-installed go launcher on this phone? i've already deleted the antivirus by using DX toolbox.

As for L800 abeg na fake you but...the phone handles java apps well and supports multitasking plus push notification for fb and twitter.

am not a fan boy of either tecno or gionee, just sharing my experience with the phones i've mentioned, i used pioneer p1 currently using p2 and planing to upgrade to CTRL V4 cos i believe gionee is better than tecno in the smartphone segment. like i said earlier i have use S80 and L800 they both comes with opera mini pre-installed but if u try installing uc browser, u get a message of "out of memory". i'm not sure if you have used the L800 or S80, don't just read the specs online and jump into conclution, wait till you get a hands on first, but you are entitled to own opinion. cheers.

But their java phones are a disappointment to say the least, i've used both L800 and S80 they can't handle opera mini properly, uc browser is a no go area i can categorically tell you that they are not anywhere near tecno java phones with the same price tag. Gionee need to improve on that segment.

Luvties: Mtn night plan of 3gig plus bonus of 1.5gig to use even at day time is the best. it cost only 2k5, no fear of blocking whatsoever.

I would have advice to go for Tecno P5 since you are enjoying another tecno phone, but as you have mentioned a good camera and quality display, i think you should go for Gionee P2. it has all the things you listed latest android 4.2.2, plus a bigger screen than your p3.

Bros don't jump to conclution yet, cos tecno can be inconsistent at times. remember how N3,D3,D5 all comes with a good battery, but later on Q1 comes with a rather weak ba3, then comes L3 with an almost perfect ba3, weeks later they released M3 with the poorest ba3 so far and now this p5 seems to be okay. so lets wait for m5 and see.

Just so you know the rival displays 16.9m colours while p5 displays just 256k colours. so there is a huge diffrence there.

Oliversamuel: bro i too used m3,the phone disappointed me badly b4 i sold it to get a gionee p2, Gionee p2's ba3 can last times two of m3 to be sincere, last week friday there was blackout in my area for 3 good days,i never felt it at all,upto to a point when my ba3 was about 9%,around 12:26pm i used it for browsing till 3 when it got to to 4% then i slept off only to to my greatest surprise when i woke up to notice it is also at 4%, Gp2's camera is bright and clear,it is pure 5mp camera,the pix i do take at night is pure and bright because the flash is truely led and shiny..!!

@Oliversamuel i need ur honest opinion on two things. 1. how long can the battery of p2 lasts on heavy usage(as in browsing). 2. can you snap a good and clear picture in total darkness with p2? these are the most important things i want in a phone and are the two things that disappointed me about my M3.

I'd rather give Gionee P2 a try and see if they will be sincere with their specs, cos my M3 though a very good phone but I'm disappointed with the camera which is supposed to be 5mp but it is not even closer to 3mp, in fact the 0.3 front camera is far better.

Dx battery + Dx toolbox = healthy phone.
