If you are bolt Partner or Driver in Lagos, kindly share your experience here: - Considering the unpredictable traffic situation in some parts of Lagos, is it lucrative? - How much on the average do you make weekly, working from morning till evening daily excluding weekends? - What are the challenges specific to Lagos with being a partner or driver with bolt? - Would you recommend a friend to be a partner with bolt. - Any other useful info... I need this survey/shared experience because I have thought of being a partner with bolt. I have a driver that is assigned to my family. My family's daily itinerary is fixed and this makes my driver and my car idle from 8am to 8pm daily. Registering the car and the driver with bolt has been considered to roll extra bucks into the family's purse and increase my driver's take-home as he will get commission from money made from bolt, apart from the salary he is being paid presently. Your comments will be appreciated! |

https://pulzenaija.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/falz-new.jpg Popular Nigerian rapper, Folarin Falana, popularly known, as Falz has called on Nigerians to stop further attacks of South African business located in Nigeria. The singer also called on Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to provide solution to xenophobic attacks on Nigerians living in South Africa. Falz said this while reacting to a statement by Osinbajo on his Twitter page condemning the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians and other African nationals in South Africa. Osinbajo had on Tuesday condemned the xenophobic attacks describing it as unfortunate. But, Falz responding to his comment on Twitter, asked Osinbajo to reveal actions being taken by the Nigerian government. He wrote: “We all know what it is, What is being done about it? The rapper further called on Nigerians to stop violent attacks on businesses in Nigeria. According to him, violence will not solve the problem but rather heightens it. “This a very difficult time for everyone but violence is never the answer. “Attacking people or vandalizing businesses in Nigeria will not solve the problem, but will rather make things worse. “We are hurting our own selves! Please,” Falz added. DAILY POST had reported that some angry Nigerians on Tuesday invaded an outlet of Shoprite along Lekki-Epe expressway in Lagos State. The youths, who were reacting to the renewed xenophobic attacks on Nigerians residing in South Africa, were seen chanting violent songs during the attack. Men of the Nigeria Police Force, however, prevented the youths from breaking into the mall of South Africa-owned Shoprite. https://pulzenaija.com/gist/xenophobicattacks-we-are-hurting-ourselves-falz-condemns-attacks-on-mtn-shoprite-others-by-nigerians/ |
https://pulzenaija.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/pjimage-6.jpg The Advocacy for Integrity and Economic Development (AIED) has advised the Federal Government of Nigeria to put all options on the table in dealing with the unending xenophobic attacks against Nigerians in South Africa. The organization in a statement on Tuesday signed by its Director of Media and Publicity, O’Seun John, condemned the targeted harassment, killings and destruction of Nigerian business in South Africa allegedly aided by the South African government. According to the statement, “We have taken time to study various reports of the xenophobic attacks against nationals of African countries and India in South Africa and we have come to the conclusion that these attacks are not only intentional and unprovoked but that they are being carried out with tactical approval of the South African government. “In any country around the world, the deliberate targeting of citizens of another country and killing of same is a concise invitation to war. “We implore the Nigerian Government to take off the kid-gloves and stand firm to protect its citizens and the pride of the country. “The Nigerian Government should as a matter of urgency begin the process of nationalizing all assets and businesses of South African interest in the country. “Furthermore, the Federal Government should convey an emergency meeting of the Joint Chiefs of Staff to consider all available military options and break all diplomatic ties with South Africa. “In the interim, the government should start an emergency evacuation process of all Nigerians and assets in South Africa, recall the Nigerian Ambassador to the country and send the South African diplomats in Nigeria back home. “This time, it is important Nigeria is decisive and firm with its decision. It must not only be known to bite but be seen to bite as well. https://pulzenaija.com/news/xenophobia-buhari-told-to-consider-military-action-against-south-africa/ |
Reverend Elisha Noma of Nigeria Baptist Church, Angwan Makiri, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen near Udawa, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State. This comes barely two weeks after a Pastor in charge of Living Faith Church, Angwan Romi, Kaduna, Jeremiah Omolewa was killed and his wife abducted. According to The Nation, armed kidnappers, numbering about 20, stormed the village around 1:30 am Wednesday and forced their way into the Pastor’s house and went away with him and his son. The kidnapper later freed the son, Emmanuel Elisha, who was threatened to go and raise unspecified amount of money as ransom. They threatened the son that the father would be killed if he failed to provide the ransom within five days. According to the pastor’s son, “They came around 1 am. They were about 20 armed men and started hitting at doors but nobody opened. “They then forced their way into houses and vandalised properties. They carted away some valuables including mobile phones and clothing in my mother’s box. “They picked me together with my father. But after a while into the bush, I was released and they went away with my father. One of them was dressed in military camouflage. “As they released me, they threatened that if we fail to bring money in five days even though they didn’t mention the specific ransom, they will kill him. “We are yet to report to the police because even when we had similar experience in the past and we contacted them, they did not do anything about it. So, it is of no use,” he said. https://pulzenaija.com/news/just-in-another-pastor-kidnapped-in-kaduna-abductors-give-family-5-days-ultimatum/ |

The Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle, Tuesday organized the Sharo cultural festival for repentant Fulani bandits as part of the peace pact embraced by the former hoodlums. The Sharo Fulani event, which is a yearly event organised at the end of the Eid-el-Kabir festival, was last held eight years ago due to the insecurity occasioned by banditry. Matawalle invited the Fulani people and the repentant bandits for the festival in fulfilment of the peace agreement and reconciliation his government reached with the ex-bandits. PULZENAIJA gathered that over 30,000 persons attended the festival where Fulani popular cultural activities were displayed. Government functionaries, Fulani leaders and repentant bandits graced the event very happily. The Governor commended the reformed bandits and the Fulani leaders for accepting the peace initiatives brought up by his administration. He expressed satisfaction that this year’s Eid-el-Kabir was celebrated without any killing or kidnapping in the state. Matawalle stated, “I want to use this opportunity to thank my Fulani brothers for accepting the peace accord. “This year’s Eid-el Kabir is the only one we witnessed where no live was lost as a result of banditry,” he said. The Governor promised that his administration would soon come out with welfare packages for the Fulani people to enable them lead a decent life. https://pulzenaija.com/news/zamfara-gov-matawalle-organizes-sharo-festival-for-repentant-fulani-bandits/

Buhari said this while assuring that he would use his second term in office to improve on the lives of Nigerians. He spoke while addressing leaders of various communities from five Local Government Areas of Daura Emirate, who paid him a visit as part of Eid El-Kabir celebration in Daura, Katsina State, on Tuesday. A statement by his Media Aide, Garba Shehu quoted the President as saying he was convinced that majority of Nigerians understand who he was and his mission, on account of which they returned him for a second term in office. According to Buhari: “You know how much I laboured to get here. I ran three times in the past. “The fourth time, God used technology to do it for me. The fifth time I ran (February 23, 2019), I went to all the states of the federation. The turnout of crowds was overwhelming. “Truly, the people know and understand my mission. This is what the votes showed. The administration will dwell on our campaign issues — security, economy and corruption. But there is a more important thing to keep in mind that signing up for every club or team available to you. It is vital to look for a way to serve in a high level of responsibility in the extracurriculars you’re most passionate about. The way you write about the things you’re involved in will be the thing that shows your excitement. Reviewers would much prefer reading an application by a student who loves something they are not familiar with or cannot relate to than an applicant who is writing about something they think is wanted on their application. Take Advantage of Community Becoming part of volunteer work is easy, free and priceless. It is also a big part of what could be the thing that makes your application unique. Community service work presents proof that students understand and consider a world outside of what’s going on with them. There are so many projects you can get involved in to help the community. Go pick up trash from the beach, start a nonprofit effort, raise money or awareness for something meaningful, or get creative in finding other fun ways to serve the community. Community service is one of the most important and impressive parts of the scholarship application process. Recruiters remind students to build relationships with community leaders and those deeply involved in spearheading community service, whose recommendations may help their scholarship applications. As you serve the community, keep in mind that serving with someone or under someone who would be able to write you a future personal recommendation works in your favor. Enjoy Essay-Writing Have you considered why you can’t enjoy the process of writing scholarship applications? Many students approach this part in a begrudging manner, but what if they looked at it as an enjoyable activity instead? Many scholarship participating companies grant thousands of dollars every month for essays on topics that are not serious or even based in reality, giving plenty of ability to use creativity. Dig into all the resources that will help you to prepare to write these essays. Take full advantage of your English classes and essay assignments by asking for your teacher’s thoughts and critiques about how you can advance your writing skills. Another way to prepare to write these essays is to look through college essay-writing guides that will show you precisely what is looked for and how to prepare in the meantime. If you’re struggling to write using the prompts and your experiences, you can try getting all your thoughts out on a phone recording and then transferring it over to the page when they are all out. Sometimes it flows better when it is spoken before it is written. Begin Locally There are tons of students who are competing for nationally offered scholarships. This means it is a good idea to begin with local scholarship offers first. School counselors usually have all the details about local programs, details that they are willing and excited to share. On top of that, close friends and family might be knowledgeable about scholarships or help offered by neighborhood businesses and organizations. A good thing to try is using your social media platforms to ask those local if they have any information on scholarships. The truth is, you will find endless amounts of commercials for national scholarships funded by major companies. Though it is good to apply to these, there are usually innumerable amounts of students competing for those. Beginning your search with ones in your local community means there will be less competition. Try Online Resources Even if you are a student who is convinced that you won’t qualify for scholarships or a student who has tried every avenue possible to no avail, you might find something that fits your qualifications or abilities online. There are so many free search engines at your fingertips that can help you find scholarships. There is no need to pay money for this. Some of the best sites you can start your search with are: DiscoverStudentLoans.com, Scholarships.com, ScholarSwag, and Scholarship America. If you want help that is more in-depth than online support and you are willing to pay for it, there are many paid scholarship finders. The only thing we ask is that you remember these fees can add up quickly. Every dime you spend on finding scholarships is a dime taken away from college fees! Many students find relief in winning awards. They feel as if a heavy burden is off their shoulders, allowing them to focus on their high school experience. Say Thanks When You Win A simple written or verbalized thank you can go a long way. If you’ve obtained a scholarship from a smaller company, let them know how much you appreciate it. These small gestures are what keep you on people’s radar. This can have a significant impact when it comes to applying for more scholarship awards in years to come. Final Thoughts on the Pepsi Scholarship Regardless of which Scholarship you are applying for, whether it be the Pesi Scholarship or one of the millions of other Scholarships out there, rest assured that taking this advice to heart will be one of the most helpful things to accompany you in your search. Every single student is capable of applying and earning scholarships. But the beginning of winning happens in the time leading up to application season. Get involved, apply locally, make a difference in your community, build relationships with people who could write you recommendations that will make a difference, write your Scholarship essays on things you are passionate about, and remember to always use your manners when you do win scholarships. Your journey to finding scholarships is well on it’s way if you follow these steps! We hope you are able to apply for the Pesi Scholarship and that you are one of the winners!
