Nigeria will only be better when we start doing the right thing and at the right time.
We have all it takes to live a comfortable life but those in the affairs of this Nation derive joy in diverting our resources to their selfish interest.
Even the devil dey respect our leaders when it comes to looting.

My dear you no lie jare!!!!! Don't mind people let them be shivering like something I don't know. I settled in Fagge LGA for sometime before moving to Sabon-gari LGA, mheeeeeen I really had fun to d fullest!!!

Not even with the sight of IGBO boys making crazy money over there both office executives and shop traders. U will notice small boys below 22-23 driving good cars living large (in fact I'm really think seriously)

I got to chat with a guy on my way back who worked for Dangote Group of companies, he was transfered to Kaduna nd he got 3bedroom flat for 100k for a year(including all d agreement ooo) in Kaduna south. Now tell me where can u get that in lagos here?

Even of the Shiites stuff newspapers painted heavily negative wasn't it at all. I was in Zaria(Kaduna) and a day after everything died down. But here in lagos weeks after the papers keep writing rubbish on zaria.
Your head dey there. Lol
My aunt came to spend christmas with us she couldn't believe what she saw,she was like 'I dey lagos dey get HBP for una because of bokoharam but una dey live as if na lagos una dey' Come and see how lively ktown was during this festive season.
Most organizations encourage their staffs to grow academically I doubt if it is common in the southwest or east. My younger brother got a job with ND in FBN,he continued his studies, graduated, served(ghost corper),presently he is at the final stage of confirmation as a core staff. That's one of the few privilege of working in the north.

Yep... I intend doing my masters in a year frm now... its a good job
You can even go for your masters program at Bayero university, its is very affordable. Kano is a place you can comfortably use one stone to kill two birds.
CareerRe: Job Resignation. .. by KanoAbiaBabe(f): 9:51pm On Jan 06, 2016
People saying kano is not safe are among those who sees Kano as a dead zone, kano is a paradise compare to the northeast, forget what the paper tells you sometimes they overhype it. My dear kano is lovely and the people are friendly and accommodating.
Most people that left kano are back with full force.
No where in this nation is safe, safety comes from above(God),your parents should wish you luck and pray for you.
I promise you your orientation about kano will change after your six months and you won't want to go back.
Hoping to welcome you with enough suya, burasa, fura da nono, kunu and other kaya dadi. Lol

Well, I've only spent a week in Kano, lets say I've been to few beautiful places in kano so probably you are right...but don't you think this two statements @bolded are contradictory??
I used a "bit dirty", meaning that is the little disadvantage of a few towns in kano, despite that the town is still more beautiful than Ibadan . No place is perfect sha .Lol

Lol True that,

.

I'm not disputing the facts that you mention above, all I'm trying to point out is that there's no state capital that doesn't have slums. Your Monicker is quite revealing that you might have travelled to many cities in Nigeria,

.
I've been to Kano and it has its fair share of slums just like Ibadan.... both cities are not the most beautiful right now because they are old cities; but then decades before and after independence they were one of the most beautiful cities not only in Nigeria but in west Africa.
Yes dear, I love traveling and I ve come to conclusion that the north is the best place for me to stay(for now). Kano is far far beautiful presently than Ibadan, the major challenge Kano have is the fact that its a bit dirty, kodus to Ajimobi who helped in rebuilding Ibadan especially Mokola roundabout/flyover and Agodi resort.

You have to accept that "30% of that beautiful Ibadan" land mass makes up about 70% of most state capital land mass in Nigeria. I've been to Ibadan and I have seen many state capital and I must confess that Ibadan is not only one of the biggest state capital in Nigeria but one of the oldest.
I don't dispute the fact that Ibadan is one of the oldest but definitely not one of the most beautiful. I love and miss Ibadan before of their peaceful nature.
RomanceRe: Is Pimples A Turn Off For You? by KanoAbiaBabe(f): 7:11pm On Jan 06, 2016
Pimples really dealt with me, during those period I try looking neat and full of confidence. Spent money, went to different hospital still no avail but immediately I removed my mind from it,it got tired and started disappearing. Thanks to God because it was really a burden to me.
HealthRe: Please Help....i Forget Things Easily These Days... by KanoAbiaBabe(f): 6:40pm On Jan 06, 2016
Take time off from work, reduce the way you think, sometimes thinking makes one forget things, above all talk to God in prayer and he will give you a sound and retentive memory. It is well with you.
TravelRe: Welcome To Ibadan City (pictures) by KanoAbiaBabe(f): 6:30pm On Jan 06, 2016
OP is just showing us shoprite,UI,Agodi resort and other beautiful places. Just less than 30% of Ibadan is beautiful. Ibadan is one funny city in terms of development. Just a drive of an hour from a beautiful city only to behold one deserted village from the same local government, example IDO LG.
The only thing good about ibadan is the peaceful and affordable life style.

PoliticsRe: Nairalander Pays Homage To Emir Sanusi Of Kano (Pictures) by KanoAbiaBabe(f): 8:03pm On Dec 20, 2015
Jarus:
Sanusi is neither a bigot nor a thief. I can say that anywhere.

Yes, he's my mentor, far before he became CBN boss, I've been his admirer. Wish I could retrieve a a NL thread of 2008 where role models were being discussed and I listed Sanusi (FBN CEO ) and Fola Adeola as mine. That was before he became CBN governor.

I know SLS on personal basis and he's neither a thief nor a bigot, except of course like everyone is proud of his ethnic origin, he's proud of being a Fulani man. We have discussed this extensively on NL around 2009/2010 and not sure I have the time and energy to go into back and forth again.

What do I like in him? I have listed that many times on NL.

1, Like me, he combined corporate job with writing and intervening in national discourses.

2, He's largely fearless and courageous.

3, He read wide.
. Guess u r not a northerner. One of the negative thing about Sunusi is the fact that he has no feelings for the poor, maybe becos he has never tasted poverty all this life. I have no problem with him,but he is nowhere to compared to late Ado bayero ,We the southerners miss him.
Congrats dear, more grease to ur elbow.
