[s]Dumb illiterate almajiri, if only you attended school instead of carrying begging plates and scavenging around, you would have known about things like middle men, transportation costs, warehousing and the rest.

If a bag of beans is sold for 20 naira in Sokoto and buyers transport it to P.H, settle your corrupt police and custom that mount roadblock every one kilometer, pay for warehouse before selling to the retailer who then sells to the end user, don't you know that all those costs would have been added that made the beans to cost 150 naira in P.H?

In that same P.H, the average beans seller lives in a good house and sells in a standard shop (which would be paid for), unlike your fellow almajiris that sleep in inhuman shacks and push barrow about because you don't want to live like normal human beings and pay rent!

Igbos are greedy and sell things expensively according to you hateful bigots, yet they control wholesale and retail trade accross Nigeria? What stopped you guys from taking advantage of the so-called Igbo "greed" to establish your own businesses and sell cheaper?

You all are so daft that it embarrasses me to share a country with such disgusting elements.

Politics / Cross River Police Command: Renovate Apartments Or Vacate Barracks by KanoFirstSon: 2:14pm On Nov 18, 2021
As seen from a blog...

Cross River Police Command Give Personnel Ultimatum To Renovate Their Apartments With Their Salary Or Vacate Barracks

The police personnel who reside in the various barracks have been asked to fix their sewage, do the painting, fix hand rails and build broken areas, in their residential blocks or face ejection.

CrossRiverWatch gathered that it was the new State CP that called the barracks leaders to start the process and the Deputy Commissioner in charge of administration was mandated to carry out the supervision and whoever fails should be thrown out of the barracks.

Our reporters say some of the policemen have started complying while others are saying their salaries are too meagre to be spent on fixing federal government buildings.

It was also gathered that, to get an accommodation in the barracks in Calabar the state capital, even serving police personnel are charged up to 150k by a syndicate that gives out the barracks accommodation before you can get a space.

Education / Re: Top Ten Most Educated Nigerian Tribes by KanoFirstSon: 9:40am On Nov 17, 2021
seunolu7:
Top 10 Most Educated Tribes In Nigeria

We’ll untangle the confusing, difficult, and unclear position of Nigeria’s most educated tribe below. Below is the list of the most educated tribes in Nigeria.

10. Isoko
This is a lesser-known minority group from the Niger Delta region that is actually well-educated. The Isoko people are an ethnic or cultural group who live in the Delta and Bayelsa states of Nigeria. They are a people from southern Nigeria, near the Niger delta in the northwestern part of the country. The 36 states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria include Delta State and Bayelsa State. There are noteworthy people in the education field, and the tribe is among Nigeria’s top ten most educated tribes.

9. Ibibio
The Ibibio are a group of people from southern Nigeria who live along the coast. They are predominantly located in the states of Akwa Ibom and Cross River; they are also from the Niger Delta region and are among the country’s most educated tribes.

They are linked to the Efik and Annang Igbo peoples. During Nigeria’s colonial period, the Ibibio Union petitioned the British for recognition as an independent nation.
8. Calabar
Calabar is a port city near the Cameroon border in southern Nigeria. Cross River State’s capital is located on a hill near the Calabar River and the Cross River delta. The city’s older portions, such as Henshaw Town, Duke Town, and the waterfront area, are filled with British colonial architecture. Duke Town Cathedral is one of Nigeria’s oldest cathedrals, dating back to the 19th century. The river may be seen from the surrounding cemetery. Calabar is ranked number eight on our list.

Although the comedic accent portrayed in Nollywood films has raised some doubt. We have a lot of educated Calabar folks who don’t have awful intonation.

7. Ijaw
The Ijaw people live in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria, in the states of Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, Ondo, and Rivers. As migratory fishers, they can be found in camps as far west as Sierra Leone and as far east as Gabon. The Ijaws have a population of 3.7 million people, according to various estimates. This group of people includes educated individuals. Through education, Ijaw people seek knowledge, self-improvement, and self-development. Ijaw has a significant number of educated people; suffice it to say, the tribe is among Nigeria’s most educated.

6. Itsekiri
The Itsekiri are a Yoruba subgroup from Delta State in Nigeria’s Niger Delta. The Itsekiris are people who live largely in the Delta State local government districts of Warri South, Warri North, and Warri southwest on Nigeria’s Atlantic coast. This is one of Nigeria’s most well-educated tribes.

The Tribes listed above are remarkable for having a large number of educated members. They are thought to be among the Top 10 Tribes in Nigeria with the most educated individuals, according to studies.

5. Urhobo
The Urhobos are people who live in southern Nigeria, near the Niger Delta in the northwest. The Urhobo ethnic group is the largest ethnic group in Delta State, one of Nigeria’s 36 states. The Urhobo language is spoken by the Urhobos. Rather than a location, the term Urhobo refers to a group of people. This group is well-educated and enters pastoral ministry, which means they have a higher level of influence over their followers.

4. Edo
Edo State is one of the Nigerian states, located in the country’s southern portion. When it comes to civilization, the Edo tribe is one of the most civilized in the country, owing to their high rate of illegal migration to other countries and other factors.

Someone can, nevertheless, claim to be cultured but uneducated. The Edo people are cultured and educated and can be considered among the country’s best-educated. Benin Metropolis, the state capital, and largest city in Nigeria’s fourth-largest city and the heart of the country’s rubber industry. The Edo people are Nigeria’s most educated tribe. Edo people can be found in almost every field. You’d be hard-pressed to find an Edo man who isn’t educated.

3. Hausa people
For Hausa tribes, I remove the cap. This tribe is among Nigeria’s most well-educated. Look about you and you’ll notice plenty of reasons why they should be ranked third. The Hausa people are the most powerful in politics. They understand politics, and leadership requires educated individuals. There are as many educated Hausas as there are illiterates in Hausa land, but the educated Hausas and their output outnumber the illiterates.

[s]2. Igbo People
When it comes to Nigeria’s educated tribes, this group is the talk of the town. Academically and economically, the Igbo people are fortunate. Take it from me: an Igbo man in business is just like an Igbo man in school. He is hardworking and successful. Igbo people also have high number of graduates, learned people, and so on.[/s]

1. Yoruba
Yorubas are Nigeria’s most educated tribe. Yoruba people have a reputation for being in top positions. This indicates that they are well-educated. Education is the only way to become a senior executive in a large corporation where the Yoruba tribe is dominant. In Nigeria, the Yoruba people were the first to adopt western education, which caused them to recognize the importance of education early on. They are Nigeria’s most educated tribe.

The above cancelled tribe should be on the last row. They’ve shown to be du*b in the past few months. They cheer State actors. Their region is currently impoverished due to foolishness by their beloved ipobians

Politics / South East Youths Resorting To Drug Abuse Due To Frustration by KanoFirstSon: 11:56am On Nov 16, 2021
Presently,The media is agog with the spate of drug abuse in the south east. South east youths now abusing Methamphetamine Hydrochloride which is a very addictive stimulant drug so prevalent in the South East according to most reports.
Drug abuse, including drug addiction and trafficking, has a universal ramification that transverses socioeconomic, religious, cultural and ethnic boundaries (Oyakhilome, 1990). The Nigerian Government and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), through policies, have tried to stem its tide in the country but despite these efforts, there has been a consistent rise in the number of cases especially among adolescents (10-25 years of age) (NDLEA, 2012).
Now the major question being asked is why this drug is currently abused among the youths of the South East and so popular in the region. Most quarters are insinuating that the cause of this drug abuse could have arisen from the unrest and violence carried out currently in the region.
Youths of the east are now so restless and most out jobs due to the ceaseless activities of the proscribed group in the region. This group called IPOB is believed to have contributed majorly to this drug abuse by always shutting down means of livelihood of the people of the region in the name of sit at homes. Businesses in the region are shutting down on the daily, people are rendered jobless,Youths of the region don’t seem interested anymore in helping their lives either by going to school or finding meaningful things to do...they’ve now resorted to drug abuse to relieve stress, to ward off frustration and feel happy.

Youths say no to drug abuse...Nigeria must prevail.
