You can drool more over my comment and encourage him to continue with the job and lament. There are people who have gone abroad to study and many more will go even when they had no job.

He could either run with the little information and seek ways to harness the best of it or remain in his state and lament more.

20 to 25k is the norm for mai guard on the island. Go and ask anyone. Some even pay more than that. May be you should get a job as a mai guard because you seem to have a very low IQ.
