If this is correct, it certainly means buhari has never tried any of the ways listed above. |
Egbon you don't need to go back and forth with the ignoramaus. If he cannot research and educate himself then words coming from you will only seem like a challenge to his ignorant mindset.. Who knows, his ego may be preventing him from seeing the light because he has been hailed for being the most intelligent person in his community. Xisnin: |

What kind of stupid accusation is that? Evil spirt that was in Yemen convincing terrorists to throw grenade on people when he was raping, is who he is accusing? Is he now saying that the evil spirit is omni- present? |
I was listening to this case in the brekete radio show and I am appalled at the way the ministry of education handled this case. First of all, the situation arose not only from sodomy but also alleged murder and cannibalism. This was brought to lime light by a visibly shaken student of the school, who had undergone the brutal allegations and survived by God's grace. Yet reports indicate that the victim's mother's life is under threat for exposing the ills of the school by the same ministry of education; secondly, the arrested sodomist was said to have confessed to a crime put before him, but no record of the confession was given to the committee set up to oversee the allegations. That is to say, did he confess to sodomy or also cannibalism and murder?? The report is said to be hidden by the ministry of education because they don't want to expose themselves of being incompetent in handling government schools. The ills Tha happen in the society under government watch is irking.only God will svae us all. ikewaterwater: |

But was it cited in the electoral act?? Not debunking it's historic existence, just saying is it covered by national law?? CilicMarin: |
My dear friend, don't be too quick to write off a whole race.. Will you believe that even in the wake of Adolf Hitler, there were Germans who opposed his rules and principles? Same exists in every race, tribe and religion: though there may be bad eggs, the good eggs do exist.. Now if the good ones have cried out, I think we should extend an arm of goodwill to them, perhaps our love may win the bad ones over and subject them to surrender. Just my two cents! Bossontop: |
I don't think they are desperate. Rather I will agree with the change because every bill is subject to ammendment as a nation progresses in time and function... Since new protocols like card readers etc have been introduced to the electoral sequence, I believe amendments should be made to cover this. Or what do you think? CilicMarin: |

An article on the rift in Labour party and INEC's role in the rift.. It's time for the common man and all Nigerian youths to come out and hav a voice |
THE LABOUR PARTY SAGA By Onyekwelu Nnaemeka. The year 2002 was a formidable year for Nigeria which survived the lengthy dictatorial rule of past military regimes and an advent of a young democratic era marred by gross corruption and unorchestrated agendas associated with early democracy, thus bringing about massive stagnation in national progress. It was for this purpose that a group of highly envisioned, polished and vibrant revolutionaries ,came together to form a democratic alliance with a reverberating name ‘Labour party’, enameled at taking the country forward as its motto indicates. The party became a launch pad for political stalwarts such as Olusegun Mimiko, Senator Ovie Omoagege, Adams Oshiomhole et al; who excelled in taking their designated portfolios to fertile grounds using the party’s motto “Forward Ever” as a watch word in carrying out their numerous national functions. But as the proverbial saying goes “In every twelve, there is a Judas.” this was the case of the appointment of Alhaji Abdulsalam Abubakar as the national chairman of Labour Party. It is no secret that Alhaji Abdul, who didn’t get the memo on the Nation’s democratic transition and held hard reins to his dictatorial style of leadership, ran an administration that was marred with excessive scandalous vices ranging from embezzlement to arrogated undue power and forgery. A former Governorship aspirant under the party’s banner, Engr. Christian Ikechukwu, allegedly stated that he was not given party forms after making the requisite payments due to the corruption marred by Alhaji Abdul’s administration. It should also be noted that under Alhaji’s brazen tyrannical rule, a whopping sum of #1,344,047,000 [one billion, three hundred and forty our million, forty seven thousand] naira was actualized from the sales of expression of interest forms, nomination forms and waivers to aspirants, yet ninety percent of the party’s secretariat staff refused coming to work over 8 months unpaid salaries rendering bread winners of various staff homes beggars. Perhaps, it will not go short to say that their salaries could not be paid because the money set aside for salary payments was swallowed by the notorious Nigerian snake. This also goes to say that since 2015, Abdulsalam has never held party meetings to agree on the way forward for the party, but rather enjoyed administering the party through executive fiat. This led to the National working committee{NWC} of the Labour party, setting up a disciplinary committee giving Alhaji Abdulsalam and the party’s treasurer, Mrs Oluchi Opara, an opportunity to respond to allegations set before them; and as the saying goes ‘The guilty have something to hide’, they never surfaced and refused appearing before the committee. As a result of this, Alhaji Abdulsalam was ousted at a national convention on a consensus of more than two- thirds majority vote of no confidence in tune with the labour party’s 2009 constitution which states “The national party chairman may be suspended or removed from office on a vote of no confidence passed by at least two- third majority at a convention solely for the consideration of such motion.”. In line with this, a great political visionary, a philanthropist and an astute business man in the name of Dr Mike Omotosho, emerged as the new party chairman with a great vote of confidence amongst party members in putting the party back on track. But Alhaji Abubakar whose furore is to hold on to power at all cost, employed the norms of unchartered political principles associated with unprincipled political debauchee and total disregard for the rule of law. It was for this cause that he breached a court injunction in all his tyrannical majesty, suspending him from the party’s secretariat which in turn landed him in the unforgettable custody of the Nigerian Police Force. Although the acts of Alhaji Abdulsalam does not come as a complete shock as the great Abraham Lincoln once said “In the presence of great attributes, lesser and greater evils shall abound”, as in the case of Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther king jnr and the profound new visionary Dr Mike Omotosho, the role of INEC in hindering the party’s progress has come as an utter and complete shock. INEC’S ROLE IN PARTY RIFT. Like every independent electoral body whose core objective is having a free minded policy and avoiding partisan politics within its ranks, this does not seem to be the case with INEC as they have meddled in electoral processes with personified interests. This can be seen in the Kano LGA elections where under aged voters were allegedly seen casting votes with INEC turning a blind eye. Another instance will be the 2016 Rivers re-run election which was marred by massive corrupt practices amongst INEC staff stationed at the state’s various wards. Hence it did not come as a surprise when INEC refused to recognize Dr Mike Omotosho as the new Labour party chairman after 141 days in office as stipulated In the electoral acts. Despite the fact that several petitions have been written to INEC by the party informing them of their new chairman and also carried out demonstrations by the youth wing of the party at INEC secretariat, The electoral body has adamantly refused doing the right thing. When briefed by news men, the chief press secretary of INEC replied with all benevolence of unprofessionalism saying “My brother, just go to the website of the commission and you will see that there has been no affected change on the party’s chairman…” “So whoever you see his name on the INEC website is the chairman of Labor party.” In an earlier petition to the police commissioner for FCT filed by the party’s national secretary, Julius Abure, who said the October 3rd special convention was monitored by 3 INEC officials, said while they were anxiously awaiting a response from INEC, they were baffled by a letter written by INEC to the FCT commissioner of Police where the list of the Labour party NWC members that emerged at the 2014 national convention was deliberately misinterpreted as a recognition for the removed chairman. Finally it might not be far-fetched to say that INEC’s involvement in adamantly refusing to recognize Dr Mike Omotosho as the rightful chairman of LP is because they are acting as a tool for other political parties afraid of the new and true strength pulled by the Omotosho led administration or the alleged fact that Alhaji Abdulsalam’s deep pockets is keeping them from doing the right thing. At this point it might not be wrong to say that the 2019 General elections will be a sore for sorry eyes if INEC as a body is not checkmated into doing the right thing. This should sound as a wakeup call for all Nigerians especially the youths who believes in Dr Mike’s agenda of promoting the plight of the common man, maintaining an efficient relationship with the smallest unit of our economy and engaging the vibrant ideas of our youths who are meant to be the leaders of today; to come out en masse on all platforms and actively urge INEC to DO THE RIGHT THING. |
Let God be the judge between you and them.. If they be of true service to God, then may the sun never depart from your house even as the God of Israel liveth.. Amen. missyadorable: |
