People may not know this;Nigerian Drs excell in every country they find themselves.Many Nig Drs are members of hundreds of international medical bodies.So many have worn laurels in medical and non-medical competitions.Practicing medicine in a country like Nigeria can be as challenging as ever.No constant electricity (when some reagents and drugs require certain temperatures to remain patent),fake and adulterated drugs and equipments,substandard paramedical manpower,poor salaries,lack of continued proffesional development(CPD) and curruption are some millitating factors against standardised practice.A lot of family and social expectations weigh the average Dr dowm yet the Job stress is not commensurate with the pay nor status yet a Dr buys from same market with others!.Take or leave,more there are very many wonderful and excellent Nig Drs out there!

A professional like a Dr,who swore to the Hippocratic oath,who a lot of respect and dignity is attached to his title and person and who patients trust and revere should not exhibit such low moral standards as to sexually abuse not only mature females but teenagers entrusted to them for medicare.If anyone falls victim of such,the person should be bold enough litigate not only for personal psychological satisfaction but for protection of the unsuspecting future victim.Stories abound of Nig.Drs harrasing female patients as if its rife.In practice,it's rather very rare.The exaggerated statistics has made every female wary such that attitudes of kindness and acceptable patient are often misinterpreted!Drs in public service are accused of laxity.Paucity of funds,current equipment,standard drugs and poor remuneration are results of poor governance not professional inefficiency or negligence on the part of the Dr.Private practitioners are bound by rules of their clinic.Note that some ungrateful patients may have pushed the Drs to assume a seemingly difficult stance!
