aworatak:I think you need to go back and read carefully. I said the smelling criticism is gaining ground RIGOROUSLY after the OUTCOME OF 2023 ELECTION. I never said there were no criticisms in the past |
SeeWahala:When in any of all my engagements on this matter did you see me advocating for government to sit still and not do anything about it?. My motive in the write-up is simply asking those that are gloating over it to have a rethink because it will serve us no good in the end if they succeed in demarketing Lagos especially when we currently have no State yet that can handle the aftermath of demarketing Lagos. |

emmancipated:You're right, but while on the track to fix it up, some certain elements of progress who wish nothing but downfall for the city must be addressed. Surprisingly I even mentioned that if they are to DEMARKET Lagos, they should atleast provide a conducive state or states that can handle the influx from Lagos. Right now Lagos is the only city we have that is putting Nigeria in the world map even though there's still a lot to be done to put it in a better shape, but yet they still want to DEMARKET it and gloat over it. If Lagos loses it's attraction, where do we currently have to fill in the space?. This is even supposed to be a wake up call for most of these foo.lish people to stimulate the governors of their respective states to put together a city that can equal or higher the little attraction Lagos is commanding in the recent times but NO they wouldn't stimulate their Governors because ALL they care about is for Lagos to just fall. It's sickening!!! |
pneumaticos:I've spent larger part of my life outside Lagos, so you're not talking to someone confined to Lagos all his life or most part. |
SeeWahala:Frankly I don't really have any problem with the girl. Most of her points are right. I once served too and I can confidently tell you the allowance accorded to corpers cannot sufficiently cater for the needs even though the economy wasn't this bad when I served several years ago...The situation is even worst now because given by the current allowance (33,000) and situation of the economy, 33k is NOT sufficient, however, what I have problem with is how those with hatred for Lagos seized the campaign and turned it into Gloating and demarketing Party. |
Acidosis:I think at this point you need to be quiet. This is not borne out of Pride but out of the fact that you're completely oblivious of who you're talking to. |
nairalanda1:Definitely, you're right, something needs to be done. I only feel disgusted by ways most of the campaigners are going about it. |
SeeWahala:I don't have a problem, you're the one with the problem for failing to realise demarketing Lagos or speaking ill of it on Global Social Media Spaces is very dangerous to it's potentials. Most cities in the world have some part of it that smells, their citizens don't come on social media gloating and mocking it. They will rather engage the government in a civil manner calling its attention to fix it instead of turning it into Gloating Party on Global social media spaces. |
nairalanda1:You seem reasonable, particularly your last sentence. Calling out the government to fix the smelling part of Lagos is different from gloating over it. My write up is to address those with dark intention that is stimulated not by Love or Progress for Lagos but by Foolishness and hatred for Lagos. Yes some part of it does smell but the campaign is largely getting pushed by those who wants to DEMARKET it. |
SeeWahala:The criticism by "most" (Not all) of the critics is mischievous because what is supposed to be borned out of genuine concern and demand for change has been turned to a "Gloat" Party. And frankly I'm not surprised because the intention right from onset is to MOCK and DEMARKET it |
I've being following the recent attack on Lagos State ever since the 2023 concluded election. This smelling criticism started gaining ground after 2023 election. How comes the rigorous attack on Lagos smelling started after the outcome of 2023 election?. Was smelling not in existence before 2023?. Why is it suddenly gaining ground?. Surprisingly when someone whispers it, certain set of people with previous records of attacks on Lagos or Yoruba People (after 2023 election) are ALWAYS the ones blowing the Trumpet Loudly. It is not a mistake to conclude some people are yet to get over the lost of the election. The aim is to tear down the image of the State. That's not criticism coming from someone with a Genuine heart to move Lagos forward, it's simply a dark heart to break Lagos down. My question is what is their Game plan?. Demarket Lagos so people move away from it?. And when people move away from Lagos, where are they moving to?. Your States??. What have your State Governments over the years put in place to accommodate the influx from Lagos?. Is your State Safe from Kidnapping, communal clashes, Herdsmen's attack, Banditry, Terrorist Attack etc or you don't care, all you care about is Lagos should be demarket or brought down?. Between last year and this year, Lagos attracted foreign investments, the result of which boosted the State fund's contribution to the overall funds that are shared to states every month in Abuja. Now if you continue to demarket Lagos, what do you think will happen?. The foreign investment will suddenly shift to your region or State?. No it wouldn't because your Governors have not put in place what will attract such investments. Apart from Security, what infrastructural development have your State Governments put in place to accommodate such influx from Lagos or you still don't care, all you care about is Lagos should be demarket?. No foreign investment will come to your state if it's not safe or with a proper infrastructural development. From entertainment point of view, for the very first time in many years, Lagos was recognised when it had influx of celebrities around the world coming for "Detty December". Many more people wants to be identified with Lagos, all of which bring the world to Lagos and it's benefit being shared across the states. That's a sad news to y'all "Lagos must Fall" crew??. If you refuse to disembark from this habit of demarketing Lagos for your selfish reasons or as a result of an election lost, you're simply doing a disservice to your country because you don't have alternative States capable of retaining or bringing the world to Nigeria yet. If you must demarket Lagos, atleast make sure your State Governments have a workable atmosphere economically, Infrastructurally, Safety / Security etc instead of just demarketing Lagos and subsequently impoverish the Country as a whole. The criticism by "most" (Not all) of the critics is mischievous because what is supposed to be borne out of genuine concern and demand for change has been turned to a "Gloat" Party. And frankly I'm not surprised because the intention right from onset is to MOCK and DEMARKET it

What of Oyo--Ogbomosho Express??. The terrible state of the road has been a major headline recently. An important road connecting West to North. |

This man have never being reasonable before. I don't even know him by his name but through his picture. Seeing his picture even before hearing or reading whatever he has to say "always" have me saying "this old idiiot again" |
Please how do other hausas or northerners of other arewa States feel about this katsina employment, not to talk of other Nigerian states. This isn't the first, 2nd, 3rd or 4th this is happening. |
NewDelhi:I've seen many manner of hypocrisy but this one right here literally takes the cake. You wrote about how he talked about yansh and how wonderful it is but in your abundance hypocrisy forgot to mention his numerous song that spoke against injustice and ills in the society??. See, one of the things I've realized about human being is if they want to rubbish you regardless of most of your good deeds or intentions, they do it with their stupidity well intact. |
helinues:The later really suits you considering your bounce from one post to the other justifying senseless killing. |
helinues:Which enemy of SW ni afofungbemu yi n pariwo gan?. I've not made a comment here on nairaland for years but found your constant display of outright stupidity to be quite disturbing lately. I'm a full blooded Yoruba man. If your perceived enemy of SW want chaos and confusion then the govt shouldn't have being pathetically senseless to cause their desire to be fulfilled. If any tribe is jubilating it's because the govt gave them reason to do so the moment they ordered their own citizens (including us i.e the yorubas) to be gun down like pack of dogs. Even if you draw your salary from this goverment that is not enough reason to ceaselessly turn your brain to a donkey. |
Bought Redmi note 7 6gb/64gb from samtob4life yesterday and was delivered successfully to me here in Abuja, he's legit and straight forward...highly recommended.

Describing corruption as a national tragedy, Sagay *wondered why a person will loot what he cannot spend in 10 lifetimes* and expose others to poverty. Honestly this part baffles me most times. 10lifetimes is even small. When you read the amount a single person at his later age (65 to 75years) embezzled, you will almost be persuaded to belief there are transactions going on even in the spirit world. |
