The origin of the dismissal was joining PENGASSAN. If those staff didn't join the union, they would not be added to the WhatsApp group. However, the union is not talking about the alleged WhatsApp group or the information shared therein... handsomebolanle: Let’s get it straight sir., From Dangote and what we know now… They weren’t sacked because they joined union… infact, Dangote ascended to a freewill MOU to join union.
What we should be talking about now is the content of the whatsapp. Maybe not necessary anymore, but time will tell. |

You expect them to keep quiet while some people privatize the National Cake? emmanuelewumi: Actually planning to buy filling stations in West African countries.
With the coming of BUA refinery, Nigeria will become a net exporter of refined petroleum products thereby earning forex for the country.
This is what government owned NNPC could not due, yet PENGASSAN does not want privatization of NNPC. |

The bolded is hilarious 😂 Do you really think those set of people he mentioned are not members of a church? (Note that a church is NOT the building but the people). Are you saying it is wrong to organize seminars on s**x education, r@pe and the likes inside the church building OR doing so will make the 'faithfuls' meditate on it? Like I said earlier [paraphrased], the church is a holy place where unholy people congregate... zendi: Ther'er appropriate and inappropriate topics, times and places, in human conversations. Sensibilities and sensitivities need to be respected. Going into the Church to legitimize sin and provoke the faithfuls to meditate on it is plain satanic.
I am not preaching but sharing my thoughts and free speech. There is a thousand decent analogies the tax man could have used to explain his mission inside the Church. |

Actually I believe that the Tax man and the law are two parallel lines. The taxman has a duty to collect tax. The law has a duty to ensure that income is generated within the confines of the law. PS: the church is not exclusively for holy people just like the hospital is not exclusively for healthy people... zendi: That man should have taken his sex tax messaging to those places you mentioned. Instead, he carried his evangelism of vulgarity into the church to offend the sensibilities of innocent people of faith.
Which is not even doable.
How do you begin to follow men and women about to know when sex for money occurs?
Satanic, kpakus flippancy, inside the Church of all places.

QED SonofElElyonRet: My final take. I just watched the tax man speaking on that occasion. He said I don't know if I should give this example in "Church" and then went on to say that the law doesn't ask you the source of your income. The impression created is the law doesn't care about the source of your income, not that the law can not tell. The law and those who drafted it, don't give a rat's a*se where the money came from.. just pay your tax. Y'all watch again. Peace! |

Dear Sir, if I may For context, in all the cities I have lived in, there are well known brothe!s and s**x alleys YET the government has not shut them down/sealed those places. I fully understand your perspective of the morality/legality of such services but is lady Justice [or/and the law] not turning a blind eye to the continued existence of such brothels? In the context of tax, I believe Mr Taiwo was simply passing a message that IF you offer any service, your 'fees' will be taxed accordingly. I agree that the example he used might not be legally acceptable but... SonofElElyonRet: Moral and reason are the soul(s) of the law. Society isn't just about tax collection. Can not be isolated. Lady justice is blind in order not to be bias or show favour or mind whose ox is gored. The purpose of her blindness is not to jettison morals and reason. According to you, tax officials may look the other way (just in case you prefer that to "turn a blind eye" )🤷 once a dr*g baron pays his tax, even though they know that's his trade.. dangerous for society |

You're spot on. That's the exact quantity held by NCR Corporation (according to AFS '24). We expect a corporate disclosure in the coming days... I won't be shocked to know they left already. The company is doing very poorly... ositadima1: Did anybody notice that NCR traded more than 60% of its outstanding shares yesterday alone? It looks like their foreign majority holder exited.

You said, and I quote, "Dangote is NOT winning this". Now " it doesn't matter" ... handsomebolanle: Lols… Dangote's got a tough road ahead of him if he keeps going down this path. Let's see how this plays out and how long he can keep fighting. If this truce is true, let’s give it sometime and I will quote myself when the new replacement working in DIL decides to join Union and the matter resurfaces again.
Honestly, making peace with PENGASSAN would be way cheaper than all this drama. PENGASSAN is not like many unions you all know.
I wouldn’t argue on this matter. Win/Draw/Loss…. It wouldn’t matter - if one person is badly treated then everyone is. |

IMO Aliko wins here: Union has been subdued in the refinery. The 'reinstated' staff will miss out on the juicy allowances in the O&G. I can bet, not all of them will stay long in DIL... awesomeJ: @handsomebolanle The resolution is that Dangote should reinstate the workers to other companies within his group, but they're not going back to the refinery.
I see that as a win or a draw at worst.
