What exactly do you mean by politician of their caliber ? Do you think they have done so much in 4/8years to warrant such humongous 'pension' ? ₦50m is about ₦4m/month. When we are ready, we will all know ✌🏽 Tareq1105: And how much is #50m per year to a politician of their caliber? |

There's no rule tying them. Companies can pick any par value not less than 50k. The existing rule (about par value) says that if the par value is 50k, the SP can fall [and trade] below 50k. However, If the par value is above 50k, the SP cannot be traded below the par value. e.g. Mansard and NEM are currently ₦2 and ₦1 resp. ARADEL was ₦10 before they listed on the NGX... Care4: Is there any rule tying publicly listed companies to the 50 kobo nominal value? When will the NGX moved to ₦1 or so considering the economy? |

MPeace made very valid points but I also think PZ is lagging behind because of the huge debt. CADBURY cleared their debt and returned to profitability. UNILEVER didn't incur debts like others. PZ is still trying to clear theirs (reason I said they are fairly priced considering debt and other liabilities) At the bolded, it's highly debatable... yMcy56: Let's wait till the debt payment/debt recovery plan comes out, then you'll know it's way undervalued.
Was rejected initially and another plan is in the pipeline.
Mpeace talking about OS, how much difference does the OS of Cadbury and UNILEVER makes? Why is Unilever with higher OS trading above Cadbury price?
CADBURY: 2.3bn OS..... Currently @N58 PZ: 3.97bn OS......... currently @31/32 UNILEVER: 5.75bn OS ........ @N70
Moreover, Cadbury also had serious debt issue before it was later sorted out.
PZ will also trade around those two's price.... When? I don't know. If they go down, they all go down together, if they go up, they all do same. |

Madam and your son, indeed the whole family must be highly favoured, blessed and anointed for greatness, riches. They don't have to stress themselves and are probably less aggressive in monitoring and tackling all the stocks on NGX. That statement is about the nominal (par) value of a share versus its market/issue price. Let me try and explain: 50 kobo each is the nominal (or par) value of the share i.e. the minimum face value assigned when the company created the shares via IPO ₦50 per share is the actual price at which the share is being sold (in the stock market or through a new issue). The difference between these two values is called Share Premium MrSamsung: Please from your email, the ambiguous or non-straightforward "50 kobo each at N50 per share" statement means what in actual cost of the rights issue |

Just read an article on Reuters that Indonesia, the world's largest producer and exporter of Palm oil, has deployed a biofuel (called B40) that uses 40% Palm oil content.
In 2024, 13.2million kilolitres was consumed with 15.6million kilolitres allocated for 2025. They're already working on B50 (60% palm oil content) which may require up to 19 million kilolitres of palm oil a year with likely deployment in 2026.
Likewise, there's an outbreak of Ganoderma (a parasitic fungus that causes palm trees to rot).
Palm Oil price might move ⬆

I think we need to step down our campaign for ELLAH. When it was nose diving, the group was suddenly silent. Now that it is ascending, we are trying to blow our trumpets. Whereas, deep down, we all cannot boldly say that we know the direction ELLAH is facing. Can 'both sides' just give it a breather for once... |

The PZ offer was not a buyout of minority holders but an offer by PZCH to 'convert' the debt of PZ to equity.
It fell through because they did not get the required 75% of the minority holdings even though most of the minority holders voted to accept the offer.
That shows that the more the units held, the more your voting power...
