lookingforjob:
It is sad to see many anti-progressives call Buhari names because of his tribal accent. Igbo's , Yoruba and Hausa's all have various ways of speaking and pronunciation due to our mother tongue. When i watched father Mbaka's video, his accent was obvious when he pronounced OIL as OYEL but does that makes him an illiterate? General Buhari reads, writes and gives speeches in English, He had a lauded and excellent interview on Aljazeera, Channels, eta'l but the hatred by some Nigerians will never let them see the fact that this is the only man who can deliver the change the common man crave for.

The most supporters of this present administration are the Igbo's. They see this as an opportunity for them to avenge what was done to them during the civil war. They never blamed Ojukwu who started a suicide mission and ran to ivory coast leaving them to their fate. This is why they will never see anything good in Buhari even if GEJ does nothing, they are contented.

THEY ARE HAPPY THE ELECTION WAS POSTPONED. THEY ARE SO EASY TO DECEIVE. GEJ fooled the igbos with Azikwe and promise of a bridge that's still on paper. They see GEJ as the closest they can get to aso rock. voting him is their way of flexing their political muscle but we shall put them to shame.

Had APC presented Fashola, Atiku or Kwankwaso , they will still find reasons to vote for GEJ and label Apc candidates bad. This hate is not about buhari, it's the way they feel they can get revenge for refusing to allow them form their Biafran territory. The Igbos believe another 4 years of GEJ presidency might bring about the end of Nigeria. Their selfish motive is to establish Biafra. They call Yoruba's slave to the North and all sort of names. They are a petty tribe. Its unfortunate the disunity of this country originates from their region.
They call for disintegration of the country but you will find them in every parts of the country selling fake drugs and fake goods produced in aba. They can't stay in their eastern region yet they want biafra. they even claim to own Lagos and its no mans land. Let's assume the country was divided today, will lagos be in the biafran maphuh empty chest beaters. no wonder you find their people on death row all over Asia due to drug trafficking. instead of voting for a competent government, they prefer to suffer and resort to crimes for living. they are sadists, they travel home on 31/12 and return back on 02/01 and still hate such land that host their businesses.

In 2011, we all saw GEJ as a messiah and we voted him en-masse irrespective of his tribe and religion. We thought he would deliver us from years of misrule due to his humble look and name GOODLUCK. Nigerians did not vote PDP but GEJ. Then Yoruba's were not tagged slaves for trooping out to vote for him en-masse.

They said APC and Buhari promised to make Nigeria ungovernable. My question is why can't these people be arrested if the statements tagged to them were truehuh GEJ is the commander in chief of all forces in Nigeria and it baffles me how a civilian in Buhari can make his government ungovernable while he sits and watch without taking actions. Isn't that a high level of incompetence?

Good luck Jonathan is the worst president we ever had in this country. The misfortunes of his administrations exceeds the so called transformations. I urge everyone to vote wisely

##March4Buhari cool cool cool
I rather burn my PVC than to reward a dictator that staged coup against a democratic government. He should be in jail if we are in a decent country. I don't even want to mention his forged certificates. That's an issue for another day.
PoliticsRe: Postponed Elections: Chimamanda Adichie Is Angry! by karpentar: 5:10pm On Feb 11, 2015
Election was postponed to allow over 20 million voters get their PVCs within the 6 weeks period. The core of these 20 million is from areas likely to vote for GEJ. JEGA withheld PVCs from these folks to favour his party - APC. Government is smarter and more powerful and had to intervene. Now APC is restless and shouting; "postponement is provocative and threat to democracy”. I wonder how an act legally carried out by INEC has become a threat to democracy. Did INEC break any law? APC won’t tell you the real reason why they are crying wolf, but PDP/GEJ knows.
Insecurity is never the reason for the postponement. JEGA lied!!!
PoliticsRe: Muhammadu Buhari Live – How Impressed Was I ? by karpentar: 9:14am On Feb 03, 2015
Revolution:
GMB MEANS BUSINESS.

I was opportune to listen to Gen. Muhammadu Buhari this morning at State House, Marina, Lagos state. It was a business section tagged ‘GMB MEANS BUSINESS.’

Apologies. I didn’t attend as a paparazzi, hence the lack of photographs and a selfie with the man himself. Also, this is not the place to drop names.

The small venue was filled to capacity as expected, and I was certain the audience was expectant.

Posted below are my personal views of General Muhammadu Buhari, the man whom I heard, for the very first time at close quarters.

The man Buhari whom I heard spoke today is a man that has a mission.

I could almost feel a pain in his voice when he spoke of the issues that have plighted the talented country, Nigeria for decades. You could almost say, he felt sorry for the country.

There was a conviction in his voice and demeanour. His body language was expressive of a man focused on one thing, to put Nigeria on the global ladder of respect. You could feel it.

When he read out the prepared speech, which was monotone a-times, he informed his audience when he had completed the speech. He gently went into the pocket of his flowing ‘babariga’ to produce his prepared hand written note and went on to give a scintillating delivery of his plans for the country – which I would’t bother you with.

At that point, he was better poised and at his best.

He was natural, at ease. No airs about him. I didn’t know he was also rich in humour. He is a very witty man. I see him represent Nigeria internationally with pride.

You know what, he commanded the audience. He had us all engaged.

He gave briefs on how Nigeria fought the civil war and didn’t have to borrow a kobo.

He mentioned how, when he was in charge, refineries were built.

He gave a veiled warning to ‘briefcase contractors’ who mill around Abuja. ” If you know your capacity is N100m, don’t go bidding for a N1 billion contract” he jokingly announced. Joke, I think not.

He also had a warning for civil servants. ‘Anyone engaged in corruption is on his own and will only have himself to blame’ he said, without joking this time.

If truth be written, I was extremely impressed listening to him live.

He engaged an audience of business men and women, and that alone speaks volume.

About seven questions were asked (limited due to lack of time as he was expected today in Adamawa for a campaign rally), and he confidently stood to answer all to the best of his abilities.

He charmed us with his humble charisma.

He got an ovation at the end of his speech.

Finally, in answering a question on continuity of governance, should he become the next elected President, he went on to give an analogy of someone standing on cliff edge. He pointed out that, if the man on the cliff edge chose to continue, what awaits him would be a long painful fall. Hence, he would not continue on that path. He however pointed out that continuity on good projects is good, while he would not be a part of a continuation of bad projects.

You actually seem uneducated to me. If a man is confirmed to have attended a school by his principal in 1961, his school's principal in 2015 knows his exam number, presented a statement of results, attended several military schools with higher learning, became a general, Head of State and you are still arguing the point.

Where is your education I wonder?
I work in a company that sends me on courses. I am able to enjoy such privelages because I met minimal requirements for my employment. Buhari didn't and any additional certifications are built on fraud. He is not qualified to attend the war college in the first place. He deceived his employer and should be stripped of all army ranks he fraudulently obtained. You can insult and call me names but that just exposes your logical deficiencies.

This WASC issue is not a 'pressing issue'. It is a silly distraction.

The School statement suffices...besides WASC is just a minimum requirement

It is easily verifiable that he went to the US war college and obtained a diploma... That is above a WASC certificate.
Two weeks course in war college is what you think should substitute WAEC certification? What a joke. Buhari is an illiterate and doesn't meet minimal requirements for crucial job as Nigerian presidency. Combining illiteracy with religious fanatism is a recipe for chaos, disaster and baboon and monkey blood spilling.

Dude, use your brain for once in your life. 2,000 yrs is an approximation. We know it got here around the 19th century, meaning something like 1,867 years or something. And of course there was no 'Nigeria' 2000 years ago, but the territory now known as Nigeria existed, with people living in it, did it not? I mean, maybe it's an IQ problem with you, I don't know...More likely you're seeking to dodge the main question by raising irrelevant strawman arguments. That won't work.

PoliticsRe: Buhari: I May Pick Muslim Running Mate If... by karpentar: 8:47pm On Dec 08, 2014
Nobody is afraid of Muhammadu Buhari, except some compromised people who read Nigerian newspapers and believe the nonsense about his record on corruption. Buhari is a beneficiary of the hypocrisy and sophistry that is spewed by the compromised Nigerian media. Let me attempt to take him to pieces on the issue of corruption. Buhari was Head of State in 1984 when a Northern traditional ruler imported 53 suitcases of undeclared materials, rumored to be Nigerian currency which had just been changed and whose import from abroad was banned. Nothing happened to the importer, because his son, a Major Jokolo , was Buhari's ADC at the time. The Major ended up as an Emir after his father's demise.

At the PTF, the "incorruptible" Buhari appointed his brother in law, a certain Salihijo Ahmed, the sole consultant for PTF projects , through his Afriprojects Consortium. The result was that the only way to get a PTF contract was to know Salihijo Ahmed. It was therefore not a surprise that about 80% of PTF contracts went to Northerners and to Northern projects. The rest of the projects was shared between the South West and the South South. The South East got virtually nothing. Northern Presidents tend to surround themselves with fellow Northerners, with the examples of Shehu Shagari and Yardua in the democratic dispensations. Nothing will change with Buhari, and it will surely get worse as he is an unrepentant Northern and Islamic irredentist. Some reason to be afraid of a Muhammadu Buhari Presidency!! As an aside, Salihijo Ahmed died of a massive coronary, after Obasanjo started to investigate the PTF and Afriprojects Consortium.

We need a Nigerian President, not a Northern Nigerian President in 2015. Buhari may be popular in the North, among the talakawa and the Moslems, but that does not translate to national appeal. He is also not the "incorruptible" politician that the massively compromised Nigerian media make him out to be. In any case, the opportunism inherent in the South West's desire to get into power "through the back door" and "before their time" is alienating other groups. Bottom line, is that the APC's bid for power under a Buhari Presidency is dead in arrival.

lasher1:
Am just seeing these facts for the first time are they really true about GMB or cooked up by apc followers? Pls can a pdp loyalist throw in any counter facts on these as per GMB's economic manouver
The Shehu Shagari and Alex Ekwueme regime introduced austerity measures in 1983, this was a result of a short fall in oil revenue. Nigerians were feeling the heat.
When Buhari took over, he announced that the austerity measure was cancelled. People jubilated in the streets. He promulgated a policy of price fixing. Soldiers broke into people's shops and forced them to sell their goods at government controlled prices. The economic laws of demand and supply in a free market enterprise were suspended.
Then the goods in the shops became exhausted. Scarcity of food set in. Nigerians began to queue up for essential commodities as each product was now rationed. The hard time became ten times worse off than it was during the Shagari period. People had money but can't find food to buy. Poverty level tripled. Massive hunger swept through the land as he lived in luxury at Dordan Barracks until his colleagues decided that this was the wrongest man to rule a country. He was the first Nigerian leader whose closest associates removed from office due to high handedness and gross incompetence.
What kind of economic policy will this man promulgate?

General Buhari forced his military tribunal to jail Ambrose Ali, the then governor of old Bendel State. Ambrose Ali was tutored to blindness inside kirikiri just to make him confess that he was a thief.
Ambrose Ali died due to massive torture and blindness.
Upon his death it was discovered that he had just one piece of undeveloped land in Benin....
What kind leader is this?
In trying to immediately garner a Marxist posture like most African coupists, General Buhari banned importation of major essential commodities. He never took his time to plan for alternatives to these items. As a result, it was catastrophic. According to the BBC ", "Buhari's attempt to re-balance public finances by curbing imports led to many job losses and the closure of businesses. These losses were accompanied by a rise in prices and a decline in living standards".
What economic policy will this man pursue. ?
He back dated the crime of three young men so that they can be killed by his famous decree 20. The whole word begged, civil society, religious leaders , traditional rulers, everyone begged. He refused and the kids were executed. The names of these young Nigerians are :
Lawal Ojuolape 30 years
Bernard Ogedengbe 29 years...
Bartholomew Owoh (26) .
