PoliticsRe: APC Will Not Participate In Idemili Election Rerun In by karpentar: 7:32am On Nov 18, 2013
Timehin: Ngige just said APC will not participate in todays election cos as a catholic he's against elections on sunday, he accused INEC of hidden agenda and questions Jegas rationale for holding the election.

Jega is presently on AIT live program to clear the air on what transpired at Idemnili LG.

He said one of their electoral officers who attempted to compromise the process has been handed to the police for prosecution and that INEC tried to conduct the election yesterday inspite of the challenges but had to stop cos it was late before they could sort out the discrepancies and that the community agreed election should continue today.

The live program is still on...
Ngige is a Catholic indeed but he can visit Okija Shrine to strike a deal. Yeye christain.

gregg2: Hypocrite!
Is it not what your criminals and terrorist in APC do?

1) Ever wondered why the APC states of Borno and Yobe remain two hotspots of Boko Haram killings

2) We were crying everyday about corruption in the Oil Subsidy regime, but when govt opted for an end to the subsidy regime, your thieving masters brainwashed you guys to go on a jamboree at Ojota in the name of protest

3) people of the SouthWest complained of marginalization and the govt favored a South Westerner Mulikat for Speaker House of Reps, your Asiwaju progretheives Congress betrayed their own blood and opted for a northerner

4) Lots of imperfections were noticed in the Oil & gas industry, a Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) was forwarded to the Assembly which your men are sitting on till date

5) For nearly two decades, the entire country has been calling for a National Conference, the govt backtracked and offered you one, your hypocrites criminals then turned round shouting "no no no no it is not National Dialogue we need but Free and Fair 2015 elections"

6) Boko Haram were killing and maiming innocent citizens. Govt extended invitation to them for dialogue for a long time and they refused. During that time, your criminals masters were sponsoring propaganda of how govt is weak. The grace period for dialogue expired and govt decided to wield the big stick by declaring a state of emergency. Your Buhari and Tinubu became so pained, making it obvious to Nigerians that APC was behind Boko Haram activities.

I can go on and on . . . . . . .
I couldn't say it better. Perfect submission. 100%. If I see you, I will you a beer!

PoliticsRe: An Open Letter To Anambra Voters. by karpentar: 7:58pm On Nov 03, 2013
davidugotex: FELLOW ANAMBRARIANS
For how long should we continue to allow Mr Peter Obi put enmity between us in a bid to achieve his Selfish desires? In the last guber election, he employed religious politics- Catholics against Protestant. Now that it is obvious that that approach is becoming unpopular, he has introduced the bigotry of zoning. Must he always instigate Anambra people against one another in a bid to have his selfish way?

Is it not on record that Anambra North whom Peter Obi claims to be politically marginalized has produced the First and only President of Nigeria from the South-East zone in the person of Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe? Is it not also on record that since the return of democracy in 1999, the only Senate President Anambra State has produced is from the zone in the person of Rt Hon. Chuba Okadigbo? Have we also forgotten that the late Ukpabi Asika who was the governor of the whole Eastern States was also from Anambra North? My people I ask, how is a zone that has produced these notable leaders marginalized?

In terms of infrastructure, the biggest market in West Africa- Main Market Onitsha, is it not cited in Anambra North?
The Refinery that is being built in Anambra State by Orient Petroleum Ltd, please is it not cited in Anambra North? I ask again, how is Anambra North marginalized?
Anambra State airport which was previously proposed to be built in Oba was later zoned to Anambra North by the government of Peter Obi; how are they marginalized? Let somebody explain to me how a zone that has the largest market in West Africa, the only refinery in the State, and the proposed cargo airport marginalizedhuh

Many of us followed the just concluded debates organized for all the governorship aspirants in the State, both the one organized by Silverbird Television and the one by AIT. We saw how Peter Obi's stooge- Willie Obiano was clueless as to how he plans to govern Anambra State; we also saw how he was reading out everything from a note handed over to him by Peter Obi even when the moderator of the debate made it clear at the beginning that no candidate should speak from a prepared note. We have also heard Obiano dwell so much on enlisting the support of Donor Agencies, in fact, there is never a project he planned to embark on without the mention of Donor Agencies, again I ask, When has Anambra State become beggars that we can no longer generate resources to tackle our own problems? What if those "Father Christmas" agencies disappoint him, so his government will achieve nothing?

My people, let us together sweep away those who want to enthrone mediocrity and bigotry in our State, and vote for those who have the vision, the road map, the courage, and the charisma to give us good governance that we desire.
-David Onyebuchi

Christianity EtcRe: Why Are People Dancing Azonto And Makossa In Church? by karpentar: 7:33pm On Nov 03, 2013
Ukuts gp: Is like some people definitely does not know the difference between church and disco hall.

On sunday when you go to church, during the praises you will see people dancing Azonto and Makossa.
You will see young boys and girls rocking, dancing Azonto and makossa style.

I dont know why people who say they christians are dancing such worldly dance which are invented from the kingdom of darkness.
I cant even imagine myself dancing in such a manner. Cant a christian dance in a simple and godly way? Must it be Azonto and makossa which are satanic in origin?

Even those playing the musical instrument are not even helping matters, as they play all these worldly and ungodly makossa beats and sounds.

I almost want to tell one lady dancing that way close to me to stop dancing that way but i just control myself. I dont just like such dance, it is worldly. Or what do you think. Is dancing Azonto and makossa style proper in church? To me i dont like it. I dont know if i am the only one thinking that way. Thanks.
The other thread was about women not covering hair in churches...now it's about dancing azonto and makossa in the church....with all these anomalies, must you go to church? God is everywhere and will accept praises from anywhere outside churches.

CrimeRe: Enugu, Crime Capital Of Nigeria – Survey by karpentar: 1:05pm On Oct 22, 2013
passion007: This is quite an 'interesting' study.
I encourage everyone to take a look at the original results of the report, not the summary given by Premium Times (You'll find the PDF at the Source link), if for nothing else, to disprove the notion that if you wanna hide something from a black man, put it in a book.
The original, unadulterated results are revealing, and I must say kudos to the researchers.
Let me post the findings here:

To begin with, Crime is a spectrum, from phone theft, to physical assault, to kidnapping, to murder.

Fear of Crime(National Average: 72%, ENUGU: 83%)
OGUN (94%) ONDO (94%) GOMBE (93%) YOBE (91%) ANAMBRA (90%)

Actual Experience of Crime:
Robbery (National Average:18%, ENUGU: 19%)
Kaduna: 43%, Akwa Ibom 42%, Cross River 39%, Anambra 32%, Niger 31%

R.ape/Attempted R.ape ( National:5%, SE:1%)
SS-10%, NE-6%, SW 4%, NW-4%, Lagos-3%, NC-3%

Kidnapping/Attempted Kidnapping (National:3%, SE:4%)
SW-5%, Lagos-4%, SE-4%, SS-4%, NW-3%, NE-3%, NC-2%

Physical Assault (National: 33%)
Enugu (84%), Ebonyi (77%), Rivers (58%), Anambra (50%), Ogun (38%)

SE:43%, SW:35%, NE:35%, SS:26%, NC:19%, NW: 19%

Attempted Murder (National:5%, SE:2%)
NE:8%, SS:7%, NW:7%, SW:6%, NC:3%, SE:2%

Theft of Mobile Phone (|National Average: 45%, ENUGU: 45%)
Taraba-64%, Kwara _59%, Abia-57%, Lagos-55%, Kaduna-54%

Car Theft (National: 4%, SE:2%)
NW-6%, SS-5%, Lagos_5%, NE-4%, SW-3%, SE-2%, NC-1%

Armed Violence other than Robbery (National: 4%, SE:1%)
NE:11%, SS-9%, NC-3%, NW-3%, Lagos-2%, SW-1%, SE-1%

My Conclusion:
I have taken the stress of posting these findings as they appear in the original study.
If I have learnt anything from this thread, it's that the campaign of calumny against SouthEasterners is far from imagined. I dont know the guys at Premium Times, and don"t want to speculate what their intents are, but they should certainly be taken seriously.
Igbos need to find out the guys at Premium Times ASAP, those guys are out to destroy you by peddling lies, and distorting research findings to align with their lies .
After all, based on the research findings:

SW is the Kidnap Capital of Nigeria

Besides, a few months ago, we had this report:

http://dailypost.com.ng/2013/05/22/ig-of-police-declares-enugu-safest-state-in-nigeria/
Thank you very much for this revelation. Problem is that people will still stick to their biased views despite this clear report that shows that SW is very unsafe.
SportsRe: We Can Make Things Difficult For Nigeria - Ethiopian Coach Warns by karpentar: 3:15pm On Oct 21, 2013
modextus: Ethiopia coach Sewenet Bishaw warns the Super Eagles that their qualification for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil is by no means guaranteed despite their first-leg Play-off win.

Bishaw told the Ethiopian Herald that he would ensure that his side would make life difficult for the Super Eagles.

"I am a sad man because we lost despite playing so well in the first hour. We were on top of the Eagles but suddenly lost our focus and got beaten. We did not deserve to lose the match but it is not the end of the road for us," Bishaw told the Ethiopian Herald.

"We have to pick ourselves up from this defeat and look to the positives, which were there. We can certainly make things difficult for the Eagles in the return leg.

“I believe that the tie is not yet over. We still have 90 minutes to play in Nigeria and if we take our chances, then we can qualify. It is definitely not over for us," he added.

Amefrica: Hahahahaha! Only me huh I don die.. U wan use grammar throw me off balance grin grin

But on a seriouse note. Tho' i'm too young 'to advice' and have no experience abt marriage ..
Firstly, you have to know marriage is not a thing to rush into, take ur time well well.

I also wish to let you know that marriage comes with challenges. You need word of God and allotta patience..

I want you to write off that u people wouldn't argue.. Argument(s) would surely come up maybe once in a while. When ur hubby talks (normally in a high pitch) what you needa do is keep calm, don't talk, don't look him in the face and when he finishes *para'ing*, sit him down and talk to him. #i swear he would feel guilty#. Don't report him to his parent(s) and never compare him to ur friends' hubbies like 'can't u see, iya bola's hubby' blah blah. We guys hate that

Let him know he's the best and you wouldnt trade him.. Kiss him, hug him and rest on his 'broad' shoulder.

No marriage is perfect but if u can do all these, you sure gonna have peace of mind and lastly DO NOT ARGUE IN THE PRENSENCE OF UR KID(S)

Wishing you all the best in ur future and marriage.
Cheers!
I love you

This bloke is shockingly displaying ignorance despite quality education he received in England. "Act of God" is a contractual term also termed "force majeure" ascribed to events beyond the control of parties to an agreement. It could be earthquake, terrorism, plane crash, landslide volcanoes, e.t.c . In such cases, no liability is applicable. Fani should know such little things. I'm surprised he doesn't.

Obasanjo was the Project Manager for the slaughter of innocent Odi citizens - GEJ wasn't.
Obasanjo was the Project Manager for the invasion and massacre of innocent Zaki Biam Citizens - GEJ wasn't.
Obasanjo plotted with EFFC and illegally impeached serving Governors - GEJ hasn't yet succeeded with Amaechi.
Obasanjo induced senators with stolen money to impeach unfavourable senate presidents and house speakers - The assembly has been stable under GEJ.
Obasanjo spearheaded the removal of several PDP chairmen - GEJ opposite.
Obasanjo wasted billions of Nigerian money pursuing illegal third term - GEJ hasn’t.
Under Obasanjo, there were many political killings such as Bola Ige, Marshal Harry, Dikibo - None under GEJ
Obasanjo is not a university graduate - GEJ is.
Obasanjo sleeps with his daughter-in-law - GEJ doesn't.....
Obasanjo irritatingly coughs after every second of speech - GEJ doesn't.

The only common thing is that both defeated Buhari.

zenopee: I wonder whether I share similar ideas with other people, but I believe that the presidential media chat was a complete sham, and a complete waste of time. I expected more, but Jonathan dissapointed me. If I would rate it, I would rate it poor.
All along, it seems the president doesn't have a clear grasp of happenings, developments and events within the country. And regarding the few issues raised during the chat, he sounded like the issues were quite trivial, and this are burning national issues that expedite actions.
To me overall, the media chat was a complete waste of time and resources, it shouldn't have held. And from all indications it wouldn't change anything.
Your biased mind is glaring. This is the best presidential chart from any Nigerian president ever. There was no single question that GEJ didn't address completely. My support for GEJ has gone up.
