Hi, it's better you tread with caution. I tried checking the address on Google map. It looks like the structure on that particular plot is a club house. And the surrounding area looks residential to me. Secondly, I found this job ad with the same address used by another company.

As Odianose13 said your husband funds matters most. According to cic, the table shows how much he should have. If he is working, include his employment letter, notice of assessment for each tax years he filed and bank statement that should suffice.

After doing medical for EE application, my spouse was also asked to do medical for SOWP. We eventually decided to do another medical instead of emailing/informing them to use the EE medical. This is probably a similar case with yours.

If you want to help future applicants in similar case/situation, you may decide to request for GCMS note to know exactly why she was denied after your response/email to the medical request and post.

Hi all, my wife's SOWP application has been refused due to medicals.
So, Accra office and Lagos didn't bother to read their emails. Only email through CSE was read and replied.

My wife got an email on the 27th from an agent that she received the email and the attached document as requested for medical and that she will send it to the apprioprate department to work on it.
Then, yesterday she got a message on her cic profile that she has been refused. Based on the reason that she didnt comply with their medical request.

It's not necessary your spouse gets a bachelor's apartment. Including a lease agreement document in your application could help. Also, your wife don't have to change her name before you apply. Your marriage certificate and pictures will proof your union. The document contains both spouse name and other info. However if she decides to change before you apply, then include document to support that. My wife used her maiden name for her application.
She should send cic an email and CRA too

And kindly assist me on this, my spouse has not done her change of name before filing in her application in January as all her credentials carry her maiden name. Is it okay she does the change of name thing and I add it to my application? If yes, how does she update cic and her school?

The same way you have linked the good and bad news is the way CIC have linked your applications. Don't always think the western world are like most African countries; they have and keep records.... That's their strength!!

Well, I don't know of any one that got PPR within one month. Medicals takes atleast 1month, background could be about a month or more afterwards and finally passport request.
But I think there is more emphasis in landing more immigrants this year and years to come. Thus, the rapid rate of application processing.

I have bad and good news.
The Bad- No response
It seems these officers are concentrating on something else. I sent them an email referencing another medical my wife did in January for express entry. I sent Ghana cic an email says it was full and can't accept any more messages . Sent emails to cic lagos & by specific case but still no response .

The Good - Another door opens
Fortunately for my wife and I, we were approved PR visa last Friday - I couldn't be any happier. She wouldn't be needing SOWP anymore and they can reply whenever they want .

I just hope they process WP applications faster in weeks to come, life is hard already for young couples.

No ma'am, you can include in your application recommendation letter from your previous work with job letter and payslips from your present work. employment will count as ties to Nigeria.

Option 2. Take your time and apply for express entry. Try to score clb 10 in your English test or min 9 in your IELTS test to boost your point and if your have min 3years work experience in Nigeria the better. Having your PR will mean you pay about half the tuition fees. So it's good to wait except you want to take the other route which will cost you more

So I checked my wife's email this morning and I received message from cic after 6months 4 days since biometrics. I checked her profile and she's asked to provide medicals again. And a medical report form which shows her bio info. is included in their message

Processing time is currently 26 weeks, so you are almost there. Hopefully, you get a response in February.

Please I am still preparing to send in my SOWP application by God's grace month end. My husband is in canada on study permit. So I was at Vfs today I got the following information:

1. That our 5 year old daughter should apply using an "open study permit form". I was asked to look for it on the website. I have searched and searched. I dont know if I am searching wrongly, anyone knows where I can get it?

2. I also hear I must submit original copies of any letter addressed to the embassy. Please the invitation letter from my husband and the letter his supervisor will write in support of our application can he scan it to us or he must post it to make sure its the original he is sending?

I just stumbled on this tread after looking for information on what to do after being admitted to study in canada.
I've learnt a few but would need certain clarifications on some certain issues. First of all I graduated in 2009 with a degree in physiology (2.2). We all know how it is in Nigeria my work experience has spanned mostly working in a bank and some area of logistics basically. I applied for a PGC in an area somehow related to my course of study. My question is will my Visa application not be affected by my work experience and all. Please someone should please clarify this for me thanks

Hi babyfaze514, I don't think your work experience in a different field from what you studied will be a problem. During my time as a student I had met fellow students doing programs their background were not related to and even now in the work force, I still meet people doing stuffs unrelated to their background. Work experience is work experience at the end of the day since there are some transferable skills you would have develop with time on the job. I believe most programs will indicate what degree is required to meet their admission requirement and you could also submit a statement for your visa application stating why you want to study the program and how your work experience and degree would help you fit in.

I was confused and scared and started checking online to see if that was normal. Thank God today I collected and my sowp was approved.

haha, I have found others o... my wife's application is also on the waiting list, she applied online in August with upfront medicals. From other people's post on this forum, I have hope and would stop checking her profile everyday.

Login into your account you created on cic website. then you should see a button "visit, work, study.." click on that. thereafter you will be asked for a code, if you had filled a questionnaire before. if not proceed with the new questions. based on what you fill in the questionnaire will determine what documents you are able to submit.after completing the questionnaire you will see different sections with the require document for submission.

if you can see anything, you can try editing your answers in the questionnaire.

Has anyone applied for SOWP recently? My spouse applied in August, then the processing time was 14 weeks. However, a month back it was 16 weeks and now in December its 26 weeks . The application will be 4months old by next week which I hope the current processing time does not affect.

Hi, I am currently in my final year doing my project in business administration (PGD). Firstly, apart from the compulsory school fees I had to pay N10,000 at the study centre here in calabar for them to assign me a supervisor for my project. According to them (the supervisor will be from another uni). Now, after going through that process and eventually assigned a supervisor. My supervisor is asking N20,000 for supervision fee.

I don't know much about schools that offer PGdip in PA, but you could google "University of Victoria".
You can find lots of colleges offering PG cert in Ontario. Since most universities here have three entry's in a year, with sessions starting in September, January and May , it will be best you apply by December, April and October respectively. Requirement will defer by schools. But this the standard: bachelors degree transcript ( first class/2nd class upper), Test of English, CV, Statement of Purpose, references, fill out online application form and payment
