Really Bro. Look at it - if you search for it here on nairaland, at best, you will get two results : a 2008 model for sale at around 5m and a past 2010 Model. That was the first time I came across the LS models of Lexus. Then run a search on any S class Model and compare. You would agree with me that for every LS model you find on the road, 5 Benzes have gone past. In Ife where I currently school, there is currently only one LS500 on campus of which it's an early 90s model. But I've seen a lot of v boots and even a few 90s S Class. While both of them are tastefully luxurious, let's face the fact that in our clime, the S class left the LS miles behind

Lexus beats Mercedes in reliability and holds its value wayyy longer than a Mercedes. I agree with you on that bumper getting wrecked but on reliability, I have my doubts. That's why I still see more V Boots on the road than LS. The ES and IS models have even relegated the GS models to the background. No doubt about the LS being the standard of luxury before Mercedes came out with the S Benz in 1990 however, I think a Nigerian president using the LX 570 as an official vehicle is much more feasible than an LS 500.
