Pls house .. I need your urgent advice . Canada requested for my passport since June 23rd , 2023 but I missed out on the mail . Yesterday, they sent another mail and when I checked it , they have rejected my application based on the fact that I refused to provide my passport when asked !! .

My status have change and application have been approved.. like i said i dont plan going to brazil oo that the fact
i will wait for their collection emaill before i go and pick it up
cause what i needed the passport for have already been done in another way

February 10th. I didn't have access to check my status online because everything from start to finish was handled by an agent.

Eeya!!! You can apply again if you want to. Although, 800k is too small as closing balance. Considering how weak the naira is, half of that money already covers the flight and you have little left for accommodation, feeding and miscellaneous and also you need to have some money left for when you come back. That is how the visa officer would have analyzed your funds.

Half of the money covers flight ke? I checked flight from Lagos to Sao Paulo yesterday and it was around 750k round trip.

Sorry to hear about it, but i remembered a travel agent told me to have at least 1.5m as closing balance when applying. Guess you can repackage and re-submit. I am still awaiting my own visa. God help us amen.

Give yourself about 4 to 6 weeks after delivery to do all you need to do before going home, this depends on how fast you start processing your documents. You can come into brazil anytime you want to before delivery.


1.Birth certificate (Same day)
2.Passport processing takes one week
3.RG ( One week to three weeks) depends on when you are told to come and pick up or when it is delivered to your house.
4. For the PR (That's if your are interested), this depends on how fast you get a date to apply. I was lucky to get early dates just the first day i searched for me and my family so i guess you will when you are ready

Yes we actually got our passports back with 3 months visa stamped ( multiple entry) under 1 week , but to be sincere it was handled by a travel agent whos planning my family vacation in SA this Christmas period...

Please has anyone who applied for visiting visa (tourism) without reuniting with family received any positive feedback yet? This is because i did my biometrics since Nov, but haven't gotten any update yet.

Hello everyone

Just wanted to drop my update.

I first applied on the old platform in April and reapplied on the new platform October 14. Got ppr November 26 then sent passport to abuja on the 29th , received stamped passport on the 6th today.

Got the passport yesterday. Was issued same 3 months validity multiple ent visa. I went to holiday inn website and made the reservation with my card. However the hotel cancelled the reservation some days later. I dont know why as they didnt notify me thus my guess is that they attempted to charge the card and it declined due to the $200 limit on naira denominated mastercards
