ValeeLove: and that's why they never made it in the business. A good athlete sells himself with wrestling ability and good acting. Those guys with gimmicks can't cos they aren't good. YOU DON'T NEED A GIMMICK TO BE A SUCCESSFUL WRESTLER, especially in 2022.
Tyler Breeze, I can attest, has great wrestling ability and good acting. He never made it because WWE only uses these gimmicks as entertainment and rarely, if not never, lets the wrestlers showcase their full abilities.
Finally caught up on Kaguya-sama S3. The rap battle was as fantastic as advertised. Ya Boy Kongming's rap battle still remains unbeaten, though, in the rankings of Spring 2022 rap battles.
Kaguya-sama boasts the more visually aesthetic, though. With everything from 90s hip-hop aesthetics to an homage to Queen's video for Bohemian Rhapsody, this was an absolute treat to watch.
Had to catch up on this so I could jump on the third season ASAP. The second season of LD+R suffers from the success of the first season. With big shoes to fill, it tries and fails to match up to the first season's offerings. With less than half of the first season's 18 episodes at 8 episodes, fans probably hoped the stories had been better curated and they were being offered the cream of the crop. So, the backlash is completely understandable. That's not to say it was a complete bust though. There were a few standout episodes. Episode 7 - Life Hutch: A wounded space pilot is trapped in an air station with a malfunctioning maintenance robot. A tense battle for survival with the clock running out on the pilot's life, this episode delivers a suspense-filled story with engaging storytelling that will have you focused on the screen.
Episode 4 - Snow in the Desert: follows an albino man, Snow, who's being hunted because of a regenerative ability that basically renders him almost immortal. The story mixes hard hitting action with soft, emotional moments and delivers a pretty wholesome conclusion.
Episode 8 - The Drowned Giant: If you like National Geographic diary episodes or something of that nature, you'll definitely like this one. And that's just the surface presentation. The Drowned Giant touches on a lot of topics about life, nature, reactions & relationships on a deeper level. I find myself going back to this episode and pondering on some of the lessons and messages it tries to pass across. Fair Warning: It's a total gamble, though. You'll either love it or you'll curse me for wasting your time and data
Also, if you can spare 5 minutes, check out Episode 6 - All Through the House. Just go in blind and wait for the twist.
oyaskii: S1 totally blew me away not gonna lie, the blend of animation style and the blend of stories was so top tier. I was skeptical about S2 topping it with fewer episodes and when i saw the ratings dipped from S1, i didn't bother to see it, and i was hoping S3 would ignite my interest. So in all honest, is S2 a lost cause, should i skip to S3?
Since it's an anthology series, even if you don't feel like watching the whole of S2, check out Snow in the Desert and Life Hutch before moving on to S3.
Purpl3: The questions are valid as regards the rules they set up in the movie if you think about it.
It's exactly because of the rules they set that the questions are invalid. Man's basically asking questions the plot already answered, if he bothered to pay attention and trying to headcanon his own script into the issue.
DieRich5: boss after the movie, this season worth my time? I Dy see same people in the same train ND I remember u saying it's the same thing with the movie
Just asking if I can pass it to the next season ND only watch the last episode in this
Nope. It's basically the movie split into different episodes. Move on to Entertainment District Arc.
Purpl3: Yes it will...I read somewhere that they have heat with some talents especially the lower placed talents considering how that spot is where most of them would like to be and they feel Sasha and Naomi are taking it for granted.
Me I just dey hope say Naomi no go be rat wey follow lizard dance for rain. Sasha has leverage and backups. Don't know how far the Anoai will go to bat for Naomi if shit hits the fan
CoolUsername: First, Notihiro Watsuki, the author of Rurouni Kenshin. Then Tatsuya Natsuki, the author of Act-Age...
Guess who just got busted for CP? Kenya Suzuki, the author of Please Tell Me! Galko-chan got caught trying to import 6 CP magazines from Germany. Further searches of his home uncovered a total of 21 of such magazines.
Thought Kenya's bust was old news. Or is this another bust after last year's own?
Minemrys: Cause you didn't see the complaints on the CGI then. You are complaining of this CGI cause subconsciously you have heard people complaining about it. The CGI is okay.
What if he was one of the first people to complain about the CGI? Why is it that when something becomes popular opinion, people try to invalidate it just based on that? Sure, there's probably a lot of folks who can't even tell when something's CG parroting this point. But that doesn't mean everyone criticizing the CGI is just following public opinion.
SMUAG: Yes, read it again... A perfect story or superior plot, do you think riff-rats humans like Butcher and his team will survive a day from a psychopath like Homelander that can hear anything even 100miles from him or can see as far as there is no zinc blocking his view,,, Mind you, Homelander is not Supes that lives by a code of not hurting humans even if they are evil.
SMUAG: And kindly show me where I said so... If you know the amount of vfx put on the Peacemaker last three episodes you will be shocked.... I still repeat, cbm or series are vfx driven unless you are not talking about Superhero movies or series... The story/plot is basic, while the vfx makes it more cbm/s related. Imagine a series like The Boys with 20 or 30% VFX lol... The Boys series is superior to almost all cbs released these days not because of its story, but because of the magnificent VFX work done by the production team... Look at Superman and Lois, the story is fabulously compelling, but the vfx is getting worse by the day and people have started losing interest... In fact, people are even praying for it to be canceled, because very soon we will be getting a typical CW's VFX (if at all it's not there already).
Perhaps I need glasses abi did I just read you saying The Boys is a superior show, not because of the story or characters, but the VFX?
