I don't know of any anime forum that doesn't hide NSFW content in some way. MAL uses spoiler tags, reddit has NSFW that automatically blurs the images, even 4chan has dedicated NSFW boards.

This is the general anime thread so I'm generally cool with all sorts of anime-related content being posted here. However, posting lewd images in the general board without any regard for others is a d.ck move no matter how you look at it. Not every anime fan is a degenerate weeb. Not everyone wants to or has to see that. Subjecting everybody to your weeb fetishes makes the rest of us weebs look bad.

Hey I never said everyone liked it. Just said I hadn't encountered complaints till this thread. But on a second thought, I realize that those who didn't want such content popping up on their timeline most likely blocked it. I'm probably encountering this here cos this forum lacks tools for personalization of experience.

Common courtesy is to leave at least one level obfuscation between the main page and NSFW content, such as linking to another page or creating your own thread so that people get a fair warning before stumbling upon giant pictures of loli hentai in public.

To be fair to the poster, there were no serious complaints before today. Hell, there was even appreciation for the pics.
And honestly, this is my first time of coming across an anime community that's largely touchy about NSFW. content.

Google the meaning of pornography. Ecchi and 'mature fan art' count as porn.

If we go this route, anybody can classify any content they're not comfortable with as porn.

You're missing the point. Some people don't want to view NSFW content in public. The poster should be aware of this, yet they still post NSFW content in this thread that isn't meant for such. If you even bothered to read nairaland rules, you'd know that they're in the wrong here. I don't get why you're defending this person.

But there is no way to know whether or not the poster was aware of some people's preferences before posting. The rules I read spoke against posting pornography which he hasn't. And before this issue was raised, most of us were under the impression that we could post ANYTHING anime-related here. At the very least, after today, we should have reached a compromise on this issue.

When I said the poster might not be aware of this, I'm also talking about those of us who can't really relate to a restricted phone experience, so we end up taking it for granted and assuming it's the same way for everyone.

Except this site has no way of hiding NSFW content unless you choose to see it. you can do that on whatsapp and Discord instead, or create another group for it. Some people are browsing nairaland in their workplace so consideration should be given.

Rapists usually have types of women they're attracted to. Factors affecting this can range from age, looks, profession, etc. If you fit into a rapists type, your dressing will do nothing to dissuade him
Also bear in mind that if a lady chances across hoodlums in a vulnerable location, her dressing will do absolutely nothing to save her if the men are rapists.

So, it really is not about sounding politically correct but destroying the idea that women somehow invite or attract rapists by virtue of their dressing.

I literally couldn't care about any of the deaths, except for Bulat. Also felt a bit for Leone cos she died like a pathetic stray. I laugh whenever people say that Akame ga Kill is tragic or sad. The manga is a bit better, though.

For example the office scene, the young man was running around begging without posing any challenge or even Bill, a trained mi6 officer crying like a baby.. Very amateurish....

You seem to think every able-bodied man is also courageous. And I don't remember Bill crying. Are you talking about the guy she killed in a club or the guy she killed in a safe house?
Even then, none of those guys were trained in combat or anything of the sort. Hell, both of those guys were desk analysts.

On the subject of Bill, any full fledged man should be able to defend himself at the least put up a resistance to who let's be honest a villanelle who hasn't shown any special physical traits yet...
She's no Bourne but the show wants us to suspend belief that she is.....

Well then, you created your problem for yourself. Because the show has NEVER tried to portray Villanelle as a Jason Bourne type character.
Villanelle does not have any special physical traits. And how was Bill supposed to defend himself in a crowded club where he even had difficulty moving?
Your problem seems to be that you're trying to make Villanelle into what she's not, and then expect the show to rationalize that for you.

kendrick9 is right though. We haven't really seen a quality fight scene from Villanelle after 3seasons. I can't even call that tussle she had with the other girl at the train station a fight scene(in season 3) cos twas like two street girls fighting.

Because Villanelle is not really a brawler. Sneak and surprise attacks are more her forte.

Like who does that? She is a field agent for crying out loud.( I can't remember them all from my head)

Maybe cos she is the golden goose that why nothing they touch her.

The way Dasha fears(respects) her handlers from Russia isn't same for Villanelle.

The rope she is given for a Russian operative is way too long abeg.

I'm still at the beginning of the third season so I can't really comment on the boy she's supposed to train.

The death of her handler in S2 can't be explicitly pinned on her so she can get some kind of pass on that.
Then, remember that The Twelve is a pragmatic association. It's not like they love Villanelle or anything. She's just useful to them for now until she isn't and then she can be disposed of.
Also, remember that Villanelle is a psychopath without much regard for her own life and safety. So it follows that she would not fear the Russian handlers as Dasha does.
Lastly, The Twelve are not exclusively a Russian outfit which would explain why they're not as severe.
